We were lucky to get a spot for the month but had to leave by a certain date due to a pending reservation from another group. They have a laundry room, DVD collection, and a library that we took advantage of while staying there. The park is located just across the street from the local grocery store making it convenient for shopping. There are desert walking trails out the back of the park that we also utilized on a daily basis with our dogs. We would definitely stay here again when we are in the area if they had availability.

Pioneer doesn't seem to advertise -- couldn't find them on either our mapping software or on the HWY 8 road signs into Wellton -- but they are worth the slightly extra cost over their closest competitor, Tier Drop RV park (which is not NEARLY as nice). And US mail and packages are always easy-peezy to get from the park office, unlike many other RV parks with all of the problems inherent in your typical USPS deliveries in many other small towns.

The landscape is beautiful although I would love more palms. The walkability is perfect The amenities are fantastic from the laundry, weight room, pool, to the pickleball and clubhouse. Any issue I've had has been swiftly addressed with kind professional caring respect. The rv sites are large and clean. The only gripe I would have is the lack of respect fellow campers have when it comes to cleaning up after their dogs. If I were to request big changes.... Open pool from 7am-10pm, more palms, offer covered spots (like the KOA in Tucson) , and find a way to In force guests cleaning up after their dogs.

The sandy beach is the cleanest in Mexico, the tides are extreme so the beach and view are ever-changing. The park is large, flat, sandy. No palm trees or green except by the hot tub. It is very well staffed; the same faces every year to help with a problem. Security all night long; we see him walking all night with his flashlight. There is a community-managed 'Social Club' wiht Karaoke, Bing, LRC, Zumba and Line Dance. There is also a nice group of every-speed bicyclists in the winter months. Plus potlucks for special events. Nice Hot tub and showers.laundry. Vendors come through with propane, water, shrimp, breakfast burritos. This is a GREAT place to have work done on your RV! Paint, repairs, upholstery! I'm rating it a 5 because of the cleanliness, safety and location. It is what it is, it is NOT a palm oasis, but it is a well managed park in a great location.
