Did it drive through at playa del Oro RV Park and ran across their very beautiful bar on the beach. Bartender was super friendly and made us two very large margaritas and they were delicious They did not cut back on the alcohol. Definitely a place I would bring my rig to because when Tide is out on the other side the tide is not out there. Thank you guys for a wonderful day.

We have been coming to here since Sept 2017 & enjoy coming usually in May Oct & this past year in Jan.The staff in the office beginning with Jerry provides excellent customer service as well as the ladies. The park is pretty chill & easy going! Security are friendly & provide worry free protection @ all times, especially night time. The guys in maintenance, Jr , Gustavo, Juan others do a great job in the park & can provide or know who can provide excellent RV fix it & services. The Beach Front spaces are great & provide you with a beautiful view 24/7. The back spaces are fine & will save you some money. The have a fresh water pool coin laundry & coin operated showers in the restrooms. They also sell ice in 7 lb bags. They have Suites which are very nice, haven't stayed in them yet. The Pitaya Bar is right on the beach & provide drinks & food. Vendors stroll the beach with all kinds of goods you will find on the Melacon. The rates are reasonable for RV spots. Holidays fill the park up, off season is nice , humid in July - Sept. The music from the neighboring clubs are loud during their season. Beware! Enjoy Playa De Oro.

Great Park with private beach area. New bar (2025)with food (typical MX dishes) Close to town but quiet at night with security at the gate and walking around campground all night long. Office staff is GREAT and prices reasonable. They also have suites to rent as well as RV Rentals. I have been coming there for at least 17 years and stay for 2 weeks. read more
We have been coming to Rocky Point for over 30 years and bought an RV a few years ago and have recently started staying there. Never had any issies. They have clean bathrooms, showers and they also have a laundry room if you need one. The park is well maintained and the beach is nice and close. They even have an outside bar overlooking the beautiful beach, with delicious margaritas! The park rates are decent and they are located near everything. read more

Friendly staff, right on the beach, gated with security 24/7, spa on site, beach massages, showers and laundry facilities. Pretty close parking but other than that it was a great stay! read more

We have been coming to this R.V. Park for about three years now. The good: Management is very polite and on top of things. Public restrooms and showers are very clean. People that stay there or pretty chill for the most part. Older crowd so don't try to get hammered and light off fireworks. They will put the smack down on that. Security is good. Leonardo is on the overnight shift. No funny business while he is on the job. The bad: Bar across the street plays very loud music on the weekends. read more

Our first time to Rocky Point, nice big gravel level sites. Had booked beach front, but they were working on the sea wall, still got a close one near the beach good utilities, Wi-Fi was fair, our Starlink rocked. If you need anything, ask the staff- almost any repairs can be handled. We'll come back read more

clean place. The sea surf/foam on the beach is rough and there's too much seaweed on the sand. This park is in an older, neglected and unkempt neighborhood. I am assuming this area had its heydays but the popularity has shifted north-west to the Sandy Beach area. i would still park my Motorhome here if the other RV place is full. A walk up the beach will reveal a few food/drink spots and older hotels. read more

Before ypu park your trailer.... double check that you can plug into 50 Amp if you need it. Only 1 per 4 spots and they won't rearrange if it's already being used. Theu say nothing is "reserved" and half the park is empty and they wouldn't move us.... "they just can't find where to put us". Nice service. read more

Been coming here for years. Great place. We feel very safe here. Management and security has been the same for years. We may be moving into the park full time. read more

The park has the misfortune of being located across the street from a newly opened two-story open-air dance club that blares music from 7pm to 2:30am nightly. The music floods the entire campground and there is no escape from it. Either prepare to stay up all night or invest in a good pair of ear plugs. Hopefully the nightclub will go the way of all the other joints in this area and close down soon. It opened in December 2017 and is still going strong now in March 2018. read more

Love, love this place. Been to the rest and this is the best kept secret. Super friendly, great beach, close to everything. But don't come here we don't want more people to know about this great place. Ha ha. read more

I've had my trailer at this park for over a year now, which is very convenient as I email them and they pull out my trailer and have it all set up by the time I get there, we go about every three weeks most trips for 3 days at a time from Sept thru June just to get away, we have never had any issues at the RV park. Well, this past weekend decided to go and spend 5 days down there, there was only about 9 RVer in entire park so we got a beach front (which are impossible to get) This is there off season so there regular security post (entrance was not there) well it cost me 3 fishing poles about $200. I was getting my trailer washed and waxed on Sunday (at my site) so my wife and I decided to go have lunch (my mistake leaving poles out! I thought we would be back before guy was done washing and waxing) but when I returned and trailer was already washed and waxed I noticed fishing poles gone I notified office of missing poles lady in office said yeah, "I seen them running out of park threw the entrance gate with the poles but I'm the only one here, I couldn't do anything". I don't blame her it was My fault for leaving poles out but be aware of low to no security during off season, had the regular entrance guard been there he could of caught them. I will continue to go but won't go again in off season July or August and will be putting all my stuff away when I'm not at my RV site. Lesson learned read more

Playa de Oro has VERY poor security, Things are stolen on a regular basis. If your ok with putting everything away every time you leave your camp site this could be the park for you. read more
