The first time I ever stayed here was back in 2009 and I've been staying here ever since! To start off every condominium I've had the pleasure of staying has been a 3 bedroom, which includes two bedrooms on a lower level floor and the master bedroom on the second level. It's such a convenient condominium for a large family which needless to say, usually around 8-10 family members join us on our trips to peñasco, so it's always great! Although most people don't go on vacations to cook, my family and I get good use out of the kitchen that every condominium is provided with, we make everything from breakfast to dinner! Good way to save money if you don't mind all the cooking :) I love the fact that there are not only 1, or 2 but 3 POOLS in this resort!! Most hotels only have a semi good size pool and one or two jacuzzi's but the fact that this resort has 3 pools is amazing!! And on the occasions that I've been there most pools don't get packed at all, since there are so many to choose from, guests go to all 3 instead of staying all in the same pool!! No need to worry about accidentally kicking someone if you're trying to swim lol Lastly, the staff is very under appreciated! They give the best customer service and are always super kind and helpful! A few weeks ago my dad and I made our reservations for the summer and a worker by the name of Fernando was able to assist us through everything smoothly! (FYI: if you book online you only have to pay half of what the room will cost for your entire trip! And once you get to the resort on the day of your arrival date you pay the rest! It's great because you don't need to worry about having to pay it all in full!) Anyways, Fernando was able to assist us very well and provided us with the room we stayed in last time we were here back in 2015! If you ever read this Fernando, thank you for your help!!! We greatly appreciate it! I will always enjoy my stay in Princesa de Peñasco! my family and I already booked our trip for next month in July and we cannot wait to be there already, soaking up the sun and swim in the pool and enjoy everything that this resort has to offer! And walking distance to the beach. To get to the "El Malecón" was probably a 10 or less minute drive, where the hype is at night. There's parasailing available, boat rides, atms or can-am available and other tourist attractions to do.

Room was large and very clean; bed must have been a California king (since it was bigger than my king-sized bed). Kitchen area had a decent sized mini-fridge with an actual freezer, and a microwave. Interior walls are concrete/stucco, so I would imagine rooms are quiet even during the busy season. Our balcony was really only deep enough for standing room, not sure this is true for all rooms, but that was the only down-side. View was spectacular. All the staff was extremely friendly, and the bell person was especially informative. The included breakfast offered fairly minimal but well rounded selections; portions were ample--and delicious! They also offer an additional (paid) breakfast menu. Another on-site restaurant off of the casino area (La Arena 3C) was suuuuper good with amazing specials and happy hour pricing. On Taco Tuesday: three shrimp tacos and a chicken taco; three mini-quesadillas; a large bottle of jamaica aqua fresca; a beer; and a dessert special with two carajillos (coffee cocktails) and a small cake all came to $26.04. Ridiculous. We obviously ate there twice. There's a cute little "beach" area on the property just past the pool that overlooks the sea and has tables with umbrellas and lounge chairs, or daybeds. All with food/drink service. Perfect lounging (napping?) area. Since we were only visiting for two days we never left the resort property, and were perfectly happy with what was available to us. There is a drug store just across the street for water and other needs, but we brought all our own. Can't wait to come back and stay here again and explore the town!

The unit had a full fridge, kitchen, washer and dryer, and bathroom. The 2 of the 3 pools had a swim up bar. There is a path to the ocean within walking distance. There is a store on the property, and a restaurant too that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We found they were best for breakfast. The negative for me was the very thin walls. You can hear many things and so through the night we did not sleep too deeply or woke up early because of the noises. But that is more the building than the unit. Also a negative, you can not drink the water, bring water bottles. It does not have an infiltration system. You'll get a stomach illness if you do. I was ill for 3 days from taking some with my antihistamine.

The resort has direct beach access, multiple pools, swim-up bar, a restaurant, a convenience store, atm, and gym. It is secured with a gate and security team. And of course, beautiful views. We felt safe the whole time. Security will deal with noisy or unruly guests. There are bellhops to help you bring your stuff in when you arrive. You are just a few minutes from great restaurants such as Mare Blu and Garufa. Emiliano's, located at the plaza, is good for if you don't want to drive anywhere. And the convenience store was helpful when we needed more waters and sports drinks. I loved the swim-up bar for piña coladas and they use these frozen cherry sours that are so good, the bartender gave me some extras. Everyone who works here is friendly. The beach is a little rocky (Rocky Point), but there are some sandy paths you can find through the water. One thing is the walls seem thin. We heard neighbors watching a movie, people outside, doors closing, chairs moving, etc. It wasn't a big deal, but something to consider. Thankfully they have quiet hours after 10pm which are enforced by security, so you can be sure there won't be anything crazy at night. Overall, I'm really glad I chose Sonoran Sun for our first trip to Puerto Peñasco together and I would stay again.

My first thought was, No. It's just going to be another one of those campy fake pirates pretending to be a real pirates sunset cruise thingys....blah blah blah.... And, it was that, but it was also more entertaining than I ever thought it would be! First of all, the captain of the boat let, what appeared to be, his 10-14 year old son steer the boat out of the dock into the open water and from that point on the captain took over. *phew* I was worried for a minute. I'll give the kid props. He actually did a good job *clap clap clap* While at sea no dolphins were spotted, but that's ok because there was plenty of entertainment to keep the crowd's interest. There was the two "old" men dancing routine, a couple contests, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) were flowing, line dancing and other activities. The boat does have bathrooms, the staff is bilingual, the parking attendant costed 50 pesos, the meal served was just edible so I wouldn't pay the extra $5 for that again, the environment is definitely family friendly. All in all I had a great time and would do it again in the future.

This is the place we chose to stay at last minute. It is nothing fancy... but it is clean and…read morecheap. The beds are comfy, the shower is hot and has great pressure. We are with in walking distance to the fish markets, shopping, bars and sunset views. The owners are super friendly and there are two black cats that like hanging around. This was the first building built in Rocky Point, the hideout of Al Calpone and some other shady characters. The parking is secure. Would highly recommend staying here if you want to be a part of history and do not need all the fancy condo living.
