Communication and the clarity are poor. The experience with violin instructor, Ana, was unpleasant. She showed little patience to the point where my daughter was put off the violin. When approaching Ana, asking her to extend patience to the student, she gave us a "this is how I am, take it or leave it" type of response. We are very disappointed.

It's hard to rate this place like any other music school or business in the area. Its function (not…read moreits "mission") is to teach arts and music to the community at a very reasonable rate (the community is rather underprivileged and this place is a real gem). So what is it that they offer? It seems like everything under the sun. They have a choir, a folklorico group (I think), and some other public/non-enrolled groups. Quality teachers instruct in instrumental education at a reduced rate for kids, including but not limited to strings, woodwinds (though I see less of them and haven't seen any brass players, but you probably should call to find out), piano and percussion. They are also respected for their voice instruction, as Alison Iraheta from American Idol some seasons ago was instructed here. However, it's not just instrumentation and music that they teach, they also have a drama class and several other seasonal rotating classes. Additionally, one of the most spectacular things about this school is their summer camp program (camp MusArt). The program has some great staff and instructors, and they usually have two months (1 section per month) and a production for each section (a fully staged musical) by the kids. Howe we, last summer they were only able to manage one section because LAUSD has screwed up their schedules with their budget issues forcing kids to go back to school at different times. The last show was the Wizard of Oz, prior to that they've done Mary Poppins, the Lion King, Mulan, West Side Story, etc. every year it's a treat for the kids to participate. Nothing can replace the quality they provide on such a reasonable level. Arts need more support, check out what you can do to help at http://www.lamusart.org

We got there kind of late and ended up sitting in the balcony, which didn't have the best sound, unfortunately, but the view was pretty good. It's a tiny theater anyway so you're never too far from the stage, and the enthusiasm of the performers and audience made for a rollicking good time despite it all. It's definitely got some wear-and-tear but I found it quite charming, nonetheless, and I'd definitely come back for other productions in the future. We parked in the structure across the street, but if you get there early enough you might score a spot in their tiny parking lot or on the street.

It was a great seat for me as I was able to see the stage. The way that the theater was set up, it was designed for all to see. I would like to try the upper level to see if that's a better angle. But for my $40 that I spent, I was VERY happy for the price and the seats. I picked up my ticket from Will Call, it was an easy pickup. The parking is at the Music Center entrance for $10 and you take the escalators upstairs to the theater which was nice and convenient. There's beverages, sandwiches and snacks to purchase as well. I went to watch Kim's Convenience and I was also lucky that they had the cast speaking at the end of the play so that was still well worth the money. I would definitely come back and enjoy the theater.

I have been to the LA Philharmonic Walt Disney Concert Hall several times to see/hear different genres of music from ballet, to symphony, to jazz, and of course classical music, and during the holidays they give a great performance by their choir. Those of you who know me, know I love classical music and do have my favorite composers: Chopin, Vivaldi and Mozart. On Sunday, March 29th at 7:30pm my friend and I went to see Strauss, Bruch, & Moussa's elegant, classy performance that shook up the whole entire venue and the audience. It was just MAGNIFICENT! 10/10 The venue itself is STUNNING! Glamorous and easy to navigate all the aisles. Our seats were very comfortable and you can see the stage from any corner/angle since the theatre is not that big. Also has balcony seating. Tickets were $50 a piece not including tax. It has a beautiful gift shop, garden, different restaurants all around the building, and a small store where you can purchase some beverages and snacks. Overall, a GREAT performance and we both had a lovely time. Parking is $10 with few an entrances and few restrooms for both men & women. Thank you all for another AWESOME performance!! Will definitely return again next time I get a brochure or pamphlet in my mail.

The performance was even more amazing than we had imagined & so lively! Music | The LA Phil was incredible! The sounds of the different instruments, made a beautiful melody! It was also incredible hearing the powerful, booming sounds, as the musicians played fiercely! It really stirred up excitement inside & made my heart race at times! Performance | Elim Chan & Masabane Rangwahasha | 100% fabulous! They were both incredible! It was amazing seeing a female conductor lead with so much passion, grace, as well as excitement! It's as if she was doing a beautiful yet powerful dance! Hearing the beautiful voice and talent radiating from Masabane, as she sang opera was mesmerizing! She stood confident, poised & proud and was a sight to be seen and heard! Walt Disney Concert Hall | Magical! I loved all of the curves and shapes of the building, both inside and outside, as well as the majestic shades and colors throughout! Drinks & Bites | I was excited to see refreshments, as I know, we were going to eat afterwards, but a light bite was perfect! I enjoyed a few bites of my chocolate brownie & my friend and I had a glass of red wine! Our bartender was awesome! I believe he was located on the fourth floor, personality plus, thanks again! Not only was this place fairly easy to find but I also really like to see that people attending the show were granted free parking! Just one block away there was a corner lot with workers directing people to parking spots. A big thank you to the venue for making this happen as it definitely saves you the headache of having to find a parking spot. Plus it felt really safe to be able to park somewhere where there is a lot of light and people. After entering the venue, I noticed it was not very big but there was still a really good crowd there. The show sold out and there was still a lot of room in there, which I really liked. Nothing is worse than having to be inside a venue where everyone is crammed in there like sardines. They also have a big bar as you enter the second floor where they do the shows. The stage was also very up and close to the audience. There is pretty much nothing separating the performers from the people watching which I also enjoyed because it allows us to get a better view of the stage and performers. Additionally, the sound was also very good and I could hear everything clearly, from the piano to the backup vocals. Not bad at all ! Also, I'm happy the first show I got to see here was Mikel Erentxun. He played an amazing show and he really shows how he loves what he is doing and takes great pride in his music and work. I hope to come back here soon and see more artists play.
