The music was great. The facility was horrible. There was only standing room available. They claimed that this would create an unique environment being close to performers. The air conditioning was not working properly and it was pretty hot inside. The main performers did not start until an hour later. The neighborhood is not the safest. There wasn't anybody in charge of the parking place. I will not attend this venue again.

Had a really good time here the other night when I came to see Mikel Erentxun perform. It was my first time coming to this venue and I enjoyed it greatly. Not only was this place fairly easy to find but I also really like to see that people attending the show were granted free parking! Just one block away there was a corner lot with workers directing people to parking spots. A big thank you to the venue for making this happen as it definitely saves you the headache of having to find a parking spot. Plus it felt really safe to be able to park somewhere where there is a lot of light and people. After entering the venue, I noticed it was not very big but there was still a really good crowd there. The show sold out and there was still a lot of room in there, which I really liked. Nothing is worse than having to be inside a venue where everyone is crammed in there like sardines. They also have a big bar as you enter the second floor where they do the shows. The stage was also very up and close to the audience. There is pretty much nothing separating the performers from the people watching which I also enjoyed because it allows us to get a better view of the stage and performers. Additionally, the sound was also very good and I could hear everything clearly, from the piano to the backup vocals. Not bad at all ! Also, I'm happy the first show I got to see here was Mikel Erentxun. He played an amazing show and he really shows how he loves what he is doing and takes great pride in his music and work. I hope to come back here soon and see more artists play.

Old school since 1924. My friends and I came out to this venue to see Led Zeppelin all female tribute band Zepparella. You have to go through a metal detector to enter and they don't allow in and outs, unless you are going to the pizza joint next door. The interior is beautiful and they have a bar with the usual pricey drinks.

Currently here at a sold out show and am contemplating leaving before the headliner. While some of the staff were nice making sure to check in with me as I am a disabled patron overall I have to say this was one of the worst live performances I've ever attended . I have no view of the stage ( their ada solution is literally to just place a chair in the back corner of the room . Moreover the speaker is so loud ...I believe on purpose so they can sell more earbuds to patrons . Can't recommend this venue at all .

Came to see Manny Toloroche and Carlos y Charlos. Glad I got my tickets with time as this event was sold out. The venue was small but it wasn't overcrowded which was great. Music was amazing had a great time! Staff at the entrance was friendly my only complaint was that doors were suppose to open at 7pm and didn't open till 7:40. Drinks were ok the tequila variety was not that great. But overall had a great time. Ladies if you were heels be prepared to stand ALL night there is no seating or tables.

First experience at this venue and we saw "Kinky" in concert. End of April show, but it was extremely hot in the upstairs show area. Also, I only noticed one exit from the second floor, which might not be great in case of emergencies. Mostly on street parking in residential neighborhood, but there was one small parking lot a block away, which seemed to fill up quickly. I thought the acoustics for this rock concert were pretty good. They did have a bar upstairs, and I believe I saw one on the first floor as well. The band was over an hour late starting, but I don't know if that was their fault, or the promotional materials from the venue. Overall, we had a good time.

Ask the Community - The Paramount

Is this place All ages ? Or is it 21 and over?

I attended a concert there a couple of months ago, and there were definitely kids there under 21, accompanied by their parents. You might need to check, if it's show specific or not.

Is there paid parking or valet parking - is it safe for a single girl going to a show?

There is FREE parking located one block west of the venue at 2530 E. Cesar E. Chavez Los Angeles, CA 90033

Okay fine to that. My partner and I were looking for a menu. I asked "do you have a specialty cocktails menu or a regular menu somewhere?" and she said a short no and said any regular bar drink will do. After she goes back on her phone to scroll, I turn my head and see a menu with some basic cocktails and their variations (which is what I initially asked about). Once my partner was ready to order palomas for us, we try getting her attention and kinda stared and waved hands, but she continued to scroll on her phone. It took her coworker to talk to her. THEN, she makes our palomas and stops to tell us her soda gun isn't working, so she couldn't top it off with soda. Fine cool, assuming she'll give us a small discount, but she charges us $24 for two palomas. So really we just paid for lemon tequila drinks that should've just been $16 for both. Palomas don't cost that much either. Should be just like $10, unless the Paloma is presentable then yeah $12 is fine. So, she ripped us off, didn't offer any accommodation for it, and was pretty distant and careless with her job. Anyway, don't come here if you care about customer service. Kinda strange here because this looks like a hot spot and charming, but they got the wrong people working here honestly. Something's up with management or a lack of boosting morale.

Felt as though I were in México, not in Distrito Federal but in a less cosmopolitan city where in the old days Straights and Gays kind of mixed together although in some bigger venues there were areas where Gays had their own corner. Redz Bar is too small for separation, and it makes it hard to determine who is who. I was there on a busy Saturday around 9pm. All the tables were taken by party goers. I stole one of the few bar stools still left. Beer & wine bar: Ordered a Michelada that is bloody mary mix from a bottle, lemon juice, worchester sauce?, Modelo Mexican beer. The lip of the huge mug is lined with a salty, not very piquant chile powder like El Tajín. It's a refreshing, savory, Umami bomb just perfect on a hot day or night. My first Michelada ever. So I look around and it seems like a regular neighborhood Latino bar. If there are any Gays they were sprinkled around and not particularly & obviously visible. The friendly bartendress offered a free plate of antojitos / snacks which consisted of a small Tamal de Puerco con Salsa de Chile Colorado, and a bowl of Bírria soup in consommé w/ a small piece of goat. To me this Bírria tasted closer to a Pozole. Very hospitable gesture by Redz to give out such a tasty mini-meal. Redz caters to an East Los Angeles clientele. It's a liitle piece of México. Music is loud with Norteño & Son Afro-Mexican music from Veracruz tonight. I felt comfortable, and a nice Latina lady sitting next to me talked in her limited English and I in limited Spanish. Nice way to experience the East Los scene. 4 stars.
