They were great for the first 6 months, now it's the 2nd time in 4 months I've called in a refil that never went through. Last time I had to call three separate times to place the same refil, only to have to track down a head pharmacist to ensure they send them out (she had no record of me even placing the refil request, despite doing it 3 separate times) and now I am out of medication for at least a week-two weeks, which I need to take daily. I will be switching pharmacies now, as this place has gone way downhill and there is no point trying to get prescriptions if you have to fly to colorado and look over the person's shoulder and make sure they truly filled your prescription - regardless of what they say. Find another pharmacy!! read more

Was let down twice by this company. First I made the mistake of using automated ordering, they used an old expired card--resulting in a 5 day delay, called back to order, they got paid immediately, I said I'm out of meds and really need them. They said they would expedite it. Over a week later, still no meds, called again (waited 20 minutes on hold) and they said it never shipped because of a printer glitch. There really is no excuse for putting peoples health in jeopardy! They are obviously making a fortune and still cant keep up with the orders. There are other compounding pharmacies with better ratings on Google. I'll be going elsewhere with my next Rx. read more

I tried to use the computer system approx 2 month ago and after being very frustrated I gave up and called. I have to say they took care of my needs 100%. So I thought lets try the reorder system on the computer one more time, it is the easiest and fast system to reorder a proscription. 5 stars for getting the system down. The first time I used this pharmacy, it was three weeks before I received communication on my prescription. By then my doctor decided to use a local compounding pharmacy. The second time we gave them a try, it was perfect, hence the two stars instead of one. My prescription came quickly. The last time, they contacted me more than a day after my Rx was called in. I immediately called Belmar. Since I was nearly out of the prescription, (my doctor had me double up), I requested that it be overnight shipped. Also, I requested it be shipped to my summer address. The woman on the phone repeated my requests to me with my address change and rush shipping. Today is now 10 days since the Rx was ordered. It never arrived. No, it is not lost. It was shipped to the wrong address AND not rushed. It is still not at that address. When I emailed to complain I received a scathing email stating it was not requested to be rushed. Not true. I repeated myself three times. I was unaware when I received the email that it was also not shipped to the correct address, the address their representative repeated back to me. In the past year, Belmar has performed so poorly, I've had to transfer my script. Customer service has gone down hill, communication is non existent unless your credit card on file has expired, then they will call you immediately. My latest issue was exactly this, called to refill using automated service. Within an hour, received call from Belmar stating my card had expired, I provided new card # and expected my script to be filled and mailed. 7 days later, still no script. Call this a.m.(Monday) requesting status of my prescription. During the call with the pharmacists, I'm told the following: 1. Backlogged due to the holidays had delayed compounding. I ordered Jan 19, what holiday? 2.Then am told ingredients are not available. Really? You could have called me! Wait, I thought you said you were backlogged? 3. Then advised new fill turnaround is 4 -5 days vs 1 day. What? Since when? For the past 7 years, I've received my refills in the next day mail. I'm now 6 days without my prescription. 4. And finally, Belmar Pharmacy charged my credit card, the day I ordered, 6 days later, still no script. It's apparent that there is no accountability, no apology, no ownership or customer service left at Belmar. Goodbye from one of your long standing clients. read more

These folks are fabulous! I've been with them for years and since I travel, they have to send my prescriptions somewhere new every few months. They never miss a beat and they are always cheerful and helpful. The pharmacists are also very willing to chat about whatever it is I'm taking and answer my questions. But the most fabulous act of customer service was when I recently ordered a 90 days supply of pills. They mistakenly sent (and billed me for!) a year's supply. Quite a bill that I wasn't expecting! I called and within seconds, they told me that they would refund me the difference (over $200) and that I could keep the 365 day supply since it was their error. It doesn't get any more service-oriented than that. They've gained a customer for life. read more

I received testosterone hormone replacement therapy pills which I can only receive from this pharmacy. This is an oral pill that is designed to be swallowed, not dissolved under the tongue. I took the pills for two months. First mth 1/2 pill - 100 mg and felt no results. Second mth whole pill - 200 mg and still felt no results. Blood tests show this therapy does not work for me. In my opinion this form of testosterone is a waste of money. Given that only this pharmacy will produce the product, it makes me suspect that this may not work for anyone. My message is - to be highly suspect of this method of therapy. read more

Belmar used to be an excellent pharmacy to work with but no more. Where I would have given them 5 stars in the past prior to August 2019, no more. If I could give them less than 1 star, I would. For the past several months, every time I have to refill a prescription, something always happens where it is not refilled. No call, no explanation, phone system says it's been shipped but in reality, it has not. I have had problems with refills virtually every time I submit a refill over the past 3-4 months. They will use the excuse of their new system but this has happened over and over again. In order to speak to someone, you will have to wait a very long time but it seems that's the only way to safely refill. Before their new system, a rep would call me directly if there was a problem but now, you never hear anything until you call and thus do not even realize there is a problem until you've run out of the prescription. On top of all that, when checking on a refill from their phone system, it still hangs up on you when you press #5 to speak to a rep. This is unacceptable and I will be requesting a new pharmacy from my doctor. read more

Not a great first impression that I was told my medication would ship on Wednesday and I should receive by end of week. I noticed my card had not been charged, so I called and was informed by Megan that it was shipping today and I should receive in 3-5 business days. Not even an apology.. As soon as I hung up I received a text alert that my card was charged. Wonder if it would have shipped had I not called again. Hoping it gets here soon, so I can start to feel better. I've worked in pharmacy for 28yrs, so I'm a stickler for providing excellent customer service! I'd have at least offered an expedited method of shipping or at the very least an apology. Now, I can't get any response - they've had my prescription listed for almost 2 weeks and I can get no response from them at all - phone or e-mail! No one responds to phone messages left. My first Rx with them went very smoothly in January. They called me the day after my Dr called it in to get all my details and I had the medicine a few days later! Last week I used the website to get a refill. They called me within a few hours to let me know that they weren't able to ship to my state right now but had had the proper inspection the day before we talked, so they were just waiting for the paperwork to come through. They even offered to transfer my Rx to another pharmacy that could do it and ship to me at the same cost. DANGEROUS ERROR IN MY SCRIPT! I ordered T3/T4 time-release compounded medication and they use some sort of fiber that Hashimoto's patients cannot absorb and my TSH went up to 12.55 (supposed to be at 0.5)! I and my provided ordered a new immediate release T3/T4 and I talked extensively to Tina about this and she made a dangerous error and filled the original order and not the new prescription and my TSH went way up to 18.77! I called and talked to Tina about this and she yelled at me as if it was my fault! Tina was so rude to me and refused to take responsibility for her dangerous error and told me she would refund my money and told me to go to a different pharmacy! Not sure what has changed at Belmar, but their phone system is horrible and no one replies to emails...I have tried calling three days in a row, and there are always 22-34 calls ahead of me. With other compound pharmacies, I recommend to stay FAR AWAY from Belmar. They will use the excuse of the new system for waiting for your prescription. My first order was over 2 weeks late and my Dr.office had to call three times to get it done. I was personally called by the Pharmacist who apologized and said it wouldn't happen again. I understand changes take time so I decided to order my refill a week in advance through their new system and tracking. They charged me Monday the day I ordered it. The tracking said it was delivered Thursday, but is was not. Friday I drove to the pharmacy thinking it was delivered there. Only for them to say it was just then being processed. I told the tech I only had one more day of my medicine. He apologized and assured me it would be done Monday. However Monday at 12:30 pm it was not even started. They put it through and it only took 20 min to fill. So I had to go 2 days without my prescription, when on Friday they could have filled it. I will NEVER use this pharmacy. PLEASE save yourself and your family the stress and look elsewhere. There are too many other places that will treat you as a customer and not give you the run around. read more

I don't often review on Yelp, but my experience with Belmar has been so terrible I felt I needed to come and warn others. I take a special medication (to keep my cancer at bay) that needs to be compounded. Initially when I started with Belmar in May of 2019 things were fine. There were a few little issues that caused some headache (for about four months somehow the computer system was stuck on "mail" for my order so even when I would elect to pickup my order they would still mail it to me, which on more than one occasion caused me to run out of my medication before it arrived in the mail). Then a few months ago there was a computer glitch that caused a significant delay in getting my medication compounded. I ran out of it and went several days without it. I was considering switching after this incident but stuck with them. I very much wish I hadn't. About two weeks ago I put in a request for a prescription refill. On Monday 7/13 I received an email and a text saying my order was being mailed with an estimated two day delivery. By Friday it hadn't arrived so I checked the online tracking and it was still sitting at the pharmacy - it had been sitting there for a week and hadn't even been picked up by the postal service. They close at 1 on Fridays so I couldn't even call them and ask them to put it aside so I could come and pick it up. I ran out of medication on Friday and am now spending the weekend without meds. I am hoping the medication arrives on Monday, but that is still a full week after they said it had already been sent. At that point I will have missed between 12 and 14 doses of my cancer meds (I take it 4 times a day). DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY. It isn't worth it. read more

I've been a customer of Belmar Pharmacy for a few years and love the quality of their products. I too was frustrated on my most recent order when it was delayed due to their software changeover. Being a business owner myself, I know that things don't always go as planned, or as fast as we would have liked. BUT, to make things better in the long run, sometimes we have to go thru short-term pain. I got my prescription yesterday, and enclosed in it was the paperwork with my new sign-in name and temporary password. I can see that with this online ordering system that they've implemented, it will be easier in the future to order prescriptions, and I'm thankful for that. I have been ordering my bioidentical hormones from Belmar for at least 10 years now and my experience with them was always great. That is until this last year. Something has changed there. Their customer service has really gone downhill. They seem incredibly defensive and angry if you even ask a simple question, and there seems to be more mistakes being made as well. If you try to get clarification on something, they attack you, the customer, rather than listen and find a solution for the problem. It's very sad. I'm going on eight years of obtaining prescriptions from Belmar. I previously got compounded thyroid from here. I no longer take that but now I get a different compound prescription through Belmar. I am not sure why the negative reviews on customer service. My doctor called in a prescription yesterday morning. Belmar called me this morning to let me know they had received the prescription and needed to speak with me before they could fill it. I called them back and had a very pleasant conversation with a young man who was able to help me. Originally my doctor ordered two 3 mg tablets per day. The representative from Belmar told me it would be half the cost if I took one 6 mg tablet per day. He said he would call The doctor and get that updated for me. I also try to double my prescription if I can to save time and money. He told me they cannot always send out a six-month supply because of the expiration date. He said if he was able to, he would send me the six-month supply instead of the three month supply. I appreciate their concern about the expiration date on their medications since they are compounded fresh. I always get my prescriptions within 3 to 5 days. Wow! Okay, so I just called the pharmacy to see the status of my refill prescription since I haven't received it or a phone or email confirmation for my order. I made my order with a machine. I had no idea if they even have my order. So I called and said that I placed my order a couple of weeks ago and wanted to see if they have my order in. The lady who answered my call said that my order was placed November 1st, only 5 business days ago, not two weeks. I responded, oh good you have my order in and that is good. She repeated about 3 more times that the order was not placed 2 weeks ago, but rather 5 business days ago. Okay, so I get the mix up. Not a friendly way (defensive) to talk to a customer. I've been using Belmar Pharmacy for almost a year. Until August 2018 I've had excellent results. The compounded bioidenticals they sent me in August were not the same formula as in the past and made me very sick. They shipped me a new batch, at no charge, right away, but this batch is making me very dizzy. They were kind and courteous on the phone and said nothings changed with the formula or preparation. I have multiple allergies and was prescribed a Belmar compound by my doctor. She told me to call and get a list of ingredients to ensure safety. I spoke with multiple pharmacists and eventually the owner of the pharmacy. They refused to disclose ingredient information and would not confirm if the drug would be safe for me to take. The next pharmacy I called took 5 minutes to tell me the simple ingredients in their compound and ensured me it would be fine. I would not recommend taking medication from a place that is so concerned about people finding out what they put it in. read more

Horrible, horrible service. Let me count the ways that they managed to screw up every single order I had called in (literally every single one). They would call me to say my order was ready. I would drive (an hour round trip) only to find my order was not completely ready at all, and I would have to spend another hour round trip to pick up the rest of the order. No apologies and the guy in the front was always acting like he was doing me a favor by correcting their mistakes. He was so put out, as if I wasn't. They would prepare items I didn't need or more often than not, they DIDN'T prepare items I did need. The final straw was when I asked them to send me my prescription in the mail due to the COVid situation. I told them that my address changed, and I went over the new address with the guy (3) times on the phone -- let me say that again - (3) times I confirmed the new address with him, and they STILL managed to send it to my old address, which not only had a COVid outbreak in the building, but it is almost 2 hours round trip to go to that location. All they had to do was PAY ATTENTION to the three times I went over the new address with them, and I wouldn't have had to be inconvenienced yet again. DONE! Do yourself a favor and find yourself another (COMPETENT) compounding pharmacy. read more

Been getting my LDN prescription compounded there for 9 months. Never taken more than five days to get it (I am in CA). Love that they have an automated refill line since I usually remember to reorder Sunday night at 10 pm. Kind of a drag that Colorado has a new law that does not allow tele-medicine prescriptions to be shipped out of state, but I was able to get a different face-to-face doc to prescribe which solved the problem.
