New-ish little family deli in Belmont with loads of sammiches to choose from. I believe they've been open over a year now and I've finally gave them a try. Super fresh and filling, nice sized Nonna's Special meatball sandwich. The pesto garlic spread is very good and nice addition to the sauce. You will ward off any vampires after eating this sammich. The meatballs are soft, well made. In ordered it as it's made. Variety of entree salads and side salads like potato salad, which I ordered. Fresh and tasty! They also have homemade macaroni and pesto pasta salads, too. Lots of Dirty brand chips and drinks. They have catering options and have gorgeous charcuterie boards/trays creations. Came to Belmont deli on a day for a late lunch where I got off work a little early. Super nice place to sit down for lunch, especially if it's pretty empty. I got a California Love on dutch crunch. The bread was toasted and warm, and the spread was really well packed inside. I saw that they removed some of the bread to pack the sandwich in because it was huge. Ingredients were delicious! My only gripe is that the bread was toasted pretty hard and it was a bit tough to chew through the exterior. If you don't like a particularly crunchy sandwich get a different bread choice. Staff is really friendly and service is fast. They have a big fridge full of other sides that I will try another time! read more

I got the vegan dream sandwich for a delivered work lunch and I was very very impressed. Unfortunately they don't offer any vegan protein so the only vegan sandwich option is just a bunch of veggies, but it way exceeded my expectations. Really nice flavor combination of mustard with their house made pesto, and the sandwich was generously filled with avocado, roasted red pepper, red onion, lettuce, pickles, and banana pepper (I removed tomato and cucumber). All the ingredients tasted extremely fresh. Next time I would probably get it on a roll instead of sliced bread since it got pretty messy. Would definitely love if they started offering a vegan protein like tofurky or mock chicken. read more

I'm so glad Belmont has a mom and pop sandwich place like this. The people there were a father and son (I think) and they were so nice and professional to every customer that walked in. The sandwich was very tasty and the ingredients tasted very fresh. The cookie was a good way to wrap up the whole meal. The interior gives a pretty average deli vibe. It was extremely clean though. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in Belmont. read more

I originally ordered online the day before but apparently did not press that last button. My fault. Walked in the next day and discovered my mistake. The guys were so understanding and kind. They put together the 10 sandwich order calmly and carefully. Labeled every item. I bought Mac and potato salads as well as chips! Delish! Every person at our childcare center was delighted! Very good deli - one of my top five favorites in the area. This is a place you can sit and eat; they have tables. Sandwiches are what matter most, and this place delivers. It can be a little slow, but you can always call ahead to avoid waiting. I went for work with some clients and we ordered the Soprano, Buffalo, and CA Love. All three were excellent sandwiches. Super underrated sandwich spot, one of the best in the area. This place is seriously underrated. Went for lunch and got the two highest-rated items on the menu: California Love (mesquite smoked turkey, bacon, and avocado with the works) and Soprano (hot capocollo, Genoa salami, mortadella with pistachios, and balsamic glaze with the works). These are BIG sandwiches. And they're juicyyy. I like a wet sandwich and this delivered perfectly. The bread holds up, the ingredients are quality, and everything just works together well. These guys are amazing. I chanced upon them while in the neighborhood getting my hair cut. Loved the owner and could tell he was experienced - turns out he and his family run another sandwich shop in the city. Great sandwich. But that's not all! I joined their rewards program and happened to receive a holiday text offering catering and charcuterie. What great luck because I needed a large charcuterie board for Thanksgiving. I've recently been craving sandwiches after a long hiatus from them and Belmont Deli conveniently offers a large selection in a location very close to my job. I've only ever ordered the muffaleta here, but that's because of its abundance of size and high quality ingredients that I can't un-fixate from. As in original as it sounds, I always opt for it with Dutch crunch bread too. The added texture puts the muffaleta ingredients on a whole other level. I've also gotten the baklava here as well and was pleasantly surprised at its balance of pistachio flavor while having a hint of sweetness. You can order at the counter here but I highly recommend placing the order online if you're ever in a rush as the amount of staff here can fall behind if the lunch rush comes. All in all this is one of the best sandwich places in the area for a proper deli sandwich that doesn't skimp on the portions. read more

This sandwich shop is so good- I mean TOO good. It's actually ruining my life. My husband and I just found it last week and we've had it three times since, specifically the peppermill sandwich. We wanted it last Sunday and they were closed and were forced to get sandwiches elsewhere and this sandwich has ruined all other sandwiches for both of us. After heariung so much about it, we came here after my haircut last week. I love the smell of meats & fresh bread that greets you upon entering. The owner is very friendly & the food is excellent. My Italian with capicola, mortadelat, & other meats was perfect with fresh meats, cheeese, onions, pickles etc. on a dutch crunch bun. My mother & our friend enjoyed their smoked pork on the same roll. Of course, you have a wide selection of sandwiches & bread & rolls to choose from. Round it off with an Oly Pop Root Beer or Raspberry Rose & you will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back to try more. My husband ordered the California Love on Sourdough Roll, I ordered the Tuna salad on toasted sour dough slice. I added melted American cheese, pickles & onions. He made the tuna right there fresh. It was filled the bread and then some. We used to go the Lorenzo's but the lines were ridiculous, nothing easy about calling in an order. Since Covid ordering outside waiting is a long inconvenience. Went in today and ordered a buffalo chicken sandwhich with all the works on wholewheat bread. One of the two nice guys there suggested I might be happier with the wholewheat roll. I took his advice. Sandwich is/was delicious. Glad I followed the guys advice, thank you. Prices are competitive and the sandwich I had was great and I will definitely return soon. I do wish they gave more bread though. We had a lot more brie and roasted garlic leftover with no bread to scoop it up. Belmont Deli truly exceeded my expectations. I ordered sandwiches and a charcuterie board for a corporate event, and everything was absolutely perfect. Loved this new deli in my neighborhood! Very friendly new owners, extremely clean and very cute indoor seating with a fun ambiance. The sandwiches are so fresh and delicious with a generous portion. We got a turkey avocado and hot pastrami with everything on it and their homemade garlic pesto spread was amazing! Lots of chips and drinks options as well. I'm not buying a bread sandwich. The bread's job is really to frame and support the other ingredients and not dominate the experience. In the Cubano, the bread did bookend and support the ingredients, but there was simply too much of it compared to the important ingredients like the proteins. The crumb was thick and overwhelming, so each bite started with a mouthful of bread rather than a mix of the flavors. That was especially disappointing because the meats were clearly a step above what you find at most sandwich shops. The ham was carved directly from the bone which deserves recognition. Tasted alone, it had great flavor and was a quality product. The pickles were green and snapped with freshness. But these ingredients got lost behind the excess bread.
