Belmont dental in Belmont NJ is the worst. They are being sued for medical malpractice and under review by the dentistry board. you know, I was hesitant on coming back after some time ( based on all the recent reviews and some of my gut instincts ) to get a cap fixed that the guy did for me a couple of years ago. nonetheless, I didnt think it was bad work, but I did take note at how money hungry they were so boom make an appt They take some x-rays. He sees me and pops the cap off and then he has the audacity to tell me he'll give me a discount for $1400 and that he would have done it for free no problem but I hadn't been in for a checkup in some time. Mind you I've already had to come in to have it worked on about a year or two in. I remind him that when I first initially came, I was told any work I had would be covered by warranty, I simply laugh in his face and tell him no thank you that guy fakes like he's a nice guy and is willing to help and smiles in your face when you first get there, but I know energy deep down. You can tell he's a money hungry scamming piece of shit he's no dentist of the people he's a dentist of robbery and fraud. Do not go here. I have never been scared of going to the dentist. A procedure that should've been routine turned in to a three hour ordeal due to them not having the proper tools to do the job. I have no idea why they even started knowing that they did not have the proper tools needed. This is by far the worst experience that I have ever had. I initially came here back in 2015 to check out a minor issue I was having with one of my molars. There was a slight odor (no pain/inflammation at all) so I thought maybe a cavity was coming on. After the techs did xrays, Dr. Lembo came in to let me know the nerve endings in my bottom back molar are completely dead and it needs to be removed right away or else my tooth would starting rotting or an infection would spread. His office manager, Leslie, then came in to go over the financial part. She said it would cost $1300 for the root canal and crown. I hesitated because that's a lot of money to come up with suddenly and I told her I would like to think about it. I kid you not, I felt like I was trapped by Leslie in this room and they were coming up with nonstop excuses to get me into signing care credit paperwork right at that moment. She kept repeating that I needed to get this done right away or my issue will get a lot worse if I left the office. The thing is, there was no emergency at that point. I had absolutely no pain or discomfort, just a slight odor. I became so anxious and worried because of their antics that I ended up taking out a care credit loan that same day. I really wish I was not so naive back then. He began my root canal that same day and I would have to come back another day to do the crown. That night, I was in EXCRUCIATING pain from his work. My head felt like it was about to explode so I called his emergency line and he told me to take more Motrin. My next appointment came and he finished the crown. Within a period of 5-6 months after that last appointment , my crown fell off several times and I had to repeatedly go back for him to bond it on. The last time he bonded it, he claims he used something "stronger" this time to hold it in place which it did but why not use the stronger bonding agent in the first place? Dr. lembo left a terrible gap in between my new tooth and my other real tooth. Whenever I eat a huge chunk of food gets wedged into this gap and it's painful. I got two other opinions from dentists and they both said they've never seen such a wide gap from a root canal and that I would need to get another root canal done to fix the gap issue. Most dentists send their molds out to labs that do the crown but Dr. Lembo his own machine in office that makes the crown which is pretty cool but it seems like he's now learning the process of it and I was one of the first few "guinea pigs" per say. I've came to this office for a period of 3 years for cleanings and that part went fine with the dental hygienist. I also asked to put sealants over the deep grooves of my molars so debris doesn't sit in there after eating, paid a couple hundred for that and within 3 months the seal started to crumble off and now they're completely gone. My entire point of sharing my experience on here is to make people aware and to always keep an eye out when visiting new dentists/doctors. I deeply feel that I was forced to get an unnecessary root canal with Dr. Lembo and he does not even know how to do it professionally. read more

Between receiving a crown that broke with weeks (and them refusing to give me another one at a discounted rate) to looking around as I was getting "prepared" for my treatment, I turn around and see Dr. Lembo on Facebook, messaging people and liking people's statuses! read more

Horrible, went almost 5 years ago to Dr. Lembo for a root canal that he had to go into 3 times! It was very painful and exhausting. The tooth never felt right, finally I had had enough and my new wonderful dentist told me I had a very bad infection in my gums and sent me to a specialist. Well the specialist when he looked at the many xrays he was amazed by what he saw...not one but two metal pieces of a dental tool broken off into where my root was!!!! he was able to remove one of them but the 2nd one is still in there and we are deciding whether or not to have surgery done to remove it or to just leave it! I also just learned that you should never ever let a regular dentist do a root canal, go to a specialist. im disgusted that now I am the one who has to come out of pocket to fix this issue. it is disturbing to know that this man broke 2 metal tools in my tooth and covered it up like it never happened!!! avoid at all costs!! between my brother and myself we contributed to buying his beautiful boat while having shotty dental work done!!! read more

We have been patients for many years along with our children. The staff is friendly and so is he however we recently had financial woes and he refuse to treat my sons tooth infection because I couldn't make a payment plan and pay 2k. He refused to let us pay as he did the work. He wished us luck with finding a new dentist and sent us home while my son had toothache and two infections. Thank God my pediatrician gave us antibiotics until we found a new dentist. I will never step back in that office or give him referrals. read more

The worst dentist you can go to! He needlessly opened up one of my teeth for a root canal, charged me a great deal and wouldn't give me my money back when I refused to go back to let him finish the root canals which eventually were completed by another dentist! I am not saying root canals are or should be cheap but when you don't finish the job why do you still charge me the full price of a root canal just for drilling my teeth? The one tooth shouldn't have been drilled at all it didn't need a root canal but I had no choice in the aftermath!! I would never ever recommend this dentist. All the work I ever got done there failed. The three crowns broke off in my mouth. The root canal he did twice had to be done a third time at another dentist at more expense. Dr Dominick is a nice guy but his work is just not up to par. I didn't realize this until my problems occurred and then I researched him and found many others with the similar complaints. Now I'm paying to have all the work re-done at another dentist. read more
