The store seems small but a lot…read moreis crammed in, including some really kitschy cool decor (many discreet 'not for sale' signs to be noted) as well as a lot of items featuring cats that resemble Winnie, the shop cat. There also is a second floor which may be dedicated to a children's area; not positive as I didn't go up there. I am always on the lookout for old books as in 70-plus years, but not a whole lot in that department here as far as sorted items. There was a big stack of aged books but not catalogued. Believe me, I would have gladly pulled up a stool and reviewed the entire stack but as is often the case, the impatient husband was waiting in the car so I couldn't prolong my visit. I did grab a great sci-fi classic by Isaac Asimov; the book is pretty beat up but one dollar! Also spotted a tote bag featuring cats and books so that went home with me for sure. There are places to sit if you want to chill and read for a while. The lady behind the counter indicated that I could contact them for any old books I am searching for. Happy that they have Sunday hours and looking forward to a future visit.

It's set up in a very friendly flow and my daughter and I sat and read a few children's books while we browsed. The staff working there were so friendly and welcoming. They have flyers for a lot of events like book clubs and youga that I definitely want to check out. Their misson of helping to get books to kids in need is also admirable. Just today, I told them I was finished looking and thanked them. Completely ignored. I said "okay" and walked away. The ladies behind the counter began to laugh. The books are used, but there are some in very good condition. The most expensive I saw was $7, the least 50 cents. They also have DVDs and small boxes of vinyl and sheet music. Book Blvd will give you store credit for used books, which is why I went there. I had a box of 15 or so old, outdated cookbooks. I got $6.50 in store credit. Not a lot, but you can make it go far with such cheap prices. Check these guys out for your next book purchase.
