A bookstore with a resident cat! I could not resist stopping in. The store seems small but a lot is crammed in, including some really kitschy cool decor (many discreet 'not for sale' signs to be noted) as well as a lot of items featuring cats that resemble Winnie, the shop cat. There also is a second floor which may be dedicated to a children's area; not positive as I didn't go up there. I am always on the lookout for old books as in 70-plus years, but not a whole lot in that department here as far as sorted items. There was a big stack of aged books but not catalogued. Believe me, I would have gladly pulled up a stool and reviewed the entire stack but as is often the case, the impatient husband was waiting in the car so I couldn't prolong my visit. I did grab a great sci-fi classic by Isaac Asimov; the book is pretty beat up but one dollar! Also spotted a tote bag featuring cats and books so that went home with me for sure. There are places to sit if you want to chill and read for a while. The lady behind the counter indicated that I could contact them for any old books I am searching for. Happy that they have Sunday hours and looking forward to a future visit. read more

A gem of a local bookstore. Staff have always been kind. Decent selection of used books. Hosts MANY fun events. Worth checking out. P.S. located right next to an Italian restaurant and Whitt's custard shop 10/10 date night. read more

Cute store front decent parking however the inside is a disaster. Know what your looking for or want to browse by genre? This store is not the place for you. It's mismatched and thrown together and I'm not talking in a cute get away reading kinda vibe. Trash is everywhere on the shelves and even though they have sections of the store there is no method to the madness. Books on the floor and it's impossible to find a particular author. Looking for a relaxing place to browse? This is not your place either. The volume inside was a 20 on a scale of 1-10. After you pass the screeching hyenas in the front you assaulted by an overhead speaker system that would drown out a rave party. Do you love the smell of books? There is just something about the vibe of physical books that can relax your senses, however you won't find it here the smell of cat dander is overwhelming. Enjoy finding a book that the cover just seems to call to you? Perfect they might have one of those however you'll be forced to buy two others with it in a bundle cause they have to find a way to get rid of two that are horrible reads. I'm all for supporting local places but I'm not for paying B&N prices. $30 is just unbelievable for a used book. If you love quaint bookstores this is not the place, but if you enjoy overstimulation to the point it drives a sane person to form a tic this may be the perfect place to drive you over the edge. read more

Very cozy and welcoming local bookstore. They posted a fun event on Facebook where you can come and make these flowers/crafts out of old books. They have a huge event area upstairs. The owner provided all the supplies + a charcuterie board and fun music. The event was so much fun and it was a nice way to get your friends together and try something new. Mulberry Street Books is Lebanon's only hope. Bookstores across America are disappearing or being turned into toy-stores and novelty shops with more than half the merchandise not even being books. MSB has an incredible array of genres to choose from. When I want to add a new book to my collection MSB is always ready with an intriguing new title for me to get completely immersed in. Turn off your TV, put down your phone and pick up a book at MSB, you won't be disappointed. read more

I just love local bookstores. This one was fun, although small. I loved that they have post it notes and pens around so you can leave notes! That's a great touch. The ambiance was superb. I will visit next time I'm in town. read more

The store is easy to maneuver, there's ample parking all around, and is in a beautiful location in the heart of Lebanon. Prices are industry standard, no upselling, no gimmicks. Nowadays I don't find myself traveling out of my way and stopping through Lebanon, if that's any indication of how much I prefer this book shopping experience to the mall. read more

This owner is very lazy or disorganized. I am an author and was booked for a book signing. When I arrived she remarked that the poor weather might prevent anyone from coming (it was slightly windy). When I enquired about my book she replied that she had not had the budget to order any. OK, I had a backup supply. But I eventually realized there was no signage about my visit and nothing had been posted to Facebook-- though she posts often. The only person who came was a friend of mine I had notified. Had the shop owner made any effort she would have sold books that day, because the topic I wrote about is very popular, especially in Lebanon. My visit was a total disappointment-- not sure how she stays in business. read more
