They have extra staff around, so sometimes another person will come and help apply the colour, which really makes everything go a lot faster. I made a mistake and "cheated" on Liz recently by going to a hair salon close to my home, for convenience. Boy.... not a good decision!!! I contacted Medulla to fix the botched job and Liz fixed me up. And didn't judge me at all for straying!!! Will never go to another place for colour. Medulla is just top notch. They are expensive, but completely worth it. Edited to add: the noise volume in the salon is very low; they play music that is not abrasive, and they play it at a low volume. I don't enjoy salons with super loud, abrasive music that you have to shout over (I'm old lol). I'm generally tired, so I really appreciate the chill vibes here as well.

Holly recommended that instead of colouring my roots she would do the balyage in such a way that the greys would be almost camouflaged and I would not need to touch up roots as often. This has totally worked so far. I go back for a gloss (toner) every 6-8 weeks just to refresh the tone of the hair but other than that my greys are there but less visible. The balyage is very natural looking which is what I was going for. And my hair does not feel like it has been over processed afterwards. I highly recommend this place, they definitely know what they are doing when it comes to colouring dark hair. The only complaint I have is that when you have people sitting there for over 3 hours for a balyage, maybe offer them a drink more often than once, or even a small snack. It would help a lot. Also maybe some charging stations for peoples phones. Most people bring their own, but once I forgot it. Just the small things to make the time go by would be a nice touch.

She is so detailed with her work; it's absolute magic the art she creates with your face. I am always in awe with what she can do with a makeup brush. The nice thing is that she very much collaborates with you, making sure that you are happy with the results and that you are being true to the vision you want for whatever event or occasion you are getting dolled up for. Amazing I love how my hair came out, i haven't coloured my hair in over 3 years so I was super nervous. I have had 2 so far with her throughout my process to hair recovery. Her memory is phenomenal and when you are in her chair you are her priority. She has provided me with so many hair tips for curly hair because although she may look like she has straight hair she apparently has curly hair so she can relate and fill me in on the things I need to know. Apart from that shes always smiling has an lovely nature is incredibly efficient with her time. What takes her 45 min to wash cut and style has taken my previous stylist 2h. Thank you!

The hair dye was darker than I wanted but it does look good. I give them props for evening out my roots. The hair cut was cut in the most bizarre way my hair had ever been cut. I asked for long layers and have very short layers onto my ears. My hair is thick and was very long. I have three very choppy short layers and it does not flatter my wavy hair type. I'm really upset because I now have to grow it out and I told her I wanted long layers that were not short. 2) The reviews said they make a delicious cappuccino and I have to agree. It was delightful. They had dairy free milk and I really enjoyed the beverage. 3) The salon looks nice inside and the employees were very friendly. Would I Return? It's very unlikely. I can get a better cut and dye where I used to go for much less than I paid here.
