I really want to give it a 2 stars but the dentist lady was awesome. Helped me understanding the services and helped expand everything that needed to be done. Then that billing lady came in. Was very, very rude. She told me. You need an authorization for the work that needed to be done. I'm like ok do you call or I have to call. She like we can't do anything until you get am authorization you can go now and and took the Bib of me and do you can go. Oh my.. im like that's it. Just go she like yes. So what do I suppose to do I have a broken tooth. I have a secondary insurance that she don't even know. She only see tricare. She stated we have to get paid and we are not doing work without payment. First off my INSURANCE COMPANY scheduled this appointment for me. I said how long does an authorization take. She said it takes 3 to 4 weeks to come back. It will take about 4 to 5 days to request it because she is busy. She said I've seen these things and it takes forever to come back. We will call you if it does. Oh my. I have enough money to pay for it my dang pocket. I called the insurance company and nothing was sent to them. I drive right up to my main doctor office and got a referral to another office down the street and they started the work right there. I've been a long time member for over a decade. I even received invisalign paid out of my pocket 5k..I will not come back to this office. As long as that biking lady is there wth her rude self. Do not let the precharge your card!!!! visited the Dentistery on 2/11. They Quoted me $5841 after insurance. They also charged my care credit card in full. I then received a second openion on the 12th. The price was lets say alot less. I canceled the opointment with Modern Dentistery on the 12th. On the 21st I still did not receive a refund on my card. I went in to ask about it and they said it was just approved and in process... On the 27th I still had not received a refund. I once again went in to ask about it. They said they were mailing me a check... (I contacted Care Credit). I received the Check on 3/5 pm.. I was actually on my way to deposit the check when I received a call from Modern Dentistery telliong me that they had voided the check due to my filing a complaint. I would need to wait for them to credit my account. Remenber this is the second time they have told me they were crediting my account. So I am $5841 in debt waiting for them to refund me for services they charged that were not preformed. read more

Hello, I just want to give everyone a heads up. If you are looking for a dentist DO NOT use Belton Modern Dentistry, Dr. Holmes and Dr. Rogers have no business practicing! I went in to establish care and a routine cleaning. Dr. Rogers said I needed 2 root canals on my front teeth (It took over 9 hours) They did the root canals and crowns- quoted me over $2500.00 after my insurance paid $1400.00. Nothing seemed right- They kept falling out. I was in so much pain. After a week one of these teeth broke off my gum line. I went back and they told me they think I need another root canal on the SAME 2 teeth. He broke a bit off and sealed it in my gums. I went to another dentist because this just felt wrong and boy was I right. These people did an unnecessary procedure which left me missing my two front teeth. I have had 3 root canals on the same teeth. They refuse to refund me my money unless I sign this form saying I won't sue them. They went in and deleted all of my billing from the smile generations website. This wasn't just a bad experience, this should never happen to ANYONE. Before walking in this place, I did not have bad teeth. They ruined my smile! Please be careful. Modern Dentistry is already in a class action law suite for the "fees" they inflict on their patients. This place wanted me to sign a "Non-Disclosure" all to get my money back. They never preformed the work- The work they did do caused physical and emotional harm. I knew that there was a gap between the filling and my tooth and that it would cause issues. 2 years later, tonight, I was flossing my teeth (there has been some pain in that tooth) and the filling FLUNG out. I scheduled an appointment for my wife a few weeks ago and asked specifically for a female dentist because she is more comfortable with a female. I had to reschedule for a week later. We arrived at her appointment and waited just a few minutes and the assistant came to get us. We both washed our hands and waited to get started. A few minutes later Dr John Holmes came in the exam room and I knew something went wrong with the scheduling. My wife asked if there was a female available and he said yes there was a female and he would be right back. He returned with Dr. Rita Garabet who is new to the office but went out of her way to make the experience as comfortable as possible for my wife. She was very personal and remained professional in a stressful situation. Overall it was a great experience for a dentist appointment and I won't hesitate to go back! She even texted my wife the next day to ask if everything is ok. I don't know if was really Dr. Garabet or just an automatic text but it was still nice to know they were thinking of her. So if they say Dr. Garabet is available don't hesitate she will take good care of you! read more

My two daughters and myself had our first routine visit. Very happy with the entire process. Friendly, knowledgeable, clean and comfortable. The technology they use is state of the art. I'm glad that our insurance changed and we found Belton Modern Dentistry as a result. Will definitely continue our dental care and recommend them to friends and family. The staff, hygienist, and dentist at Belton Modern Dentistry have all made my experience with them a very positive one! They have gone through an ownership change in the past couple years and I don't believe the other reviews here represent the practice as it is today. I have a fear of the dentist and haven't been in a while because of it. I told them this and the stress I have about my dental issues and they've been very understand. It was affordable, the staff is super friendly, dentist and hygienist both very gentle and accommodating! I am on the fence about this office. We just moved to the area and needed a new dental office. I scheduled my youngest and husband online and it was the simplest process. Kudos for that. They got in right away. My husband felt they were very thorough, more so than any other office. I was happy to take our daughter the following week. In the mean time I called to book myself to see someone regarding TMJ. I made sure they understood that is what I needed because I was in a lot of pain. I arrived and they had me as a new patient cleaning and I was told after waiting for the dentist that they do nothing for TMJ. Misunderstandings happen though so I am willing to keep going but it was quite a process to get in to just have to go someplace else. Now back to my youngest. She is four and although I would never say they are a pediatric office they were great with her. The hygienist wasn't very experienced with kids, at least she didn't seem to be but she did her best. Dr Lee was great at explaining everything and very gentle. They give them a bag with toothpaste, a toothbrush and floss then they get to pick from the treasure box. read more

"IF YOU USE A WHEELCHAIR, DON'T BOTHER" Took my mother here on 2/12/21 for oral surgery. 1st offense: while standing at check in counter w/my mother next to me in a wheelchair a woman said to ME "Can mom walk at all?" My mom responded with "You can talk to me." My mother has no problem communicating. She does use a wheelchair due to bad arthritis and neuropathy. My mom answered the lady "Not well, not w/out help & not very far." The lady proceeded to tell us that mom needed to be able to walk down the entire hallway to show them that she would be able to take a few steps to a wheelchair after surgery & anesthesia. I wanted to instantly say NO as it would not only be hard on my mom but it was a ridiculous requirement to gauge such a thing. But my mom being to proud and somewhat embarrassed plus knowing I had driven 45 minutes just to get there said "Yes"to walking down the long hallway as long as I could help her and that she could also use the wall for help. The lady agreed to this. So we walked down the hallway, mom having to stop 3 times to catch her breath as she also suffers from lung cancer. Which they were also aware of as it is in her chart. If they did not look to know this, that is just one more reason not to go there. My mom eventually made it to the surgery room. Out of breath, in pain & exhausted. RIDICULOUS POLICY! I do have to say the oral surgeon Dr.Billy Turley & his assistant/nurse "Misty" were wonderful. Dr.Turley was extremely thorough going over my mom's history & medication to insure she was okay to go under anesthesia. I would recommend him to anyone. Luckily you do not have to go to this location to see him. He & Misty work out of different offices all over the metro area different days of the week(although very easy to get a hold of after surgery.) **In closing I guess I would just say as I did in the beginning ...find a different office if you use a wheelchair. BUYER BEWARE: The latest hustle is DENTISTRY. This place is no different. Was a first time customer, when I scheduled my appointment I specifically inquired whether I could expect to get an actual cleaning that day. I was assured I could so I proceeded to make the appointment. Once there and after talking to the dentist it was apparent that she had all intent purpose on insisting that I have a "deep cleaning" to include numbing my mouth and taking longer than I anticipated. When I left their office I had somewhere else to go and didn't expect to leave a cleaning with a numb mouth. I'm no professional, but I did not need a deep cleaning that day. I declined that service but asked for the regular cleaning I was told I'd get and she refused to authorize it and instead only authorized a polish and dental floss. I did not get what I expected or came for she told me to come back and she'd do it later. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE THEY ARE NOT ETHICAL! I didn't get my cleaning, they are full pressure people and it was a terrible experience and was a waste of time. read more

They got me in the chair the same day, and the wonderful Dr.Beast, I mean Dr. Gaynor executed the procedure without any incident, professionally and expeditiously, and just like that, My smile was back.I call them The Beauty and the Beast. Kept us waiting 40 minutes past our appointment time...apparently they are short-staffed, but it would have been nice to know that when I checked in so I could decide whether to reschedule or wait. Also, I always schedule my kids' appointments to occur at the same time but this time they put them in with one appointment after the other without telling me, which added more unexpected time to our visit in addition to the wait. We've been coming here for a little over 4 years, and I have stuck with them despite the high turnover of dentists, hygienists and office staff. This mat be the final straw. read more

I live in Belton and have lived here most my life. I was approached at a gathering last night by a woman promoting Belton Modern Dentistry. She had given me a packet with a toothbrush in it and was very welcoming in her appearance and had an honest smile. She answered many of my questions and put most of my fears and concerns to rest buy taking the time to explain to me just how easy my future dental care could be. She invited me to drop by the office for a tour and to meet the staff stating "come by anytime you'd like, I'd love to show you around". I did just that this afternoon. I was met at the front desk by this very woman. She was again, very welcoming and greeted me with a warm smile and welcome. All I could do was take a business card and leave as in the background I heard a rather uncomfortable scolding taking place. It sounded to me like an employee was being reprimanded by someone. (Either a manager or the doctor, female at that) yet Whoever it was, it was not something I could tolerate if I were that employee. Nor could I stand to see or hear it firsthand. And figuring that a tour at that moment in time would not have been positive experience I chose to leave. This was not the first visit I've paid to the this place. I've attempted to walk in and make an appointment twice in the past but was turned away and told I could be seen at one of their other offices because the doctor was out or had gone home for the day. Looking at the door, it clearly displayed business hours that I was within an hour to an hour half of those hours. I'm very much not impressed with what I've seen thus far and will be taking my dental needs elsewhere. I suggest doing your research before making an appointment here. You're just a number. Terrible, terrible office. Literally every time I've set foot in the door I had some sort of issue where the complete service couldn't be done. What's worse, is a previous doctor mishandled an onlay that was done on a tooth, and they have the audacity to cut my appointments short or forget them entirely due to having to work til 545. They emphasized how much they wanted to keep my business once they realized the poor work done on the tooth, but when it came to actually giving them my business they wanted nothing to do with it. I will never go back to this office again. read more

I get the feeling their business plan includes hiring staff with "bubbly" personalities. They seem to be overstaffed, with usually a couple of people wondering around behind the desk with apparently little to do. This will be reflected in your bill. I also get the impression they "over-serve" you with procedures beyond what is required. Be sure they don't hit you up for procedure code D1330 which is a fancy way of saying they have instructed you on how to brush your teeth with a charge of $60. Plus, they duplicate billed my insurance company. Fortunately they caught it and would not pay them a second time. I will simply use the old Ronald Reagan saying about Russia, made famous during the cold war...."Trust but verify" your billing and what service they actually performed on you. Peace! read more

I went to Belton Modern Dentistry soon after they opened. I went there for a checkup, and I was really nervous because they were a newer business. The checkup went very well, and the Dental assistant (jennifer) was very kind. I later went back for a root canal, and it was the WORST dental experience I have EVER had! I was really nervous going in because it was my first root canal but the Dr. assured me that he was more than capable of doing the procedure. During the root canal I felt Dr. Boyce jerking around in my mouth a lot, but what was bothering me more than that was a terrible taste in my mouth and a burning in my throat. Dr. Boyce then stopped the procedure because he said that he got a piece of the drill bit stuck in my tooth and he had to take a picture so he knew where to go to get it out. I then told the dental assistant (not Jennifer, a younger girl) that I tasted bleach and it was burning my throat, she told me that they did not use bleach and they continued with the procedure. The burning got worse, and a long time later Dr. Boyce told me that he was not able to get the drill bit out and I would have to do the whole procedure again with a specialist. I left the office with my throat scorching and a disgusting taste in my mouth, I had never had a root canal before but I knew this could not be normal. I asked my husband (who had a root canal before) if this was normal and he had no idea what I was talking about. I needed to eat or drink something to get the taste out but my throat hurt so bad that I could not. The next morning I woke up and I had disgusting blisters all over the back of my mouth. I went back to the dental office and Dr. Boyce told me that the chemical they use to clean out the root has a little bleach in it and that I was having a "hyper reaction" to the bleach. They told me that the dental block that they use to keep the chemical from getting to the throat had a hole in it and the chemical got to my throat (then they should have stopped when I told them and fixed it). They apologized and sent me on my way. The rest of the week I spent going to the Doctor office, and throwing up, I had a fever of 102- 103, and I spent the whole week in bed because I felt like I was having a TERRIBLE hangover, and could not walk without getting dizzy, and to top it all off I lost 10 pounds in the week because I could NOT eat or drink anything (I sipped water, and attempted to eat apple sauce and chicken broth). They told me that I was having a hyper reaction but the Doctor (at the hospital)said that this was all normal symptoms for if someone were to drink bleach, the root canal specialist told me that the chemical was made to eat the tissue around your tooth, and thats what it did to the back of my throat. The specialist also told me that if I were pregnant, a small child, or an elderly person, this experience could have been life threatening. To top the whole experience off the drill bit got so jammed into my tooth that the specialist could not get it out and he told me that in the future it will rust and I will have to get a root canal again (which at that point, I am getting it pulled). I obviously did not go back to Belton Modern Dentistry but earlier this month we got a call from them telling us that they have been trying to send a bill from my procedures for the last 90 days, and that it was getting set back to them. My husband went in, with no intention of paying anything for what they did to me but they threatened to sent him to collections if he did not pay, so he did. The VERY NEXT DAY, we received a reminder for a check up, from Belton Modern Dentistry, so they obviously had out correct address. I will NEVER, EVER recommend Belton Modern Dentistry to anyone because, not only was it a terrible experience, but they were unapologetic and did not take credit for what they did. A year ago I spent several thousand of dollars to have crowns replaced and other dental procedures done...since that time I've scheduled 3 appt. every six month for cleaning and check up with them and no lie on my part here...they have had to reschedule me every time and this last time they called and I rescheduled for them, now today they call and want to reschedule me again...with my work schedule it is hard for me to continually reschedule!!! I believe that this is very unprofessional of a dentist office and I am furious to the max with them!! The response they give me is, they call set up an appt. for another day and that's the best that that can do!!!..I think that this dentist practice can go jump off a bridge!!!! I am not sure my experience could have been any worse than it was at this dental office. I came in after getting a thing in the mail that said cleaning and x rays were fairly inexpensive. $60 I believe. Then they told me I needed to pay a lot more money. I saw a dentist just a few months ago and nothing they were saying I needed done right away were things they the other man told me. I explained to them what I wanted done and they kept making me feel that I had to do this big list of things in the order they wanted. I felt like all they were seeing was dollar signs and not what I was comfortable with. The dentist here is a lady and she is really rude and came across as arrogant to both me and my wife who was with me. We sat there waiting to be seen over 45 mins past our appointment time.
