It was a rip-off. The shipping charge was more than the one item I needed I could have paid for another item with the charge. They could have a graded scale that is respective of the size and weight. If they have to "eat it" then so be it. I thought it was about the customer and not how much they can get from the customer. Hopefully I will never have to buy from them again. read more

I placed an order for 2 crocheted purses that I needed for an event in a week. One in blue, one in pink -- to match two outfits. To be on the safe side, I ordered them with expedited shipping to be sure they arrived in time for the event. The purses arrived within 4 days of my order (given that I placed the order on the weekend), except one of them had a clear defect of a string (part of the crocheted strap) that was either glued or burned on the end and sticking out of the strap. I contacted BeltOutlet by email the same evening with a picture of the defect and explained the issue. Their "auto response" email said that it may take 24-48 hours to address my email. It didn't take that long and the following day I received an email telling me that my account would be credited. No one there, apparently, considered that *maybe* a customer who has paid expedited shipping (which cost as much as one of the purses) might *need* that item and might it be worth a call to the customer?? I called them last night and had to leave a voicemail (since their offices were already closed) to say I'd rather have the item than a credit, and I'd be happy to return their defective product. No response to my voicemail, so I called again this morning and spoke to their customer service "manager", who said as they would not have been able to send me a replacement, they credited me. She hid behind the "24-48 hour auto response" to avoid answering why no one was smart enough to consider "why would a customer pay for expedited shipping?" Or reach out to the customer by phone, instead of response email - wasting over a day when they could possibly have shipped a replacement. She also stated that their "shipping department closes early," so they couldn't have processed a replacement shipment. Stupid answer if you're not just addressing an order but actually trying to keep a customer who's already received a defective item. *Maybe* replacements should be processed more expeditiously (hey, BeltOutlet, in case you're reading this that means "with speed and efficiency"). After all, how many orders could they possibly have to ship if they can close early. Needless to say this was my first and final experience with Belt Outlet. Would not recommend them at all. Neither the product nor their service is worth the price. I should have read the other Yelp reviews before ordering. Possibly they should focus on quality and customer service; or maybe just quality and then they wouldn't also spotlight their poor customer service. read more

I ordered a small size hat from this place and was told that they only made medium & large and would let me know if & when a small was available. A month or so later they emailed me that I could now order a small size hat, so I ordered one. The hat that was delivered was labeled small but it was in fact large & mislabeled at the factory. Belt Outlet informed me that they would send me a return label to send it back but they never did and I was stuck with the useless hat. Stay away from this place. read more

I ordered 2 stretch braided belts (identical to the one I already own, just different color) in size M 34-36. When they arrived it was obvious that they were mis-labeled & actually were closer to a size L 40+. I sent them back via Wal-Mart. Now I'm being charged a return shipping fee for their mis-labeled product. On-line customer chat choose to ignore my request for assistance & closed that chat conversation w?o any assistance.
