If I could leave zero stars, I would. The customer service was honestly 0/10 and the product was mediocre at best. You're genuinely better off ordering from 1-800 Blinds To Go and paying someone separately to install them. We were initially quoted $18k for 26 windows, then they "price matched" another quote down to $15.5k -- only for 21 out of 26 windows to be measured incorrectly and need to be reordered. The most frustrating part is the complete lack of accountability afterward. The company acts like the issue is out of their hands instead of taking ownership for their mistakes. James, specifically, made multiple promises that were never kept. He measured the windows himself and said we didn't need another appointment for a remeasure; we were told for the loan it would be 12 months interest-free, just for the partner bank to switch the interest rate in the contract, and of course "that is out of their hands." After the $8k down payment was received, their "family-oriented" customer care completely disappeared. On top of that, we were offered $1,000 off as a resolution... which honestly felt insulting considering the scale of the mistake and the inconvenience caused during our move into a new home. For the amount of money spent, I've genuinely received better customer service and problem resolution at a Chick-fil-A. Overall, this was an incredibly disappointing and stressful experience during what should have been an exciting time moving into our new house. read more

Remote Controlled blinds for windows and doors. Had a good experience with sales rep., Sade'. Didn't like that they requested payment up front in full before starting the work, but they did work with us on payments. And although follow-up conversations slacked with timing regarding payments, ordering and installation date(s). We were happy with the precise measurements and professional expertise of installation by Jose' and Alex. Absolutely perfect installation! 7 to 9 of the blinds were installed less than two hours. Additional pieces were needed to hang the blinds, so not to interfere with the handles on windows and doors. Jose' and Alex also explained the installation work being done as-well-as instructions on charging the blinds and the different options of operating the blinds via remote control. After waiting nearly 6 weeks for blinds for 6 windows, the prettiest selection, a shear for the bathroom window did not fit for some reason. This after the salesperson took copious measurements while he was here. Four days after install and I still haven't heard from anyone in the company about what is wrong with the sizing, the problem, and when I'm going to receive my very expensive Blinds for the bathroom. I really hate reviews like this in a public forum and rely on the recommendations of friends and neighbors when hiring vendors (my first mistake in this situation). However, I feel compelled to prevent others from making the same mistake that I did. Please proceed with caution in hiring Beltway Blinds. The initial experience and consultation was positive, but it quickly or rather slowly devolved. It took four months to complete the installation correctly and I spent 20+ hours waiting at my home for technicians during the many and mishandled visits. While most the individuals I dealt with were pleasant and helpful, overall there is a huge issue with organization and communication. Each person "blaming" the challenges I was experiencing on the person prior to them and vowing they would correct things or even just call back, but each time I was left waiting and in disappointment. At one point, the customer service person called me then put me on hold for 10+ minutes to "figure out some things" and just never came back. Overall the experience was not worth the price tag and just plain not worth it. read more

They stated blinds would arrive in 3-6 weeks and after 7 weeks, they said there was an issue placing the order w the manufacturer. After placing a very expensive order for shutters, I changed my mind within the recision period. The written contract said I would have a refund within 10 business days. I kept in weekly contact with the company who seemed ignorant to the process of completing my refund. I finally received it on the 17th business day. Think hard before choosing them. Following up with an update to an earlier review. The company tried to resolve the issue of the missing blind, only to send another incorrect cut. The initial blind install was in February and still no blind cut correctly. Now, no one returns my calls. I am always told the person who can help me is on the phone, at lunch, or just left for the day. No one ever follows up with a call back. Post installation is horrible. If you use this company, make sure you have all of the blinds before they start installing. They do not care about you or respect the amount of money you invest to have their blinds installed. Terrible experience. We ordered sunshades, and one was defective. We have been trying since August to get it replaced. They claim they have the replacement. We have been trying to schedule instillation for months. Every time, the morning of installation they cancel. We have now heard just about every excuse. The installer is sick, he was in an accident, he was double booked, they are not installing this time of year, and today he has a toothache. Worst experience ever. Avoid them!!! read more

I had reached out to Beltway Blinds in August of 2024 to replace a window roller shade at one of our restaurants. The initial consultation was scheduled quickly and a quote was received in a very timely manner. After considering multiple quotes we went with Beltway Blinds as their quote had the lowest price and I liked the professionalism of the gentleman who came out for the consultation. The Roller Shade would have to be custom made with a 4-6 week delivery. The roller shade came in at the end of that time and the installation was scheduled promptly for the next week. That is where the service received started to decline. The initial installer came out in September with the custom blind and tried to install it at the wrong location. They removed a functioning Roller Shade and tried to install the custom Roller Shade designed for the window on the glass door to the left of the window where it was supposed to go. It didn't fit and the installer left with out checking out with a manager on duty, taking the functioning Roller Shade which was removed from the door and disposing of it. After discussing this with our project manager at Beltway Blinds they sent out a different installer with the new roller shade and tried to install it on the correct window, only it didn't fit properly. So now we had a window and a door without Roller Shades to block the setting sun making a portion of the dining room unusable during the hour or 2 before the sun set. After waiting several more weeks for the replacement Roller Shade it finally came in at the end of October and it was was set to be installed at the beginning of November. A different installer came out and couldn't install the Roller Shade again, though this time it wasn't the size but the case that contained the roller shade that was too large for the space it was being installed in. Once again we reached out to our project manager to find out what was going on. After a discussion they recommended removing the casing since the top of the shade wouldn't be visible. They sent out a different installer a week or 2 later, in Mid November and finally got the correct shade installed properly in the correct location. This entire process took more than 3 months, but we still had a door missing a roller shade. They began the fabrication of that roller shade which I thought was already in the works It came in and an installation date of January 8th was scheduled. The installer came out with the shade, but it wasn't correct again and had to be remade. The new shade came in and was finally installed on January 31st. The whole process took 6 months for just one Roller Shade. I keep receiving automated invoices for the balance due on the project after repeatedly informing them that I will not be paying the final invoice. I have also brought up several times that I would like a refund of the initial deposit amount, but keep getting ignored. A complete refund is the least beltway Blinds can do to make right a 6 month process that should have take 2 months at most. read more

Was not the "perfect" experience, but the end results are very good. Had job delays caused by both a bit of mis-management of the order at manufacturer, and manufacturer materials backlogs. Had a day-of-job cancellation for my initial install, which was frustrating, to say the least. But Beltway rescheduled quickly, the order (not small) was correct, and the installation was fast, professional. I do recommend as the results are great, and with that recommendation I suggest you to be a bit more hands-on during the order-manufacturer stage to make sure any issues are addressed in a timely fashion. read more

Make sure to ask the name of the installler before you schedule. Be sure it is NOT Jay. That person was completely unprofessional, and ultimately my zebra shade install took two days. It has been a while since this experience, but it continues to bother me. 1. Jay arrived and didn't ask permission to enter my home. In fact, he just walked right in, no shoe covers, kept his wet shoes on in my house. Mind you, it rained recently, 2. Jay proceeds to do a very sloppy install. He just threw brackets up and all the way to the front. This was supposed to be an inside mount. My shades were protruding so far from the window that it looked like an outside mount. I could have done better myself. Reality is that he was doing a rush job and thought I wouldn't notice. 3. He proceeded to spend the entirety of his time in my house complaining about how their install works and I was wrong and that the sales agent told me wrong. I told him to take it up with his manager and sales agent. Also, I know I wasn't wrong about the mount and had the carbon copy notes to prove it. At that point I wanted him out of my house, but I kept it together, 4. he didn't bring the proper equipment to mount the shade for the window over the landing. Again, the notes explicitly called this out and I remember my sales agent taking very detailed notes. 5. After telling me he didn't have the equipment, had other appointments and would have to schedule for tomorrow, he proceeded to attempt to collect final payment....FOR AN INCOMPLETE JOB! The nice man who came the next day (I called the office and insisted on NOT JAY) not only took down ALL or Jay's work and redid it (making him late for other appointments), he installed the landing shades, AND put shoe covers on without being asked. He was incredibly polite and professional. If JAY ever comes to my house again I'm slamming the door. He is not welcome to mow my lawn let alone install shades adding unnecessary holes to my drywall. read more

04.18.2023 No Call/No Show I am not retired, so I don't have all the time in the world to be sitting home waiting for no one to call or show up. My window was from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and I had to call Beltway Blinds 12 minutes before the end of my installation window. And while I can understand that things may change "in the field", I also understand schedules as a Construction/Project Manager. When the project starts getting behind/delayed, I have to make judgment calls to keep on schedule. One of those judgment calls may be calling the next homeowner(s) to let them know of the delay and apologize for the inconvenience WELL BEFORE 12 MINUTES TO THE END OF THE WINDOW!!!! One other tactic, would be to call my corporate or dispatch office, notify them of the unanticipated delays and request a new crew come pick up the material and deliver/install for the remaining customers. Now, I don't know. Maybe everyone doesn't think like this. But I promise your, that phones work to deliver good news (we're on our way) and they also work to deliver not so good news (we're running behind). @Beltway Blinds - Your Design Consultant wanted me to immediately commit to your company instead of shop around because he wants to keep your installers employed. Not only did they NOT call to state the would NOT be installing my blinds on a day I took off of work (aka they STOLE my time from me by making me wait for NOTHING). But they verbally PROMISED that a manager would return a phone call by the next day. And here we find ourselves at the end of the work day window and NO CALL. I've come to the conclusion that Beltway Blinds' phones are from the year 1875 - before Alexander Graham Bell patented the telephone. Beltway Blinds' phones are made to only accept phone calls not make outgoing calls. This is why Beltway Blinds REFUSES to call customers when they fuck up the orders. To future potential customers:  Beltway Blinds BUYS 5 STAR REVIEWS!!! I scheduled an appointment with Beltway Blinds during the holidays. A couple of days before my appointment, I had a family emergency and had to leave town. I was surprised when I received a call requesting a reschedule. I was told I would still be able to get the 50% off for any estimate given during the holiday season as long as I scheduled my appointment within the month of December. I scheduled my appointment and stop on the day of James arrived properly and remained professional. Throughout the time he was completing the measurements and estimate. James was very courteous and asked if I wanted him to wear a mask and shoe covers. Even though I said, no, James insisted on putting the shoe covers on, we will come over here, which I secretly appreciated. After the measurements, and everything was complete, James gave me an estimate honoring the 50% discount that was offered, as promised. In addition, I received a military discount that I really wasn't expecting to get based on a yelp review I read. All-in-all it was a good experience. I can't wait to see everything once it is installed! Oh and one last thing, I initially requested an estimate for shutters but after seeing my home, James recommended other privacy options that wouldn't take away from the beautiful view I have. In June 2023 I contacted Beltway Blinds and a bored young person answered the phone. She sent me an email and instructions to provide a picture of my damaged plastic knob. In August 2023, I forwarded the email from June and highlighted that I did not get a response, requested a timeline or a response, and to date, no one has responded. Yesterday, Jake B. was servicing a customer in my neighborhood, and I asked him if he carried supplied in his truck. Very kindly, he gave me a card and told me the number to call and provided a person's name. Jake B. was great, but it is the principle. What has Customer Service gotten to. DO NOT! I repeat, DO NOT use this service. The sales team is very nice, but they clearly want to make a sale. I was very clear about what I needed (blackout curtains) and they said they could do it. They said it would be "room darkening." So I showed the salesperson the blackout curtains I already had in the room and the issue with them and asked whether his suggestion would fix it. He said it would. LIES! When I called, emailed, and mailed a letter to explain how the issue had not been solved and how my $40 blinds had done a better job of darkening the room than the $3K blinds they sold me, they said there was nothing they could do. The 30 day money back guarantee is non-existent. Not only that, but the blinds in the living room were sized incorrectly. It looks fine which is why I didn't make a big deal of that one in particular, but clearly they should've measured it better. I trusted the sales team and that was my mistake. They also offered a wide range of window coverings, which was critical in my case as I had to match a single replacement blind to the existing sets that were installed by a different company more than 13 years ago. The best part of the experience was working with Tiana. She was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, timely, and professional. The sales rep from beltway blinds came and gave a quote for blinds in virginia. He initially quoted $19K for 5 windows. I told him I already have a quote from another blinds company for $3300. Beltway blinds reviewed the quote from other company and beat the quote by $100. Two weeks later they took measurements for my windows. Today, when I called them when they will install the blinds. they mentioned that will not honour my order because they don't have enough profits. Why did they issue the purchase order to begin with? I rarely write reviews, because I think most people complain about trivial issue, however, working with Beltway Blinds has been the worst experience I have ever encountered. I have contacted Beltway Blinds several times and was kept on hold for over 5 minutes. I have asked to speak with a manager and was told that a manager is not available. The customer services team has scheduled installations, only to cancel the installation on the morning of the impending installation, as my shades and valances could not be found. I ordered $8000 dollars in custom shades in March/May 2023. The initial installation was completed, and later I noticed that the shade valances were not secured, but simply placed on wall brackets. I called Beltway Blinds back regarding this issue and they returned to my home to secure all 12 valances properly. The aforementioned is another demonstration of poor customer services and a lack of professional integrity on behalf of Beltway Blinds and their employees. In addition to the installation issues, the installers soiled the valances as the installer hands were dirty. I had to request that the installer wash his hands, to ensure the remaining valances and shades were not soiled. Since the beginning of the project, Beltway Blinds have been to my home 5 times due to various issues with the shades (inaccurate measurements, shade roller malfunction, improper installation of the shade valences and incomplete installation due to additional staff need to properly complete the job). I spent thousands of dollars on 19 blinds for my new home and I was promised a weekend delivery/install. When it came time to install the girl running the schedule said they were getting away from weekend appointments. Should have consulted Yelp before I purchased, this seems to be a systemic problem with with them and a flat out lie. I Had to take the day off from work and the order was not complete, one blind was the wrong size and missing many of the loop cord attachment brackets. So I have to take ANOTHER day off from work. They scheduled the wrong day. So I missed my appointment and now I can't get them to call me back to finish the installation. Also during the installation the young kid who seemed to be the team lead didn't discus installation before he began and put the first blind in the wrong place. He had to move it and filled the holes with caulking, telling me I'd just have to paint over it . The negative reviews are correct, inept and incompetent techs / unresponsive customer service. Disappointing and Absolutely frustrating!!!! This company clearly puts Sales above SERVICE... After my install in November/December, I had to engage the Service Department regarding a blind that was loose and detaching. It took longer than I expected to get a response and once I was able to get an appointment, it was after Christmas!! Totally disappointing. When the Service Tech came out, he was excellent!! Very polite, professional, and efficient.....took cate of the issue and I was completely satisfied. In February, I decided to give Beltway Blinds a second chance and purchased my Roller Shades from them....as previous, Barb, Sales-Design Consultant was Great!!! Roller shades arrived in March, the installers came out-professional, on-time, very polite and educated me on proper operation......a few days or so later I noticed a small defect....and you guessed it- attempting to get Service is FRUSTRATING. 3/18 Sent an email with pics and a description of my concern - No Response 4/2 Sent a follow up email and called. As my call was after 4PM, Service Dept was Closed. I was told someone would call me on Monday before close of business as I requested in my email 4/7 (today) No calls received and still, no reply to my email It's great to sell a great product but it's all negated when your Service Dpt is non-responsive and cannot meet the service expectations of your customers. read more

After disappointment after disappointment with the installation of my blinds, I sent the President a message on LinkedIn. Instead of a response back, I received a call from "my project concierge" Tyrius letting me know that he was reaching out pertaining to the 3rd installation. He appeared to not know anything about the issues I've had with the two previous installations, or my conversations with Shawnette! I found that very hard to believe. He didn't provide me with any additional information than I had prior to the call! Given the problems that I've had with this company, I do not recommend them! I gave them a two because of the professionalism of the two installers Jelani and Jose! Good afternoon Mr. Schreiber, I'm sending this message to let you know that I'm incredibly dissatisfied with the service I have received from your company. My husband and I built a new home in Brandywine, Maryland, and we closed at the end of November. One day, while coming to see the property, we were approached by one of your salesmen (Gunner). He did an excellent job convincing us that going with your company was a great option, compared to your competition, and at this point, I beg to differ! We met with him several times before signing the contract, and he was very persistent in getting us to put a downpayment down. We put the $1500 down payment after we closed and the order was placed. We were told that it would take months for the order to come in because we ordered shutters. The installer, Jelani W., arrived at the end of February, but unfortunately, he could not complete the job satisfactorily.  This was because all of the materials did not come in; the following was missing: a wand, bathroom blinds, a door blind, and hold-down hooks for two doors, and the wrong valances were ordered for all windows and doors. Jelani informed me that when he checked the order the night before at the warehouse, he noticed some missing items. However, he didn't have an explanation. While at my home, he called Shawnette B. and explained the situation. He said he was told to take pictures and document, which he did. When he left, I called Shawnette, expressed my dissatisfaction, and asked what could be done and how we could be compensated.  Given that the wrong valances were placed, the blinds looked horrible! She apologized and explained that they thought all the blinds had come in. However, she would place another order and reschedule another install, which would take another 3-4 weeks! When installer Jose came to my home yesterday, he could not complete the job! The bathroom window was measured incorrectly initially, and the correct valances for the three doors were not ordered. To make matters worse, my husband called the office yesterday to speak to Shawnette but was left on hold for a long time. He was told she would call him back, but she never did! I  called back today and asked for her, but I was left on the phone for 35 minutes. While I was waiting, the person who answered returned after 20 minutes and said she was in her morning meeting. I  found that interesting at 11:30 AM. Nevertheless, at the end of the 35 minutes, the call disconnected. I    called back and was told by another person that she could not patch the call to her line. I have served close to 30 years on active duty and have worked in the private sector. I  can count on one hand how many times I have experienced such unprofessionalism and disrespect as a customer! Your product is not cheap, and my husband and I should be compensated for the inconvenience we have endured with your company. The sales process was very easy and straightforward. My shutters were installed October 13th with missing pieces. The two gentleman were very nice, but put two dings on my kitchen wall requiring touch up paint, and scratched my hardwood floors. The caulking job looked amateur and is cracking 2 months later. I was told the missing parts would take 3 weeks. After following up with them 3x and finally speaking to a manager, I'm looking at the end of December if lucky. Of course things are delayed due to the pandemic, but lack of honest communication and no sense of responsibility this company lacks. They have my money and I have to stay the course. If you are looking for a company to provide quality... LOOK ELSEWHERE! The product they sell/produce is absolutely junk. The staff are inept. Call for service and maybe they'll show up. Have an appointment? Wait till 10 minutes before you are scheduled, then they'll call you to say they don't have the parts. They didn't even know what the problem was... But they didn't have the parts! They are very over priced and not dependable. I bought my window coverings roughly two years ago (they claim a lifetime warranty). It has been a cluster-fck since day one. Order your blinds and shades from Home Depot. Order a reliable brand (they have many) and put them in yourself (or get a handyman) you'll still save hundreds of dollars and get far better products..... I did after this debacle!
