It was a pleasure working with Sam and team selecting and installing 3 different blind products for our home.

Positives: During our 2 hour visit Debbie there were a couple of helpful suggestions she shared with us (lighting, window treatments). After the visit Debbie also did return some of our emails that had follow-up questions. Overall, however, there were 4 things that just didn't cut it for us. 1. Debbie PUSHED her slobproof brand of furniture on us strongly. We were not interested in the styles that she was showing us in her catalog, and mentioned to her a couple of other brands that may work in the space (i.e. crate and barrel, west elm)...but she was dead set on trying to sell her OWN stuff. 2. We spent a LONG time talking about and looking for RUGS on line. She said that this is the first thing you need to tie the room together. Well many months later, we have fabulous living room (thank you Lydia from Arhaus in VA!) with a very subtle simple cream rug. 3. Her communication style was more of a monologue than a dialogue. I know 2 hours isn't a long time, but we felt that our style, needs, and habits weren't really being taken into consideration. #4: Angel W.'s previous comment reminded me of this: Lastly, Debbie did offer to come back at the Groupon price that was coming out soon thereafter. However a few weeks later she reneged on this promise stating in an email that she was only planning on returning because she was under the impression that we would be selecting fabrics for "a Slobproof! Sectional, chairs and some of the other items we discussed." Tying the upcoming visit to to our buying slobpoof furniture was erroneous on its face. We did not have another visit, nor did we purchase any of her furniture. We hope these insights can help improve the customer experience for the next guy.

I purchased a Groupon for some design services. On the day the Groupon went on sale, I contacted…read morethe owner to set up an appointment. She mentioned that she was overwhelmed by the Groupon sales and could not take appointments at that time. She said she would call everyone back individually to set appointment times. I never received a call. I always schedule appointments right away and put the date on my calendar. My life is busy and that system works for me. Because the owner never callled me, I forgot about the service. Time passed and the Groupon expired. I have been known to let Groupons expire and am totally fine with it so long as I choose to let it expire. I did not choose to let this one expire. I paid $100 for the service so I was not simply going to let it go, especially since the staff never reached out to me as promised. At this later date, I placed a call to Designing Solutions to get this cleared up. I was promised a phone call that once again never came. The two star rating is solely for poor customer service and lack of follow through. I have worked with many design consultants in the past, all of whom I would give 5 stars. My sister has actually used Designing Solutions and mentioned that their design skills are mediocre so perhaps I lucked out. Groupon (who provides amazing customer service btw), refunded me the money, so this review has nothing to do with me being bitter about the money. I just think it's important for potential clients to realize that they may have to put some effort into getting the attention of the Designing Solutions staff.

Mothers Day 3:30 pm…read more I thought it would be a good idea to thrift on a major women's holiday. The aisles were open and less crowded. So I guess my experiment worked out. There are multiple shops like a flea market in between two thrift stores. One side is Value Village the other is Unique Thrift. You will need at least 2 hrs minimum to find something. The prices are too high for me . Idk about you but I'm paying 29.99 for a used dirty Talbots wrap dress. I found 2 Missoni travel cases and called it a day. Dress for the dust and dander ... maybe wear a mask to avoid inhaling so much dust . Happy Thrifting

It's absolutely huge and has every section you could think of. Come in with a plan or you'll be overwhelmed! There are no changing rooms and while there are bathrooms last time I went in they were so dirty they were unusable. Some items like hats and belts are sorted by men and women but are kind of unisex. If you go on busier days it will be more crowded and messy. Mondays and Thursdays have 25% off sales and are busy. Weekends are busy as well. They are always putting out new items throughout the day. There are no changing rooms, so wear something close fitting so you can try clothes on over what you're wearing. You can always donate something to get a 20% off coupon. The staff are really nice and friendly here- if you have any questions just ask!

ONLINE ORDER AND DELIVERY: I may have officially entered my "organized chaos but make it stylish"…read moreera, thanks to my recent delivery of 8 FRAKTA shopping and storage bags and 6 GÖRSNYGG shopping bags from IKEA. Let me just say... these bags are the unsung heroes of my life. The FRAKTA bags? Absolute workhorses. I use them in my office to haul giant bulk mail cartons to the postal center like I'm some sort of efficiency ninja. They swallow boxes whole and still have room to spare. I've also loaded them up with bulky art supplies, event materials, and let's be honest, the occasional "how did I accumulate this much stuff?" pile. They never judge. They just carry. The GÖRSNYGG bags are my go-to for grandkid gifting missions. Trips filled with IKEA treasures and surprise presents are now way easier and way more cheerful. They're sturdy, practical, and somehow make me feel wildly put together. As much as I love wandering the store (because who doesn't?), the online shopping experience was easy peasy. Smooth checkout, quick delivery, and everything arrived perfectly. Zero drama. Maximum satisfaction. Who knew bags could spark this much joy? Five stars from this very happy, very well-equipped customer! Thank you, Andy!

A polar experience, a different day, a different planet. Let's accept that that one day was just a remarkable exception. Today, super helpful, friendly staff who shared specific and potent ideas about color matching, contrasting and blending fabric v. leather etc. We left smarter, with guidance and great direction re a sofa we really like, in a great fabric on view, and chair we might equally. If you like this type of furniture styling, then Georgetown and Tysons shops are winner. ----- Stars for the service- lack. Lovely scandi-modern furniture if it is to your taste. High end prices but not atmospheric. Service, super, on our day, if your goal is to browse without sales interruptions. That is, ignored is bliss, if sought. But we needed some. And when we sought attention-- a tear sheet, a question, an anything-- no ability to get an acknowledgement from any of the salespeople. Not a one. Perturbing, to say the least, to a thickskinned shopper. Quite liked an Osaka reddish sofa, tufted with angled arms, there but that's a Bo sale likely lost, as there were as friendly sofas we liked at Room and Board, with available nice folks. Super.

It looked very modern and was told by my friend it was from Denmark. He said it was very expensive. I looked very closely at the materials and mentioned that it was not real wood, either MDF or Particle Board with veneer as well as made in China. My friend said that is impossible as he was assured it was real solid wood made in Denmark. I said to him, I will cut part of his furniture and if it is not MDF or Particle Board I would buy and replace it. Lo and behold it was Particle Board. I have yet to find out what my friend did after I left his dinner invitation.
