With those miles it was having normal (and some abnormal) aging issues: Dual temp heater control issues. Oil leaking from the valve covers onto the plug boots, turning them to mush. Carbon build up. Intake air leaks causing rough idling. Jimmy took his time and talents and fixed it all. He wouldn't let it leave the shop until it was right. It wasn't cheap but it was very fair and much, much less than a dealer. I've worked on cars and engines and I know what this kind of dedication takes. Just the facts... Took vehicle in for dragging rear brakes…read more Diagnosis was need all new brakes. $1200. High, but OK, do it. Got it back, and brakes still dragging. Apparently needs new calipers. Another $800. No choice - do it. Caliper bolts not torqued properly. One fell out on the I-90 off ramp. Bang, bang, bang. Scary. They fixed it, but that was overall an expensive job to have it end in a brake failure. 1 star. They were courteous and did eventually fix the brakes. ...but I can't recommend, and will never go back to Marks.

I took my car to Integrity after their phone quote was a bit lower than other garages in Beloit…read more The guys at Integrity--Lee, in particular--worked to find ways to lower the cost for me, including cleaning and fixing old parts rather than replacing them. The other shops wanted to get me for that part, and extra labor. I had a very tight time frame to get the repairs done, and Integrity told me they would meet my schedule. The problem ended up taking longer than expected, but I never felt like the shop was running me around. Integrity was very communicative with me, and even gave me a loaner car for the evening so I could buy groceries and supplies for my upcoming road trip. After the work was done, they double- and triple-checked my car with a road test, and actually made some adjustments after the test, without any extra fees. Then they tested the fix again. Lee made sure that I didn't leave his shop unsatisfied, and although I'm certain I was one of their less agreeable customers, I am enthused with their performance and service. I never felt like they were screwing me around, and their "multi-point inspection" came to my phone online, complete with pictures of my car for every problem they found. I would happily recommend Integrity to anyone in need of repairs in the area. P.S. Their waiting lounge is quite comfortable, and not depressing and old like most other shops.
