I used to fix my own vehicles because it was so difficult to find a competent, trustworthy mechanic that fixes things how I would. WeLL, I found Rod & now I only do the easier maintenance on my vehicles because Rod has always done an excellent job. He does NOT run-up the biLL or over charge for parts. He does what is necessary to get you on the road safely & quickly. MaGGie is very personable & professional. She is genuinely a good person who communicates weLL about your repair. She loVes Beagles. Businesses like this are few and far between. Rod has helped me multiple times with an old beat up mustang I had and did whatever possible to stop me from wasting money on it while keeping it on the road. Other reviews mention paying half of what they were quoted from other repair shops and I can attest to that; literally paid just over half of what I was quoted to replace a clutch, an expensive fix anywhere else. My neighbor referred me and I couldn't thank her enough for it! I thought my (fairly new) car needed new brakes so I went to Rod's and they took a look to give me an estimate. Turned out my car did not need new brakes yet. Anywhere else would have ripped me off and told me I need new brakes and rotors just to make money but the mechanic at Rod's took me to the car, showed me and was 100% honest with the whole thing! BEWARE !!!! Place got some balls to lie like they did . diagnostic on my car was wrong and they tried to get 2.5K for a $500 repair . said it was the wrong thing and said they were 100% correct on whats wrong . fixed it at another shop and it was nowhere near what they were trying to rip me off from . Not a trustworthy place and got away with $50 that I want back for being stupid liars thinking I did not know what i was talking about . I like to work on my car myself and therefore I don't like other people working in it. But I couldn't figure out the vibration I was experiencing. Upon a referral from two people I took it to Rods shop on Friday morning 5/9/14. Derrick listened to my explanation of the symptoms. Later that morning, he advised me of a bad rear wheel bearing and some thin rear brake pads (my brakes had 120k on them). He fixed the car at a reasonable price. By the afternoon my car was done and ready for the road. I'll gladly come back with confidence that these guys are real pros. read more
