BeMe Chic has an amazing selection of high quality dresses and equally amazing customer service. I should also note that they have a menswear selection. I was in a last minute predicament for a wedding and after waiting on a dress that was not going to arrive on time I went to various stores. BeMe Chic was the only store that had a very similar specific color and similar style to the desired dress that I had ordered. The owner altered it last minute stating that it needed to be hemmed when I was clueless and didn't even really consider that factor. I made a last minute appointment with Linda at BeMe Chic for a rush on a dress needed for an upcoming gala. Not only did Linda have options in my size but she had options I liked. Linda was patient with me and was a great listener. When I said I didn't care for a dress with lace sleeves she didn't hesitate to show me another option and she never once made me feel bad for not liking something. Linda is very knowledgeable about fashion and has a gift when it comes to looking at you and knowing your size immediately. That definitely helped in making my shopping experience a good one. I didn't want to write this review but after talking to my partner I felt it was important to let others know my experience. I came here to try on dresses for my sisters wedding. Linda is the owner, she was very outspoken, talks over you, and aggressive, but she's a good sales person. I felt so amazing and confident in two dresses Linda picked out she made a comment about my breasts (I'm a breastfeeding mama & 8 months postpartum). I won't say the comment because I am still in shock that she would think that's okay to say to a future customer. I never once asked her "how do my breast look to you?". It was very uncalled for and uncomfortable honestly. I didn't buy a dress but i was going to go the next day to make a decision. Once I was home I texted her and canceled our appointment. I should've left when I felt she was a bit pushy with selling. I can't believe I didn't speak up for myself in the moment. I'll rather go elsewhere like Downtown Los Angeles where I can find the exact same dresses for cheaper with alterations and better service. I love my mom bod I look like I never had a baby! The lady made me feel really uncomfortable in less than 30seconds. I did not have an appointment and she just grabbed me and touched my waist and called my body "boxy". Looking for a nice dress for an event? Look no further!! Linda is simply the best! My mom and I were dress shopping for a wedding and started at the mall with no luck. This was a wonderful experience! I have a wedding to attend and unfortunately I was feeling iffy about the dress I already had. It was extremely last minute, so I knew my chances of finding a dress might be low. But, I went on Yelp and found this place! I called to ask about the hours because I couldn't get out of work until 6pm, and Linda was extremely kind enough to take me in even though they close at 7pm. She had a group that she was helping already, but she told me to wait for a few minutes and she will be right with me. One of the reasons why I chose this place was because I saw the reviews from other customers who claimed she knew what size they were immediately--they were right! I was surprised that every dress she had me try fit me perfectly. The dresses she pulled for me were beautiful, even if they weren't the kind of style that I would have chosen myself. She was very patient with me. The final dress I tried on was a little loose from the straps and the waist and she offered to fix it for me with no extra cost--which I really appreciated, especially because it was so last minute! I walked in BEME boutique after getting my mani pedi at pinkies nail spa next door (who is awesome). A staff member looked at me, but never acknowledged my presence; she didn't greet me. I continued to walk around and browse. 2 minutes later a young couple walks in. A staff member on the other side of the store greeted them immediately and cheerfully welcomed them in, asking their names and began assisting them. Meanwhile no one has even said hello to me. Not even the shop owner who looked at me once again; or the staff member behind the register who looked at me and began folding clothes. I would like to hope that it was just a coincidence that I was ignored and both the fact that I am a dark skinned African American female and the patrons who walked in after me were Caucasian was coincidental.
