    I've had my jeans hemmed here twice now and quality of the work is as good as you'll find from the factory. After my last visit, my brother brought up repairs and was told that they were looking to offer it. Well I'm here to tell you that glorious day has arrived! Can't comment on speed/turnaround time as it's still new so not that many jeans were in the repair queue but either way, quality can't be rushed. I needed a crotch repair and a cuff repair, price is on par with other places I've been to without the longer drive or mailing it in so the convenience is where it's at. Even though I believe they'll be offering a mail in repair so fear not non socal residents. I don't really have a preferred method on denim repair, they sort of just do the job and it's what is necessary to keep the jeans going but I was pleasantly surprised with the method Butterscotch used. The reinforced backing is a soft felt like material so it won't create a pressure point. The pressure points just causes a tear as soon as the stitching stops so it creates a vicious cycle of repairing the repair -_- I'm super stoked with the work I got and have no doubt it will hold up for years! When I come back for my next repair job, it will be because of another tear that develops, it certainly won't be because of the quality of this job. Thanks again Butterscotch!

    I've bought from Butterscotch before and already wanted to like the store. The store has a unique and varied selection of clothes, and their prices aren't any more expensive than other places in the US. So why is this a 1 star review? It's 100% because of Tommy, the business owner. tldr; I was polite when I walked in the store, felt unwelcome by his question--then when I tried giving him constructive feedback, he didn't listen. During my last visit, I wanted to try on Vanson leather jackets in-person to see how they actually fit vs. only comparing measurements online. I went in, and Tommy was talking to someone that seemed important, so I didn't want to bother him. He actually offered to help though, and to be polite, I asked him first if I could try on one of the jackets, and he said yes. I took a few minutes to look at the details, then tried some jackets on. I found my size, took a mirror selfie, then zipped it up and put it back nicer than I had found it on the wall. I also took a picture of the size tag, so I could look back at both pictures for later reference. Tommy then asked me, "Any reason why you took a picture of that jacket?" Felt weird, felt accusatory, but I said I was getting a picture to see how it fits. In my head, maybe he thought I was trying to steal this design, because it was one that he had worked on with Vanson to produce, so I said "I'm not trying to steal your stuff." I told him what my actual job was, he pointed finger guns at me, and we both laughed awkwardly--like a bad first date! Shortly after, I told him thanks, take care, and then left. When I got home, I decided to message him privately and give him honest feedback, because a good business owner would be receptive to constructive criticism, right? Surely, they would be mature and not try to publicly shame a customer because of 'improper etiquette', right? Well, I messaged him the following (screenshot below): "Hey Tommy, my name is Ben. I was in the shop earlier to check out the Vanson commando. I understand you're worried about people stealing designs, but the way you asked me why I took a picture of the jacket made me feel unwelcome and judged. Wanted to let you know, you can take it or leave it." Maybe it was a sign from God himself telling me to take up religion, because clearly I misplaced my faith in Tommy. He screenshotted my private message, put it on his public story for everyone to see, and wrote the caption: "Ask any shop owner or any higher end store, if you walk into a store and start taking photos of product they will ask you to either leave and/or delete it. It is not OK to take photos of products in shops without permission. I will stand behind that. Don't be like this guy, try to shame me after you got called out and questioned. F*ck no." He even went out of his way to tag my instagram handle on the actual story--what kind of petty man-child does that? Maybe he just get kicks from publicly shaming the town idiot for poor manners. But in all seriousness, this attitude loses a lot of dedicated customers (returning or prospective) from going out of their way to Long Beach to see the store. Anywhooser if you want to actually talk to me like a real adult, then you know where to message me Tommy.

    Wow - I'm impressed by ButterScotch LBC. I ordered a Stetson Hat on Monday. It arrived on Wednesday of the same week. I. Live. In. Brooklyn. Off the customer service and care alone, I'm going to continue buying from you guys. The note, sticker and key chain was a nice touch. Couldn't be happier with the outcome.     I haven't left a negative review for a business in years, and I really hate to do so about this…read moreestablishment. The clothes here are on point, and the atmosphere is really chill. The problem is coming from the most terrible customer service I have ever experienced. I picked up a pair of boots here a little over a year ago, and about 5 months in, the sole of one of Jen started to come apart. No big deal - things happen. I brought the boots in several months ago, probably early January if not earlier for repair. They said no problem, and sent it to their shop and said it would be ready in a couple weeks and that they would call me when I could pick them up. Seemed like a bit of a wait, but ok. A couple months later, I decided to call and see where they were at. "Still not ready, we will let you know." A couple weeks after that, I go into the store. You'll never guess: still not ready. I called almost a month later. Still not ready. At this point, I have had enough and ask for my boots back. They say they will have to make some calls and they will call me back within a day. A week and a half later, and I haven't heard back and now can't even get a hold of them. I paid over $300 for a pair of boots that started falling apart in less than a year, and it has taken 4 months (and counting) to repair them and now I can't even get them back or get a hold of the people at the shop. Absolutely unbelievable.

I was embarrassed to admit I wasn't even 100% my size is and I want to fix that today. Brianna seemed stoked for the task! I explained the kind of cut I think I want and she asked me to look around while she went to work on selecting sizes, styles and different washes for me. Once she had a solid line up for me I started trying them all on. Her and Chelsea came over a few times to check on my progress to see if I wanted any different colors or sizes in what was picked out for me. One of them also mentioned that with the pair I end up picking I get a free hem to help get the length just right for me! I was instantly sold on the curvy flare jeans once I knew I could get them hemmed for my short legs. Once they pinned my pants to be ready for the hemming, I checked out and they let me know when they'd be ready for pick up. A few days later I got a call they were ready and when I went to pick them up I was greeted with a smile by Brianna again!
