I really want to like this place, given the aesthetic and overall quality of products are good, but there is only one thing: the salespeople always make you feel off putting and like you're not welcomed. It's always every time I've gone. For being Long Beach you would expect a more down to earth vibe, but all you get are stuck up rich White people vibes and I'm over it. I'm really surprised this place is still in business considering how expensive it can be and the bad vibes you get. Honestly go down the block to the vintage shop instead. I stopped by Prism yesterday, and I love to stop by when I'm in town. I honestly left pretty disappointed. The girl working lacked warmth and kindness, and it made me uncomfortable to ask for help or any questions at times. OBSESSED with this carefully curated boutique! I had to visit this boutique in person after discovering it on Instagram. The staff is amazing at helping you select something for your occasion or giving great product recommendations, and everyone is really polite. This store has been my go-to when it comes to finding a gift for someone too! He was cranky and wild, but the employee working (didn't catch her name, July 11 morning) was so sweet and patient. The selection was great; my wife bought lots of nice, high-quality clothes that you can't find anywhere else. Prices were very reasonable too. Discovered this boutique one day when I went for a walk and visited the shop several times while visiting Long Beach. Absolutely love it here. Such a big space, they have everything from clothing to swimwear to jewelry to books and home decor. They have super cute clothing and accessories. Prices aren't cheap but not overly expensive either. Great for gifts or for yourself. Customer service is fantastic. I ended up buying a shirt with a hole in it (unknowingly) and when I got back home, they were able to send me a new shirt. Dealt with Lena via email and she was fantastic. I love this boutique. They always have stylish options and it's a good size of a store. I love the jewelry options they have and the fact that they always have a lot of options for Levi jeans. They also always carry the athletic brand Girlfriend Collective. The sales associates are always so kind and helpful, I always appreciate their help. This place is definitely on the pricey side but I do think most of their options are worth the quality. They don't do return for cash, only return for store credit. That's pretty common for boutiques like this but it's always a little frustrating at times. Either way I love this boutique and I always come back. read more

I really wanted to like this place. The instagram pictures are awesome but complete let down when actually visited the location. Decent inventory (clothing, shoes, jewelry, and a few home goods) but customer service is lacking barely got a hello when walked in and sales associate wasn't interested or asked if I had any questions or looking for anything when your the only customer in the store at least try and engage common greetings. Definitely one of my fav spots in the area. Mainly because they're the only store I know that sells more indie brands that are (usually) sustainable, ethical, and/or innovative (GF Collective, Reformation, Lisa Says Gah, Hammies, Free People, For Love and Lemons, House of Sunny, etc). I saw a few reviews saying this shop is "overpriced", which I can understand from a regular consumer's point of view. But if you are someone who somewhat keeps up with fashion (particularly "Gen Z" fashion) and is familiar with the brands they sell, the prices are pretty on par and reasonable. Especially if you keep in mind that the styles, quality, and/or sustainable/ethical component of the brands/clothing is not something you'll find in a regular boutique/clothing store. Most the brands also aren't sold in stores usually, so it was nice to be able to feel and try the clothing on. The store itself was clean and organized and had a good variety of items. I know there's a few negative reviews abt customer service, but the employees were very sweet and helpful when I came in. There were maybe 5 or 6 customers in the store at one point and the 2 girls working were still able to be efficient and helpful to all of us. read more

SCAM. Don't shop online at PRISM BOUTIQUE especially if you're from Canada. I was CHARGED TWICE for over the border duty, taxes and shipping for a total of $65.95 for delivery of a $66.35 T-shirt. Customer service was a joke - their remedy was for me to refuse the package from DHL and be out of pocket for what I paid already for shipping and the T-shirt since they don't do refunds of either. Cute and trendy stuff, maybe overpriced, and unsavory customer service/staff experience. I've been in love with this boutique since I can remember. Quite a while before purchasing anything, I followed them on social media just to admire how cute all of their stuff is. Lovely curation. Finally I pulled the trigger and bought myself a couple of treats online. I missed a $35 coupon code for an item I was buying by 12 hours but wasn't going to grovel for that. When I walked in, I was greeted and my order brought up. It was a pretty average experience at that point. Nothing particularly striking - the shoes were labeled with a market price of $5 more than their selling price through Vans directly, which I get, but maybe take that other price tag off if you are upcharging? I asked if I could try on the shoes I bought online and they directed me to a spot where I could. It turns out they were a full size too small. After letting the staff member know, they told me they didn't have the size I wanted in stock, but were referencing the wrong size. I corrected them and they realized they did have it - they hadn't apparently listened to the size I had asked for (human error maybe, I get it). Online it also said they had 13 pairs of this size I ultimately ended up getting. It was a good 10 minutes until they brought the correct size out. I honestly can't remember ever waiting so long anywhere for a new size of shoes to be brought out. Other guests helped before me, shop tasks getting completed, chatter between staff. I was not looking to spend more than $200 here and I was already close to hitting that with my sale t-shirt and shoes, so I attempted to browse and then stopped realizing I shouldn't purchase more that day. Their staff was not friendly given my wait time and generally made me feel like I was putting them out. It was uncomfortable. Coming from a strong customer service and operations background, this was an unsavory experience. They could do much better to make guests feel welcomed and catered to, especially for the prices of the goods. Just the look in their eyes (my casual look of lululemon leggings and a sloppy tee wasn't cool enough for the girl working it seems) and substandard customer service will be enough for an unfollow on social media and my not returning. I can find trendy stuff elsewhere for much better prices, and receive authentically kind, accurate, and prompt interaction from team members. Please take a hint from this review. I have followed Prism Boutique on social media for years and was excited to finally come in and check it out in person. Not sure where to even start but - one of the employees was so closely following me around the entire store to the point where I actually had to ask her to move so I could continue to look at items. Another employee was yelling tasks across the (super small) store for the other employee to do for them which was just extremely cringey and unprofessional in my opinion. and lastly, the same girl who was following me also rushed me to try on and then completely ignored me in the fitting room to the point where I had to ask my boyfriend to look for a different size for me, but they had no issues accommodating the ONE other customer in there. Just an all around disappointing shopping experience. I love this boutique :)! It has all the trendy most adorable clothing, boots, hats and fragrances at affordable prices to a lil higher. If you're into Australian brands they even have some Spell :)! I was lucky to have Sydney repeatedly as my sales lady. She is so sweet and very professional :)! For my last purchase she really went out of her way to accommodate me. The merchandise had just arrived and had not been checked in. It's usually left for the owner. Sydney obviously knew how to do it. So I gave her some time (she had to check in the whole shipment for my lil item). I checked back a while later and my item was ready for sale. My purchases with Sydney have been such a pleasure that I'll check Prism Boutique first for my brand in CA. I'd love to give her 10 stars! She even sends me thank you cards :-). How cool is that even for a specialty lil bralette. I was also interested in obviously more expensive items but was treated so incredible for a specialty bralette that wasn't a high dollar purchase. That shows Excellent customer service IMO! Free street parking out front of the store or across the street. Parking easier to find in the evening out front. Yelp coupon also, so check it out! Two stars for cute selection of products. Zero stars for the lack of basic people skills, customer service and inclusion. My boyfriend and I walked in looking to shop local this year for the holidays. Barely was acknowledged even though we were a foot away from two store employees. I made direct eye contact with one and smiled and she seemed to look right through me. Tried to ignore my gut instinct on how we were being treated but the real cherry on top was when we were waiting in line behind what seemed to be a shop regular...the employee whispered to them: "there is a discount online so you should wait to purchase". Way to make someone else feel like they aren't part of the club and to exercise favoritism. The employee then finally acknowledged that we were ready to check out then proceeded to begrudgingly assist us. I told my boyfriend to put away our bigger ticket items ($150 earrings and a $45 Baggu lunch bag) as I didn't want to give this type of business who gives poor customer service any more money than I was already giving. Overall, we felt slighted and like second class citizens shopping there. Seems like a common theme for a lot of other people who posted reviews prior to mine. Note: I have worked in luxury retail management for 15 years and never would I treat any customer the way we were treated. Spend your money where your human existence is at first and at the very least acknowledged. If I had four hands I would give this place four thumbs down. read more

It was my first time shopping at this store and I loved it. I've been wanting to come here ever since I saw it on Instagram over a year ago! I bought really cute hoop earrings and they were tagged as $60. They were actually tagged incorrectly and were $70. The girls were so nice and apologetic for the accident (which wasn't a problem at all, accidents happen!). The girls were super nice and offered a free Rolla'a t-shirt to me for the inconvenience. Thoughtfully curated boutique, but seriously lacking quality customer service. I've made a couple purchases from here since last year. Usually I browse online and if I like something I'll stop in and make the purchase.The last two times I opted for curbside pick-up, both times I didn't get an answer when calling the store upon arrival and had to enter the store for my purchase. This past time finally did it for me though. My order was ready at 12:46pm 7/13/21 on a Tuesday. I called, the phone fully rang and no answer. I headed inside and entered a completely quiet and empty store, you could hear a pin drop, honestly. Eventually someone came to help and when I grabbed my order I asked about their Lack of Color brand hats, and whether they carried all size options in store. She said we have all the sizes. Well they didn't, I was hoping to try the XL in the bucket hat and that isn't available, nor do they carry that option. Also at no point was I offered any help, not even with bringing down the hats off the hat hooks etc. I couldn't even reach one because it was a struggle so I didn't bother to even try it. I finally decided on one, headed to make my purchase. As the girl was about to begin ringing me up, another staff member comes walking out of the back with a mug of coffee or tea casually sipping, interrupts the girl helping me to let her know she'll take over and she can take her break. She's as slow as a sloth at this point, I asked her if they happened to have the beige color in the hat I was buying and she gave me the indirect "we have whatever is on the floor". Then she must of decided she doesn't want to ring me up and brings back the first girl, who was already helping me, to complete my purchase. This girl was either high, or really overly almost shamelessly laidback at her job. I went ahead and bought the $98 hat, not because I wanted to support a small business and its staff, at this point I was past that, but because it was so much effort and I genuinely wanted it. Now to top it all off I head home and come to find out, The beige option was available, in both terry and canvas!! Really? That is beyond annoying. The clothes in this store can honestly sell itself, and the staff at this point just feels like a hurdle your jumping over to be able to comfortably shop here. read more

Only lasted 10 mins and had to go home to change shoes. Took them back to exchange two days later but they didn't have the next size up. They wouldn't return them for store credit, or do anything.
