When I die, which may be sooner than later if I keep eating this gluttonous greatness, submerge my cold sticky body in a vat of B&J's Salted Caramel ice cream. Oh man, it is truly the nectar of the Gods. I only eat ice cream or any kind of dairy a few times a year, but this cup of love is well worth a cheat day. This is one of downtown Boone's only 'chains' which I typically steer clear of, but this location is 5 doors down from my building and I treated myself after a long night if fixing up my place and getting ready to rent it out. Ice cream was not that good- I'd skip this place! Very small inside. I was disappointed at the taste of ice cream.

On Saturday night, Jan. 3: Great ice cream...of course. Fun names and lots of options. Pricey, of course. It's quality ice cream in a tourist town. Customer service was okay at best. They did their job but not overwhelming in the welcome or friendly manner. But that's okay too, as not everyone is gregarious on a Saturday night. The only thing that turned me off was the long wavy hair on the guy. He had a hat on, not that it did any good. Shoulder length locks and a rat tail going down the center of his back. The young lady had her hair tightly pulled back in a pony tail. I wish the guy did too. Not knowing what may have fallen from his head into the ice cream makes me not want to go back. read more

This experience is the best I've ever had. * As a consumer with food allergies (artificial dyes and dairy) I normally assume restaurants can't accommodate these requests. However, today, I asked and was overwhelming surprised by the kindness of the employee named Logan. * Logan made sure to use a fresh scoop and scooped me up some dye free and dairy free ice cream. * I was so excited I could've cried. * Logan triple checked and showed me how she was making sure to prevent cross contamination. * As I went to leave, Logan said, "everyone deserves to enjoy ice cream, I hope you absolutely love it!" * I've never had a better experience. We stopped in on a Sunday, around 1:30-2 We were immediately greeted and the staff were friendly! Allergy friendly: allergy book on hand. Staff willing, and kind, to ensure my little guy had an allergy friendly treat. Offered to open a fresh container of ice cream to ensure no cross contamination. Cleaned hands and scoop to ensure no cross contamination. All was offered without me asking which saved my little guy any potential embarrassment. Ben & Jerry's ice cream shop with choices of ice cream, sorbet and milk shakes. Expect long lines due to the tourist popularity of Boone. Great service despite only two workers. The small cup holds 2 scoops of ice cream for a little less than $6. They serve a good variety of flavors, mostly consisting of their popular flavors, including a couple sorbets. You can also get waffle cone bowls or cones. Lastly, they don't serve plastic spoons; they're made of wood! Neat! read more

This Ben & Jerry's on King Street in Boone is a well managed Ben & Jerry's that offers a great ice cream experience and more. I really like the location in the middle of everything and it is a nice stop for a snack or dessert. The staff here is very welcoming and makes sure that you get everything that you need. I have had a really good experience every time I have been here. read more

LOVE this store!!! We have 3 kids that have gone to/go to App State (GO NEERS!!!) and stopping at Ben and Jerry's every single time we are up in Boone- it is a huge tradition for our family. Whether it's 100° or 40°, raining, or shining (or even snowing!!) we stop into B&J's for our faves!!! One of the best things about it now is coming in to see Kylie-she has got to know our whole crew over the last year or so and always greets us with a sweet smiling face and genuinely asks how the family is doing. Rude owner while my husband and family were present. I would have taken his unfriendly manner personally but after witnessing his continued mannerisms toward a female worker who was having problems because the ice cream was frozen to well, made me realize he just doesn't like people or at least he didn't on the day we visited. I was highly dissatisfied with the employees behavior. My husband had made a purchase while I waited outside with our 1 year old daughter... after feeding her their Ben & Jerry's brownie, she spit most of it in my hand. In emergency, I quickly had ran in, acknowledged both employees and ran for the restroom. As I was walking out they addressed me of their bathroom policy -- i KINDLY explained that I was with the man whom already made a purchase (therefore I was able to use the restroom). Both employees rudely dismissed my explanation and both decided to reiterate their policy with a nasty attitude (even though I explained myself, and as if we didn't already pay for our right to use the restroom. PLUS, they had a customer to attend all while being confrontational). I felt insignificant as a customer and practically attacked for using their restroom despite our purchase. Let's also not forget the fact that I had a load of spit up chocolate brownie pouring over my hand smh. Their approach was unnecessary. read more
