This is a small store front in the restaurant area inside the casino. So something you visit when already at the casino. It is very loud in this area right near the indoor waterfalls. Shame on you Ben and Jerry! Charging a 5lb Yorkie $1 for a "pup cup", which is simply a taste of whipped cream in a cup! Been here dozens of times and never was presented a canine bill! As if the price of the ice cream I'm purchasing for myself could not cover it! Additionally, we could have walked 20 steps over to the neighboring Starbucks for the same thing for free, where they value their customer's loyalty to the brand and are generous with their canine companions. If this is a new policy, as I was told it was, I highly suggest you rethink it. Profiteering becomes ugly at some point, and you have reached that point. I usually pay a visit here on most of my visits to Mohegan which is several times a year. The lines move pretty quickly, and service is hit or miss. The ice cream is always good, as I enjoy a nice treat before heading home or upstairs for the night. Pricing can be a lot better. It's got to be close to 10 dollars for a sundae now! Most of the local scoop shops in my neighborhood charge less and give you more. Even the local B&J's in my neighborhood are not this costly. I'll still consider visiting, but I might look for a local place to go to as well. read more

It's really everything you want it to be late at night in a casino, isn't it? Walking by all the shops and restaurants...then you come across the holy grail at the end!! Ben and Jerry's! Of course we had to stop and get some. The workers were super polite with my friend who is incredibly picky and wanted to try a few flavors. I'm a chocolate fudge brownie girl myself so I got that on a small cone right away. The line moved quickly, they definitely were continuously busy. Was it super over priced because it's in Mohegan Sun? Yes. Do I care? No. I love the seating that's sporadic throughout this little hall in Mohegan. As the smell of fresh hot waffle cones wafts through the casino.... it really does entice you and pull you in. Plus the central location makes it super easy to get to. Even getting the smallest cone, you are given a ton of scoops. There is just something great about the freshness of the ice cream there as opposed to scooping it yourself out of the pint from your local supermarket. Where do I start? OK, first of all, all the employees are on stage, visible to the public during the process. Under zero circumstances, should an employee be seen scratching or touching their body or wiping their clothing, then producing your order, period! This occurred and was addressed in a way that made the employee aware of the circumstance. Secondly, the cost of a banana split was $12. We expected a pretty decent creation. What we got basically filled up half the banana boat container it was served in! We really thought it was a joke, but it wasn't! Shame on me for not questioning further. Ben and Jerry's sells for $3.50 to $5.99 a pint in our area stores. That pint would double the amount of ice cream we got in the split for $12! Oh, there were dribbles for topping, caps of whipped cream just on the tippity tips of the miniscule scoops, peanuts not walnuts, of course a banana that was normal sized, no cherry, all served in a modified classic banana in this case row boat container! This banana split was a manager's dream when it comes to profit. What's going on in the food service industry just makes me want to treat myself at home rather than go out, especially in this case! They survive because of their exclusivity in the casino venue. Oh, and don't forget the tip! I did leave a tip , the kids deserve one, but let me leave another tip. Ben & Jerry's NEVER disappoints!! I remember the first time I had B&J's ice cream 30+ years ago at sleep away camp in Vermont. Delicious!! I have to give major kudos and thanks to Isaiah at the Ben & Jerry's in Mohegan Sun!!!! My 11 yr old daughter has a *LIFE THREATENING* peanut allergy and Isaiah went above and beyond to assure us that he would take the utmost precautions to make sure my daughter would have a safe and enjoyable Ben & Jerry's experience!! He told us that Ben & Jerry's trains their employees to wash hands, open brand new ice cream containers and use clean utensils for all nut allergy customers. He let my daughter know which flavors to stay away from and he took great care when preparing her ice cream milkshake. Isaiah went in the back and got a new mixer pitcher to make the milkshake in, he opened the new container of ice cream right in front of us, and he even put on a new pair of rubber gloves. Isaiah could not have been more professional, helpful or caring. He even said they serve many peanut/nut allergy customers there and no one is going to have an allergic reaction on his watch!! Isaiah was super helpful with our entire order and when my daughter even noticed the care he put into making her feel Safe, I felt it necessary to tell his manager, and write a review on Yelp (I NEVER write reviews!). I felt totally ripped off. It cost 14$ for a large cup of Cherry Garcia and a plain vanilla milkshake.
