So pleased to be able to update my previous review. With my latest experience all of the servers were pleasant, quick, polite, and positive. The coffee is now served in paper cups not styrofoam, and the rude person appears to be no longer waiting on customers but busy with other tasks. Excellent donuts! Very fresh and perfectly made. My wife had long lamented that she was unable to find any donut shops on the east or west coast that were as good as the one her mother would get donuts from when she was a girl but it looks like this fills the bill. I was a bit worried that they would be out of some of the good ones since they open around four and we got there about eight but there were plenty. Lots of people ahead of us but the line moved fast. Flanders is a cute shop in a small strip mall. They have a huge amount of donut and bagel options, and do consolidate their offerings during the day (so labels may not always match up). The bagels were very good; they tasted authentic compared to the plastic that is a supermarket bagel. The shop itself does not have seating or a restroom. read more

They have a drive through but there are so many options that I recommend to go inside unless you know exactly what you want. Flanders has been on my radar for well over a year now. I have an entire bookmark collection of just donuts and it seems they mount faster than I can try them. We were on our way to CT and finally decided OKAY, no more messing around. Let's go! We placed a large order (3 dozen donuts and a bag of bagels) so we called early in the morning to pick up a little later. I didn't want to miss out on any of these beauties! The donuts are phenomenal as all other reviewers have said before. Their cake/old-fashioned style donuts are slightly crispy with an incredibly soft inside. We come there whenever we are in the vicinity. Always worth a stop. You have to be mindful of their hours and cash is the only compensation they accept. We are in our 70's and have a few favorite places for donuts, thankfully we do not live close because they have fantastic donuts, pastry and bagels and it would be tough not visiting more frequently. I should have researched more before I visited. The kid wanted to go so I obliged on a rare day off. We arrived and found a small line of customers at 10:00am on a weekday. I learned upon arrival that it is cash only but no prices visible anywhere. Luckily I always carry $20 of donut money in my car. A dozen donuts is $10.99. Gourmet donuts are more. Did not have enough for bagels as well so I'll have to go back. Despite coming for donuts, the other pastries were more appealing to the kids. The donuts were decent and worth the try. read more

When I moved to the area in 1996 my Aunt Peggy brought me here for the fresh bagels. They come in many different flavors: plain, blueberry, cinnamon raisin, onion, poppy seed, sesame seed, jalapeno, cheddar and my favorite EVERYTHING. They also have a couple different spreads and will toast them too. Oh yea they have great donuts, apple fritters, Danish and other sweet delights. All the ladies are so nice and very Friendly! I happened to be wearing my favorite Red Sox shirt and the manager said "I could have anything I want!" She's definitely at diehard Sox Fan. I can't believe I haven't posted a review for Flanders donuts yet. This is the absolute best old school donut shop In my area. Even the drive thru has a funky old time system to alert the staff that you are there. Two must know facts about this shop are that they are closed on Sunday (stock up before then) and they are cash only. My favorite donut has to be the crumb donut, it's very reminiscent of a coffee cake but with a cake type donut base. Flanders also sells bagels and croissants but I always get the donuts when I go. Make sure to try their coffee too, it's like a good cup of diner coffee. read more
