Got my standard tiramisu boba milk tea drink here and did not disappoint! Fast service, pretty empty, and chill spot with seating. I'd mark this as another good boba spot to go to in Fairfax/near Main St.
no complaints for this Ben gongs location. We were greeted right away and had our drinks done within a reasonable time. Very impressed with the coordination of the team members. My drink was delicious and not something I would have tried but it will now be part of my rotation :) I wouldn't mind if they added another kiosk.
This review is just for the Mango Pomelo Sago which could have been better... my main issue is that the sago is frozen. It wasn't nice and squishy but hard and frozen. I'm sure the other drinks they have are good but not this one. Service is fine and I hope they address this issue with the sago.
The food(drinks) were delicious! Refresh flavors and sweet rich cheese foams are my favorites. Since the order kiosk was out of order that day, ordering at the counter to receiving the drinks was quick (probably less than 5 minutes). The shop was clean, bright, and friendly! Highly recommend!
Great boba texture, foam was really fluffy, and even standard sweetness wasn't "too sweet." Ordering up front was easy and they have an order kiosk if you prefer that. Cute holiday decoration and seems like a good spot for a casual date or hangout.

My seasonal strawberry tea was lots of crushed/chunked strawberry in it making it almost like strawberry milk. Decent boba shop in the sea of shops in Fairfax. Located right next to the 99 Ranch, so I've been eyeing this place for a while when I get groceries. Ordered the tiramisu boba milk tea, which tasted nothing like tiramisu but was still quite tasty. The boba is great texture and the milk tea is good quality. Wish I just ordered their regular milk tea, which would've tasted pretty much the same as the tiramisu and would've been cheaper. 50% sugar for the tiramisu was still very sweet. Cup sizes are kinda small here as well for the price. Very quick service, some indoor seating.
Based on the pricing, I would definitely choose one of their top 10 choices or a specialty drink that is harder to find like a mango pomelo sago. They are generous with their toppings, and the consistency is smooth; definitely a sweet treat. It is probably on the same level as the mango pomelo sago drinks in the 626 area (which is high praise to me). Service is quick and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.
Been looking for a drink similar to Sunright Tea Studio's Summer Frostie, which is a discontinued drink, however I found Ben Gong Tea which had a similar drink called the Passion Fruit Cheese Foam, which was equally good! I don't know if their air conditioning was broken, but it was a little hot. But the drink was amazing!!!!

There is no artificial flavoring or over abundance of additives. Their mango sago is milkier than others I've tried but the fruit was very fresh. The fruit tea comes with actual fruit pieces and they provide a fork to eat them. I had gone during the winter holidays and they had these festive cups. The service is always pleasant and fast. By the time I finished ordering, my drinks were already made. The Annandale and Gaithersburg locations are usually very packed and bustling while the Fairfax location tends to be a quick grab and go. The interiors are always very clean and well maintained. Their drinks are on the pricer side, however, very worth the quality.

Tried their osmanthus rice milk tea for to go. Pretty lovely store with a few seats available. The osmanthus tea tastes pretty good, not too sweet. Also, the store is right next to the 99 ranch, perfect location
The service is quick, inside is clean, but the boba is not really that worth it. I've tried the pudding toppings and without it at the annadale location. We got the basic oolong milk tea w boba ($7) and it kinda tasted store bought quality. If I'm buying boba for that much it should taste more smoother than sediments. It's giving share tea tbh. I think it comes down to a preference- personally I prefer Taiwanese or Korean boba versus Chinese, but the few times I've come here the quality is below average and not worth the price point.
I ordered everything from the kiosk with recommended less sugar levels and less ice. I'm so glad I did, because everything was way too sweet still. The store has spots to sit down but the tables are extremely wobbly and dingy. No music or anything playing inside either so it's very quiet. Almost too quiet and spooky quiet. It didn't help make the time pass quicker waiting for the drinks. My favorite out of all 3 was the sparkling lemon iced tea. Think lipton lemon tea with sprite. Very sweet even at 50% less sweetness level. Just warning yall! Parking is free and Amex taken. It's located right next to 99Ranch. The place only opens after 12pm. read more
My friend was willing to do boba delivery from Ben Gong's Tea without the delivery fee for our hot pot night, so I had to say yes. I haven't had Ben Gong in four years, but I remember liking their tea cubes topping and oolong milk tea. OSAMANTHUS OOLONG MILK TEA - 5.70 +1 for tea cube +no ice, 30% sugar A bit too sweet, but I'm not sure if I would enjoy 0% sugar though. The tea cubes didn't have the strong tea flavor that I remembered, but I love the light chewy texture and prefer it over tapioca. The milk tea was decent, but not a very strong tea flavor which is more of my preference. Overall, I enjoy Ben Gong's Tea more than some of the local options in the area, but I will take the big Chinese chains like HEYTEA and Shuyi over Ben Gong's any day. read more

I had tried the Annandale Ben Gong's Tea, and I liked it, so I thought I would try this location in Fairfax. I got the same, or similar drink - the mango slush with cheese foam. For some reason this location tasted quite a bit worse, or maybe they just had an off day. The slush had more of an artificial taste, not sure why since it should be the same as the other location. I would likely not return to this location. read more

I lovee the guanyin milk tea and jasmine milk tea w boba. The tea flavor is strong and comes through well without being bitter! The brown sugar boba is my favorite topping and the sweetness from the boba is perf with the milk tea. Ben gongs is my fav boba shop in the dmv! read more
A friend has been raving about Ben Gong but she goes to one in DC. I happened to see this location while running errands nearby so thought I'd try it. I'm a huge fan of boba so always excited to try a new place and see if I can add it to my rotation. The space is on the smaller side but there are some tables and seats (two rows of tables fairly close together) so you can sit but probably not great for large groups unless you're ordering to go. I scrolled through the menu at the kiosk. The menu is pretty diverse though so I can see why my friend loves this chain. Many of the drinks have pictures that help you see what you're getting yourself into. There were still quite a few blanks so they may still be working on this though I'm not sure if it's specific to the store or chain. I was also not sure how further modifications would work like if I wanted to add more boba toppings. There's a comment section in the ordering process but I'm assuming there's surcharge for extras so I just left that for next time to figure out. I got the mango pommel smoothie which is in the cheese drink section. Cheese sounds strange in drinks but I thought I would try it and it was pretty good! It makes the drink creamy. The combination was sweet and tart. There were a few other drinks that I want to try so I will definitely be back to a Ben Gong. This location is likely given its proximity to where I run some of errands. read more

Stumbled into this spot after hitting 99 Ranch. Plenty of parking and places to walk if the inside is busy. Menu on the kiosk or with a employee was cool to speed up the queue. Brown sugar boba is delicious and worth the upcharge . read more

First time visit at Ben Gong's Tea. I ordered the Fresh Fruit Green Tea and the Matcha Boba Milk Tea. Overall, both drinks were good. The only small dissatisfaction I would say I had with my fruit green tea drink was that it didn't have as much fruit as pictured on the menu. A little more fruit would have been nice. The tea was mixed with fresh squeezed lemonade which was yummy. With the help staff, I ordered it with 70% less sugar and regular ice, which was perfect. I don't like my drinks to be overwhelmingly sweet and it wasn't. The drink contained ripe watermelon , pineapple , and cantaloupe inside. Like I said, a little more fruit would have been better, but overall good drink. The Matcha Boba Milk Tea was also tasty. That one was ordered with 50% sweetness and regular ice. I would recommend a little more ice if you plan on getting this drink cold. The drink had a quality tasting Matcha flavor, and the boba was perfect, not to soft and not to hard. The staff was very friendly and helpful in helping us pick our drinks and listened to our preferences of sweetness, recommending the right amount for both drinks. Would consider returning to this place. read more

I had every intention of getting Boba inside 99 ranch while I was shopping but the both place there had an issue with their payment system and I was really sad thinking I wasn't going to be able to get any Boba before realizing that Ben Gong's had opened right next-door! I've never been to a Ben Gong's location before so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I loved it! When you first walk in there is a computer screen you can order from, or you can order from the counter. I ordered from the counter bc I'm intimidated by technology. After much deliberation I opted for the Burnt Brown Sugar Boba milk tea. It was delicious! The burnt brown sugar give it an extra caramelize the flavor without adding too much sweetness and the Boba was cooked to perfection--nice and chewy without having too much bite or being too soft. I'm not out this way very often but next time I am I'll be sure to stop by! read more

Located right next to 99 Ranch Market so you parking was a little crazy when I visited on a Saturday afternoon. The store is rather small with limited seating so keep that in mind if you plan to dine in. We were a party of 4 and there was only one table with 4 seats - which was occupied by a couple that was studying... I tried the peach strawberry milk tea and it was very good. Not too sweet and the jelly was very chewy. I am not sure if other Ben Gong locations have the egg waffle because I don't remember seeing it but this store did and it was soooo good. I might go back just for the waffles. read more
I've tried Ben Gong's at least three times now so I thought I'd stray from my typical matcha boba drinks and try a classic tea. I ordered a green tea at its regular sugar level. It was so good and refreshing! Sometimes I really enjoy having the teas on their own so you're able to taste the quality of the leaves. Ben Gong has quite a few different teas they use so I'd definitely want to come back another time to try their osmanthus tea. I think the only downside is the cost of the drinks. The size is pretty small and can cost almost $8 sometimes. It's definitely a more of treat-yourself kind of place. They have a rewards system through their app so I recommend getting that so you can earn points and free drinks! read more

Yummy drinks! I just didn't enjoy the drink that I got (mochi milk tea). A bit pricy and underwhelming. The mushy textures of the mochi and fresh taro combined was not my cup of tea. It also tasted kind of bland. Looks really cool in the cup, though. Service was great and the interior design is super cute and fresh. Will be back to try their other unique drinks! read more

So happy that this location opened up! It's so much more convenient & the staff here are very friendly. I have to say Ben Gong's is one of my favorite places for milk teas. My go-to order is the lychee oolong milk tea (weirdly enough though, this only comes in the regular size in this which I find odd) but the flavor has a perfect balance of tea & fruitiness. I also enjoy their selection of fruit teas when I want something light/refreshing as well as the tiramisu milk tea if I'm feeling something more dessert-ish. They also offer soft serve ice cream and switch up the flavors every so often. Lots of parking in the area and small sit down area inside. Don't forget to download their app to get rewards! read more
I don't usually go for the "sweet-dessert-y" type milk teas, but it was my birthday and I wanted to treat myself to something new! The Tiramisu Milk Tea was actually not too bad. I asked for it to be made less sweet with less ice. Did it taste like a Tiramisu? Not really. But it tasted chocolatey - and we all know I love chocolate! They didn't skimp out on the tapioca. It was nice and warm. The drink itself was a mixture of warm & cold because I asked for less ice. The staff seemed friendly and they made my drink quick! This place isn't the most spacious inside, but it's good enough for you to wait and go. Ps. I spotted one self-service kiosk in the corner by the door you can order from if you don't want to wait to speak to the person at the register. read more
