I had high hopes for Yi Fang given all the buzz, but my experience didn't quite live up to the hype. I ordered the Mango Pomelo with Sago which looked beautiful but fell flat in taste. The fruit wasn't ripe, which made the drink more tart and bland than refreshing. For a drink that relies heavily on fresh mango, that was a big letdown (it could have been that just wasn't in season/hard to come by and they had to work with what they had available). The space itself is clean and bright, and the menu has a wide variety of options. I'd definitely give them another chance in the near future when I'm in the area.
Wow so happy I tried this place on a whim! I was pleasantly surprised with this place and my drink. I ordered the Mango Pomelo Sago. I was kind of scared to try this drink because I am not a big fan of pomelo but I am so glad gave it a chance! I was so good and perfectly balanced. The drink was creamy, fruity, and refreshing. I ordered it 100% sugar because I have a sweet tooth and I loved it lol. The sago was a great consistency and added a great dimension to the drink. I will definitely be back to order it again.
Love the custard pancakes here! Always served warm and the custard inside is so tasty~ My go to drink here is the mango pomelo sago because it's usually very flavorful with fresh mango chunks (would recommend getting less sago because they put a lott). The milk teas are pretty watery with a weak tea flavor, so I would recommend sticking to the fruit teas! The interior is spacious so it's perfect for hanging out or doing work with friends.
Finally, a boba spot that knows tea flavor is the star, not sugar. Got the brown sugar matcha latte at 50% sweet and it was chef's kiss -- the matcha still shined, and the boba had that perfect chewy-but-bouncy texture that made every sip better. The mango sago pomelo drink was just as good -- bright, fruity, and with real pomelo flavor instead of the "mystery tropical" taste some places give you. Sweet enough to be fun, but not so sweet you regret your life choices afterward.
I happened to be shopping at Great Wall and decided I needed a little treat after shopping. YiFang was new to me and I stopped to grab a drink. They have a good selection of items and I went with something different, the taro milk tea that has actual mashed taro in it. I had never tried it before and it was really good. It adds a unique texture and has a mellow, nutty flavor. I probably would have preferred the overall drink to be a little more homogenous, but it's tough to combine it all without losing the taro texture.
Yifang is one of Nova's best dessert spots, a place I frequent often. My go-to drinks are the Mango Pomelo Sago, Taro Latte, and Strawberry Latte, all perfectly balanced at 50% sugar. The staff are always friendly, and the place is clean. I also enjoy their custard bread. The ordering kiosk is very convenient, and drinks are prepared quickly, even when busy.

I've been coming to this place for years, and it's truly one of my go-to spots. I have my own unique drink order: Songbo Mountain Tea, no sugar, ice-free, with triple green tea jelly and honestly, only the manager and one other staff member consistently make it exactly right. They never disappoint. The drinks are always fresh, well-balanced, and made with care. You can tell they really know what they're doing and pay close attention to detail. The shop itself is always clean, organized, and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. I love that they remember regular customers and genuinely take pride in what they serve. That kind of consistency is hard to find, and it's exactly why I keep coming back. Highly recommend if you're looking for quality drinks and great service. read more

I wanted to try this place because of the great reviews. The shop is cute, and there is a good amount of seating. My drink came out pretty fast. I ordered from a kiosk but you can order in person as well. I ended up getting the mango pomelo drink and added cheese foam. The cheese foam is pretty good, but maybe a little sweeter than I would like. It didn't necessarily add anything to this drink in my opinion so I would probably leave it off next time. I had never had sago before. I think it was not bad but I prefer something with more texture like boba. The slush part was really good and had a slight coconut flavor which was nice, and it tasted very fresh. While I liked the drink, if I could I would get that slush with boba instead of sago. I think it could be that I just don't love sago that much, not that the sago is necessarily bad here. But I would need to try more sago from other places to make that determination. I think I would come back here again. read more
The fruit tea was really good!!!! But I wouldn't recommend the milk tea. I it came out very warm like hot tea that cooled down. Not sure if the ice melted from the temperature or if they didn't put enough ice. The milk tea had to get returned but they said they couldn't replace it with a fruit tea so they remade it, but it still wasn't great. Eric ordered the mango fruit tea which was refreshing and delicious. Overall, service was alright. They were helpful enough to attempt to make remake it, but I think the milk tea there just isn't great in my personal opinion. I ended up not drinking the milk tea and throwing it out. The interior was nice, plenty of seating, clean, and a casual spot. Drinks came out fairly quick, but it was fairly empty. read more
My go to order at Yu Fang is the mango pomelo sago. The Yi Fang fruit tea is pretty good too. Sometimes after my son's Tae Kwon Do, when we get a craving for some refreshing drinks, we stop by here and get our thirst quenched with some Yi Fang. read more

I love the ambiance of this place, it is very nice to catch up with friends. Service was pretty quick, which I appreciated. I did think the boba was a bit overcooked though, but the tea itself was good. read more

This is a cute quick spot that I go to after I shop at Great Wall. I have yet to find a drink I love at this spot, but their milk tea is good. I liked getting it with red bean and boba. It was sweet but tasty! The service is always quick and efficient read more

My group of 6 came in for tea and we found a large table in the back that was perfect! Not much other good seating for large groups. Anyway the tea was good and there were lots of different flavor options. A little on the pricier side. My large oolong tea with boba was $6-7. read more

Found a Taiwanese bubble tea place with pancake dessert. Liked the chill environment and friendly service with an option to order via the kiosk. Ordered a grass jelly bubble tea with taro pancake; good way to cleanse our palate after a greasy dinner. read more

This place is nice inside with cute decor and lots of seating. It's clean, the service is quick, and you order through a kiosk. One of my issues was the inconsistent menu. The menu online is different than the one in the store, which is also different from what is on the kiosk. Even though we decided what we wanted from the in-store menu, many items were sold out on the kiosk. I ended up ordering the mango fruit tea, which tasted fine but wasn't what I expected. The drink was thicker and sweeter than what you think of for a fruit tea at any other boba place. It was more like mango nectar from the store and I had to cut it with water once I made it home. read more

I was excited to come to this location. I've only tried it when I was in Vancouver and loved it so I had somewhat high expectations. Parking lot had plenty of parking and is located a few stores down from the Great Wall Supermarket. You have two options to place your order in store, via kiosk or at the register. We went straight for the original Yi Fang Fruit Tea at 30% sugar and the Fresh Taro Green Tea Latte both with pearls. Both were very solid. The Fruit Tea was flavorful and not too suite. You can tell that the Taro Green Tea latte was made with actual taro, also a great flavor. Their pearls are solid, not too soft or sweet. They have very fast service despite how busy they get sometimes. This is definitely going into my boba/drink location when we're in the area. Hopefully that ramen vending machine gets set up one day! read more
Came in after dinner for a boba fix... my friend and i ordered the strawberry latte and passion fruit tea. Both were really good and satisfied our cravings. We didn't interact much with staff due to ordering on the kiosk but the drinks were made fast. I loved the vibe of this place. It's a great place to catch up with friends over boba. read more
There's no doubt that this is a welcome addition to the shopping center. With the new Great Wall Supermarket there's a lot more options than there was many years ago. This was on my list for sometime because of one thing that sparked my curiosity; the Ramen Vending Machine. While this may be normal in different places, I couldn't hold my excitement for the day I'd be able to over spend my budget on ramen that's from a vending machine. Unfortunately my ambitious dreams came to an end when I went here and found out that the machine was off and was not working. It is what it is I guess. I didn't want my disappointment to get to me so I opted for the alternative; a nice refreshing drink since I'm already here. I got the Green Tea Jelly with Lemon Green Tea. Say that like 5 times, it's like a tongue twister honestly. My drink wasn't sweet but it was a tad sour. With less ice and less sugar I wanted more of that intense lemon flavor. Sometimes I just don't really want a Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Boba. That's my go to but I could use less calories from boba anyways.. the drink is great, jelly is always a better alternative and not spending more for less ice is always a plus for me. This place has ample seating. Great if you like to work on your computer or if you just want to hang out with friends; it's very spacious. There's a big table in the back for parties bigger than 6 people too. This place might as well be a gem if you want fruit tea over milk tea. I'm back! And this time I did get the red bean black tea latte... (less ice, 50% sweetness, oatmilk, and NO tapioca). Absolute bliss! I am a huge red bean fan, so if you are too then this is a great drink for you. I like sweet drinks, but lately I've been opting for 50% at most boba shops to try and cut back on my obscene sugar consumption and also to enjoy my boba's more fully. Sometimes if it's too sweet (or normal 100% sweetness in this case), the more subtle flavors get lost. Glad I did so... with both drinks. Yes. I ordered both a red bean black tea latte and a fresh taro latte all for myself! so good! Yi Fang was super busy around the time we dropped by. Service quickly got drinks out to people though so the flow of costumers was constant yet smooth. The rest of my group ordered a strawberry latte (which I was eyeing the whole time, looked delicious), a lemon green tea fruit juice, and finally a brown sugar pearl matcha. Everyone loved their drinks! Can't wait to be back in the area to get another drink again.... read more

Excellent! A friend recommended we try Yi Fang and I'm so glad we did! Indoor seating is available and the ambiance is laid back. Their menu has a lovely variety of teas. The cashier was super sweet, helpful, and patient. Restrooms in the back are clean enough. Our order was neatly wrapped up and ready to go. Their teas are delicious! Quality ingredients are used. They are incredibly refreshing and flavorful. Definitely give their pancakes a try, they are dangerously addicting. There are 5 flavors: Original, Cheese, Custard, Bubble Tea, and Taro. I'm so glad we got a chance to try Yi Fang out and can't wait to come back! read more

This place is consistently good! I frequent the yifang in LA and was super happy to find one near my family. I always gets the lemon mountain tea with less sugar and ice. It's delicious and tastes the same as other yifangs! My friend got the wintermelon lemonade, it was the perfect level of sweetness and the quality of tea shined through! Service was speedy and it wasn't too crowded for a Sunday afternoon. There was plenty of seating while we waited for our drinks. Easy parking outside, I will be back when visiting family! read more

Yi Fang is my nephew's favorite dessert place. He loves the mango pomelo sago bubble tea and cheese pancake. He slurped the entire large drink (50% less sweet) QUICKLY. I liked the MPS-- love the mango flavor, didn't get much pomelo but still good. Also loved the real mango chunks. It's recommended to get 50% sweet and I agree but a little sweeter would also be good. Cheese pancakes come out fast and scalding hot. read more

Best boba place in DMV! Quality ingredients. I have tried a few of their drinks (red bean sago, mangocado, strawberry latte, fruit teas) and they are all delicious! Clean minimal interior with about 7 tables. You can either order at the kiosk or at the counter. I just wish their rewards system is a bit more rewarding. I'm a weekly customer and it takes a few months to rack up points in order to get a free drink. read more
Located in a strip mall, Yi Fang is a Taiwanese tea shop that I have grown to like over the past year or so. I've been there a few times and each time I was greeted by friendly young people behind the register. The shop is quite spacious, despite never seeing it busy. I usually go on weekday evenings and it seems like most customers just order to go. Their menu offers a good enough variety or fruity and milk drinks, as well as "pancakes" in the shape of a bubble tea drink. The pancakes take a few minutes to cook, but are quite tasty. Drinks-wise, I would only order something that you can't get at any bubble tea place. Whenever I have ordered something typical like coffee jelly latte or taro oolong tea, I wasn't a fan. However, getting mango pomelo sago or purple rice red bean coconut latte has left me satisfied. I also tried the avocado passion fruit smoothie and while I did like the taste, it was upsetting that they wouldn't adjust the ice level for this drink. All in all, I wouldn't mind going back for certain drinks. read more

First time here at Yi Fang, and since I was in the area, why not get a nice beverage on a hot day! The Drinks: I went with the "Yakult Pineapple Green Tea" since anything Yakult mixed into it will be good no matter what, in my opinion. But, the Pineapple green tea mixed with the yakult was absolutely delicious! Refreshing, and full of flavor. The Service: Service was great! Staff were friendly and got my order out in a timely manner. The Atmosphere: The space was nice and clean. Very spacious with plenty of seating to hang out with friends. Plenty of parking as well. Overall, a 5/5! the drinks were delicious, had a great variety of mixes and was nice and clean. Would definitely recommend. read more
Hi Fang originated from Taiwan and it's refreshing to see its now in NOVA! A lot selections but some of the flavors in Taiwan aren't available like herbal tea. I would say the choices are more the popular ones. Great seating inside , friendly and quick service. read more

The first time I tried Yi Fang was in SF in 2019 and I remember it being the first time seeing one and trying it out. I honestly can't tell you the how good it was except for the fact that I finished it all within 3 minutes. Oops...! It was delicious. Fast forward to trying to find a cafe to work from, and there on the map we saw Yi Fang. The ambiance is so very calm: love the wooden aesthetic with plants around. Since we were there for two hours we ordered two items: 1. Coconut Oolong Milk Tea with Taro and Sago -tasted like a Filipino dessert, like an Ube macapuno dessert with sago. Not too sweet, just perfect combo of flavors at the right sweetness. They didn't put too much sago, so if you like a higher drink ratio, choose sago as your topping (I do like more toppings so I won't do sago next time). If you're unfamiliar, sago are teeny tiny tapioca balls. Note: they use real taro shreds, so if you're looking for your artificial taro powder, this is something else! 2. Sugarcane Mountain Tea (added salty cream and crystal boba) -oh my... did I just find the best sweet and savory drink combo out there?! The sweetness comes from the crystal boba and the sugarcane, which pair nicely and the savory comes from the salty cream and the strongly brewed mountain tea. As much as I wanted to finish it in 3 minutes like the very first Yi Fang tea that I had back in 2019, but I did my best to savor it Ooh, what stood out about this place is that they have a RAMEN MACHINE?! Yeah...unheard of. My partner ordered a spicy dandan ramen bowl and it was super fun to witness grabbing a perfectly hot ramen from a machine as well as chopsticks. The broth was 5/10 but the ingredients inside were surprisingly fresh for being packaged which was a 9/10 from me. If you're vegetarian, this works out since these ramens are plant based! If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try! read more
