Great tea top inside the 99 Ranch in Frisco. I've gotten the Golden Sesame Milk Slush both times I've gone because it's so good, but I do want to go try some of their other drinks because they look great. There was no one at the counter when I got there but you order on an iPad & the moment your order is in, someone came out immediately to make it.
A Ben's Gong Tea? In VA, this is a solid boba sweet treat drink spot. I got their mango pomelo sago and it's a consistent drink across their locations. Nice people and conveniently located in the super market.
This is a bubble tea shop located within 99 Ranch Asian market. I got Osmanthus boba with osmanthus jello. It's okay. The bubbles are too warm (as if they put them in my milk tea as soon as they were done boiling them). I wish the bubbles could be cooler. Though the bubbles are chewy to my liking. This is quite an average bubble tea shop. Nothing exciting really.
Located inside Ranch 99 I'd say Ben Gong is similar to Moontea in San Jose offering the Da Hong Pao milk tea and Osmanthus milk tea This shop does get pretty popular as I saw a lot of to-go orders being prepared and I think some stuff had sold out too Da Hong Pao milk tea and Osmanthus milk tea were good -- floral and refreshing, the tea leaves were steeped well too Go check it out!
I stopped by as I was craving a mango pomelo sago. The shop is a counter located near the entrance/exit of a supermarket, and while not many were sitting in the small seating area, the staff seemed to be pretty busy with to-go and online orders. The mango pomelo drink was a good level of sweetness, though (as pictured) it could have used a little more mango in the mix. Prices are fairly high for the quantity, but it was a solid 4/5 drink overall.
After a delightful revolving sushi bar dinner, Pookie and I shared a passion fruit sparkling drink with mango boba, less sugar, and less ice because we were stuffed to the brim with sushi. We loved it! Visually appealing, light yet flavorful. We ordered on a kiosk, and sat for bit on their cute seating area. Service was quick. It was a tasty way to end the day!
One of my friends recommended Ben Gong's Tea and I had it bookmarked for months. Glad I finally tried it. I got the passion fruit cheese slush ( refreshing after eating FOGO) and Mango Pomelo Sago ( makes me want to visit Vietnam again) Both drinks were at 100% sweetness which is what our bobarista recommended after I clarified with her. Its the perfect amount of sweetness ~~40-50% tasting vs others. The Toppings, aka the bottom goodies are all A GAME. All cooked perfectly. This boba shop is unique and in the books for another run. and for myself to try one of their milky series next.
Quality boba located inside 99ranch. Place to grab over before or after shopping. There is good seating but wouldn't play board games or stay too long here as it is inside the grocery store..
It was my first time at the Little Tea spot BenGong's Tea inside the Frisco 99 Ranch market. Drinks are carefully made, rich in flavor, and so refreshing. I ordered their classic Burnt brown sugar boba tea with regular sweetness; the tea was milky and creamy in a way that would keep me drinking forever. The boba was perfectly chewy The ambiance was good. This place has a small sitting area to have your tea and enjoy. The service was good staff was friendly. I would go back to try their other options.
ORDER - Mango Pamelo Sago - Strawberry Peach Soda - Purple Taro Fresh Milk The Mango Pamelo Sago was creamy and rich. I couldn't taste much of the Sago, but I haven't had a lot of Mango Pamelo Sago at other places to judge. If I had to compare it to a drink, the Mango Pamelo Sago tastes like the yellow mung bean that's in a lot of Vietnamese Desserts like che. The Strawberry Peach Soda is perfect for the summer. I really liked the carbonation level and the hint of strawberry and peach. There are little chunks of strawberry as well as slices of lime that make the drink very refreshing. If I'm not mistaken, there is also some jelly substance (maybe agar? idk?) that adds some fun to the drink. The Purple Taro Fresh Milk has taro chunks that were more on the gritty side. The boba was chewy and good and overall a pretty decent taro drink. Overall, I would say that the place is decent. They definitely have quality drinks, but I would note that it is a bit on the pricier side, especially for the milk teas. It ranges from upper $5-$7 for a pretty small cup too which is a little disappointing. VIBES Ben Gong's Tea is located inside 99 Ranch within a strip of lots of cool Asian eats. Inside, there are a few tables (4 or 5?) and it's tucked in the front corner of 99 Ranch. Since it is in a grocery store, the place is a little on the louder side; however, a great place to chill with friends for a bit and even catch up with people you happen to know at the grocery store! SERVICE The drinks came out fast, but other than that, not too much to comment on.
I love this place! It has delicious boba. I have been here quite a number of times. However, sometimes the workers are in the back and once, after I ordered in the kiosk, they took a long time to figure out an order had been placed.
Osmanthus Oolong milk tea with Boba is unique and amazing! Look how pretty the cup is and I love the top that can be sealed if needed! This tea shop is inside 99 ranch which is great to have a drink while your waiting for your food to be made or while your food shopping. We also tried the brown sugar milk with boba, strawberry cream slush, and lemon jasmine tea!

Making excellent tea isn't only about the tea leaves quality but also the process involved (temperature of water when you put the tea in, if it's fresh tea do you throw away the first tea batch) and the water quality. You plant same tea in different places, the taste could be different depending on the soil and water quality. Bengong is famous for its excellent quality tea. No other place in DFW comes close to Bengong's tea. Peach Oolong Milk Tea 5/5 it has some toppings inside which I couldn't tell what they were. The cups were not see through so I couldn't tell. The drink was just great. The topping Tasted somewhat like crystal jelly but I wasn't sure. You can feel the fragrance in your mouth when drinking it. Osmanthua Rice Milk Tea 6/5 I have always loved osmanthus flowers. My grandpa used to have the tree in his yard and I love it. It's extremely fragrant. This drink, you drink it , in the mouth it's not that fragrant but when you swallow it, the fragrance comes out of your throat. Super good. Inside there's crystal jelly, rice and pudding / jelly. Peach yakult tea 5/5 Fresh great quality. It's sour, sweet and fragrant. Da Hong Pao Oolong Tea 5/5 It's super good, strong tea but it's not unique. This is very common tea and few other places in DFW has Oolong Tea too. The fragrance of Bengong tea lingers in the mouth and throat for couple minutes. Many drinks at Bengong are unique just to Bengong. Can't find them elsewhere. Drink containers are pretty and high quality. I get why so many people line up for their drinks. Warning : for tea, don't go for 50% sugar or 75% sugar. It will be bland. The sugar standard here is Asian standard. By default Bengong is sweet enough for Asians. I always get 100% sugar here, but get 50% at Onezo and 25% at Kungfu Tea/ Sharetea. If you are Americans with sweet tooth, get 150% sugar. For other drinks like slush, I don't know bc I mostly stick to tea. Strawberry yakult tea at regular sugar level maybe a tad too sweet for some folks. This chain comes from China, so most customers here are FOBs not ABCs. Other Asian ethnicities may not like this place as much, I get it. It caters mostly to the Chinese ppl. Asian tea tastes different from American tea. My whole family loves Bengong too. Until there's another great chain from Asia coming into DFW area, this is my go-to place to get flavored tea drinks.
Drinks: Had this in California and remember it being great, so was excited to come across this location. Ordered the Jasmine Latte and Mango Pomelo Sago; however, both were just OK--the tea flavor in the Jasmine Latte was a bit fainter than I recall, and would have preferred a bit more of the fruit in the Mango Pomelo Sago. Service: Self-service--you order through a kiosk. Drinks come out pretty quickly upon ordering. Ambiance: Situated inside of the 99 Ranch market, with a small, casual seating area. Really convenient spot, especially since it's located inside 99 Ranch Market. I was able to order my boba, get it within about 5 minutes, and then continue shopping around the store, which was super nice. The drink itself was very tasty. I liked that the sweetness and ice levels were adjustable, and they got it just right for me. Only small note is that the boba was a little softer than I personally prefer, but overall still a great drink. Would definitely come back! read more
I'm a sucker for seasonal fruits like winter melon at Wanpos tea shop so I knew I had to get their winter pear tea. The winter pear sweet soup is served hot and tasted mildly sweet (0% sugar added), slightly floral and very comforting. The staff was quick and the atmosphere was nice in this tea shop. This location is in 99 ranch and it's usually not busy. Next time I'll ask for no bobas since it popped (from the heat?) and the texture was weird, like eating boba skin. I may add some sweetness to see if it deepens the flavor too. They also have osmanthus which is a big hit in Queens (NYC) so I will need to try that next and compare too. read more

I got the specialty brown sugar boba milk tea because it was the most popular item on the kiosk menu. The milk tea was really rich and tasty, though even at 100% sweetness, it wasn't very sweet. Usually, I wouldn't like that, but the sweet brown sugar boba balanced it out perfectly and kept me wanting more. They have so many different milk tea and fruit drink flavors, so I'll definitely be back to try more! read more

The first time I came here I had a strawberry cream slush andn it was divine. Literally so creamy and refreshing and sent from the Gods. The crystal lychee boba inside is the perfect pairing with the strawberry! Today was my 2nd time in and I had a Uji Matcha boba milk tea because it was the first piture I saw on the TVmenu screen when I walked in. It was SO GOOD. I didn't take a picture because I devoured it,lol. read more

A tea and boba shop gem right as you enter 99 Ranch! They feature strong teas and unique toppings and marked themselves as "Chinese Style Tea"! I got the 2nd most popular drink - the Peach Oolong Tea which comes with the Highland Barley topping (no ice, 75% sweetness). The lady who took my order was super thoughtful and told me that they sweeten their drinks to Asian-sweetness standards (not that sweet) so the 75% was a delicate touch of sweetness and the perfect amount for me (I usually do 50% at KungFuTea). First time trying barley as a topping (my go to is boba) and I really love it!! It's a natural alternative to crystal/popping boba and fit the tea flavor very nicely. I loved the peach oolong tea too - strong tea flavor but lightly brewed. Overall, very impressed and will return! read more

Unfortunately the items I wanted to try weren't available that day, so I decided to go with a classic Burnt Brown Sugar Boba Tea. The worker told me that they don't put much sweetness in the drink, which she was definitely right haha. This is probably the only time I've ever thought a boba tea *wasn't* sweet enough. They don't add much ice to their drinks either. However, I loved the way they cooked the tapioca pearls. The drink was more expensive than average. read more
I've had this place bookmarked since it opened. I've been wanted to try the taro with purple rice since I love cow cow in hawaii and this boba place had purple rice. I ordered the Taro milk tea and added purple rice. It wasn't crowded at all but took 10 mins to receive my drink. When i got my drink they forgot the purple rice and had to add it in. It was ok. Taste like milk with a very very light hint of taro. I can't barely taste any flavor. Seem watered down. It cost .75 cent extra to add purple rice and there was barely any in the drink. Pretty pricey for the size of the cup. $7 and was disappointed. read more

Entering into the most competitive boba market in Frisco, Ben Gong places itself in one of the most convenient locations: right inside Ranch 99; making it easily accessible before shopping or after check out. As they just opened, it's hard not to notice them (right when you walk into Ranch 99, there's a line that stretches from their counter to the entrance's sliding doors). Their menu offers a wide selection of drinks, but they only have 2 laminated menus at the front counter so ordering is most likely going to go slow until they make wall menus (if they ever do). The drinks come out quickly after ordering, even on a busy day like today (Saturday afternoon). The service is friendly. As for the quality of the drinks, I think they're fairly bland. Both the yakult and taro drinks lacked a strong punch of the yakult/taro flavor. Their tea also is not as aromatic as their competitors (literally right around the corner, in every direction). Their boba was soft all the way through, not the QQ (chewy) kind but was pleasantly sweet. I do prefer boba that is QQ though. The tall cup has a nice sturdy feel to it, and I like that there is a straw hole (I am one of those who manages to screw up inserting a boba straw through those plastic wrap lids). If Ben Gong had chosen a less competitive area to open, say Prosper, or even just another area of Frisco that doesn't already have 5 other boba shops within a half mile, they'd have more of an edge. Nevertheless, it's nice and convenient to have a boba tea store inside Ranch 99. read more

I enjoyed the cheesefoam on my jasmine tea, but the tea was bitter. Not sure if it was oversteeped or not fresh, but it wasn't my favorite. The tapioca pearls were cooked well. The service was good, but I did have to wait a while before someone took my order. My main complaint is the price. I paid $7.85 for this drink whereas other places charge about 6.50. Maybe I should've gotten a menu item they are better known for. Maybe I will give another try! read more
Milk tea was pretty good but wish that the tea flavor was a bit stronger but the boba had a nice chew to them with right amount of sweetness. The lemon golden oolong fruit tea though was more of sparkling soda with lime though, and not what I expected at all. read more

Came here today with a friend after a quick Daiso run! The vibes were nice, as it was in a chill corner of 99 ranch so my friend and I were able to sit down and have a nice chat without so much noise or commotion interrupting us. The drinks themselves looked pretty, but I found them to be a little bland. It might just be my personal taste to prefer drinks on the sweeter end, however. I'd recommend this place if you like your teas to taste light and not as sweet! read more

I am a huge boba fan, so when one opened up in this prime spot...I definitely had to try it. This was very popular in CA. I may have been too excited or had my expectations high going in because I wasn't completely happy with my order. There is always a line and I'm unsure if its due to the right space being located inside 99 Ranch where Blackball use to be or if it was just grand opening rush. We ordered Mango Pomelo Sago and Oolong Super Fruit Cup. I had everything regular sugar. The mango drink was alright, I hardly tasted the pomelo at all. It was mainly mango and sago. It's nice that they didn't cheap out on sago. It was a very creamy rich drink. The Oolong Super Fruit Cup was extremely disappointing. We asked what was in fruit cup because we thought it would be similar to fruit teas we had at other locations. It was literally just tea with real chunks of watermelon and pineapple with lime slice. My husband would describe this drink as a little kid's fruit cup and someone poured tea on it. Lastly, we were most disappointed how the wait was handled. The staff was all over the place with tickets. With four staff members making drinks, they were not really coordinated. We waited about 15 minutes for our drink. We had people who ordered after us get their drinks before us. One couple ordered only one so we figured that's why, but then second group of people ordered 3 drinks and they got it before us. We were so confused that we even asked about ticket number to get status. The ticket number of order didn't seem to matter. Hopefully, this is maybe just some things they are still learning since the spot has just opened. Unfortunately, in the location they are at, I rather go to nearby boba spots in same plaza like 7leaves or even across the street to YiFang or Vivi's. read more

Wow, most swanky & delish bubble tea I've had to date. The red bean boba drink I got was not only visually appealing but the gentle hint of creamy cheesecake like flavor in the end topped off the experience. The cup is designed for easy holding and it didn't sweat! The well designed lid had a placeholder for the stopper, I was so impressed! So many layers went into this drink from presentation to different the experiences as you progress consumption. I will definitely return and the drinks are well worth the price. read more

Pretty solid choice for Boba if you're in the Frisco area of Warren and Preston. Located right inside Ranch 99 and has a pretty nice seating area as well. Also lots of other food options inside the grocery store. read more

It's a must try! Never would think the drinks would be this good being inside 99 Ranch Market, but the sesame and matcha drinks were amazing. Very perfect to drink while doing some grocery shopping. read more
