This is a really good breakfast spot. Come today Sunday morning around 1030. They told us about a 20 minute wait for a party of 2. Place was packed but I think we got a booth a little before the 20 was up. Was promptly greeted and a server came over quickly. I orders the master's plate with ham and pancakes plus a side of biscuits and grits. I wanted to try a lot since I don't live here lol my friend got a spinach and onion omelet with toast, grits and a waffle. Everything was really good. Nothing to complain about. Grits were the perfect consistency. Pancakes fluffy. Eggs and ham cooked right. My homie said his meal was good also and since he lives near he will be back a lot. Good spot nice location. My friends were staying with me from out of town and we had breakfast/brunch here on a Saturday. There were several groups waiting but we were seated within about 15 mins or so. We tried Birdies for the very first time, and really loved the atmosphere, friendly service, and the food. The restaurant itself felt bright, absolutely precious in design, and the staff were very friendly & helpful. We felt that our breakfast was good. My only note is that the breakfast ham was a little over-salted, and my eggs (ordered over medium) had no apparent seasoning. The omelette was good, and so were the pancakes! Of all the food items, the two items that wowed us were the biscuits & the breakfast potatoes! Both shockingly good. The biscuits were fluffy and soft on the inside & buttery with a subtle crisp on the outside. I'm not sure I've ever had a better biscuit from any brunch/breakfast establishment. We'll absolutely be back again, and will be sure to order more biscuits! Four Stars because it was a mostly wonderful experience, with a few misses with regard to seasoning / flavor in the: omelette, hash browns, eggs, and ham. First time here for a Friday breakfast and this place was packed, which is usually a good sign and in this case it mostly was. I went with the Eggs Benedict and my wife ordered an omelette. Overall, the food was really good. The hollandaise on the benedict was solid but not quite great. The scallions were a little heavy handed and overpowered some of the other flavors, but nothing that ruined the dish. The pancakes were actually excellent. Fluffy, flavorful, and probably the best thing we had. I'll still try something different next time, but they definitely know what they're doing there. Service was a standout. The owner was clearly very involved and had no problem jumping in wherever needed to support the staff. That kind of leadership shows and it made the whole experience smoother, especially with how busy it was. Only real downside is parking. Being right off 380 makes it a bit of a hassle, especially during a busy morning. Would absolutely go back and will. Solid food, great service, and a place that feels well run. Came in for a brunch on a Sunday. There was a 30 minute wait but we were lucky enough to find a spot at the bar. I got the avocado toast with salmon and it was so delicious. Also enjoyed a mimosa. The restaurant is in a busy growing neighborhood so the location is good. Parking was easy unless of course it's a busy day. Sat next to a regular that said this is one of his favorite spots. It was basically 2 squares of fake cheese that I scraped out of the flat omelet. Disgusting. If you're going to charge these prices, at least make sure you use high quality ingredients. My go to spot. We love Birdie's. A bit on the costly side but really you can split any plate between 2-3 people lol. You get great service and delicious food I have never had a bad meal here. The regular staff here are amazing and attentive and go above and beyond for every customer. I will say I try my best to avoid new hires because I have my favs lol but that's just me. Gets SUPER busy for lunch and on weekends it's hectic with a 20-30min wait, so keep that in mind. We love how the decorate every part of the restaurant for holidays and it gives such a cozy vibe. The place was busy with lots of locals, evidence of its popularity, but we were able to get a large booth right away. The extensive menu has lots of the traditional breakfast and brunch items, all prepared in a unique and flavorful way. The portions are large, and every one of us had an amazing meal. The service was exceptional, very attentive and checking in on us frequently, but not overbearing. My selection of eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes and two enormous pancakes were wonderful, and the side of bacon was excellent. The coffee was just right, fresh and hot, and refilled frequently. As we sat waiting to be seated, quite a few people were leaving and it was obvious that they had a good experience. Not so much us. First of all, the food was great. I had Chicken fried steak, hash brown and eggs. The steak was made from scratch and was delicious, as were the eggs and potatoes. My wife had poached eggs, fruit, bacon and pancakes. She agreed that her was delicious too. Now for the service. Our service wasn't great. We ordered drinks and meal. We both had cups of regular coffee. My wife uses cream and the table was out of those little cups of coffee creamers. My wife asked our server if she could bring a couple. We waited a while and I finally grabbed a couple off an empty table. She finally brought them after we had completed our meal. She never checked on us to see if everything was Ok. We both sat our coffee cups on the edge of our table. Alas, no coffee refill for us. Part of the problem was that she spent most of her time at a table of 5 gentlemen about her age. I'm not implying anything. We got lousy service partly because she was at that table. She finally came to our table to clear some dishes. I asked for our check. After a few minutes she brought our check. We immediately put our credit card with it and put it on the edge of our table so she could see it. Didn't help. She kept going back to the table of guys. In fact, she walked past us 7 times going to that table. We kept looking for a manager to speak with. We never did see one. Apparently the kids were running the place. We finally paid and, as we were walking out, one of the hosts asked if we would like to take coffee with us. No thanks. We did not see anyone else looking disgruntled. People were enjoying themselves. It seems that our server was the only problem. As I mentioned, the food was good. We will probably go back.... someday. A birdie flew over to me and told me this place had a variety of gluten free breakfast items. From pancakes to Belgian waffles and even french toast, I had a few decisions to make. Amongst other items clarified on the menu with a GF, VG and so forth. We got seated right away upon our 1130am arrival. Lots of booths and tables in this small little nook. Waitress came right away and grabbed our order. I got the gf french toast with a side of country potato's and my mom got regular french toast. I ate it all, it was that good.. however it didn't come with butter or the powdered sugar on it like the regular one did (would have been nice). I did take some butter from my moms and it made the french toast a lot better too. Potatoes were a little bland, could have used some spices but they came out hot and you get a big portion as a side. Overall food, service and ambiance was great. It does get a bit loud in their the more it fills up, so be prepared to yell a little just to have a conversation. **I will say my only complaint is that the menu doesn't say there is chai tea available but as I was leaving there was a chalk board sign that said they did. 3rd time is a charm am I right? Service is still up to par happy to admit. Food is as well however my mom felt the shrimp and grits could have been better without as much cajun sauce on it. My parents said the regular coffee did taste a bit burnt with the initial cup so hoping for a better cup next time. I try a new latte every visit and the Cookie Butter latte was recommended by the waitress and is definitely a new love. This and the tiramisu are up there for me. Always piping hot so be careful and on the less sweet side and stronger espresso. My son had to go potty and the restrooms are insanely pristine i didn't feel discouraged seeing as it's kept spotless. One of the cleanest bathrooms almost cleaner than Buc-ee's. My 10 yo had the little birdie combo and she gave it a 4.5/5 because the pancake was TOO big Wife gives it a 5 and I also give a 5 the lemon pancakes were the right amount of lemon in them.
