We love Detour Doughnuts! I live about 45 minutes from here so going often is tough but we like to come for special occasions. I came for an event one time & knew I had to bring my husband back to try it. I loved it even more the second time & he now asks every weekend to drive out there. I got the mascarpone coffee. I didn't even know that was a thing. It was my new favorite coffee! My husband got a lemonade & really enjoyed it. Not pictured here are the donut holes. I really appreciate the mini apple fritters. I've never ordered them until Detour Doughnuts because I won't eat a big one. They are the perfect size and delicious. So are the regular doughnuts holes. I think the brown sugar cinnamon roll might be the best donut I've ever had. It was fantastic! But truly all of them are great. I love the texture & flavor of everything I've tried. I appreciate that their pricing is clearly marked & set up for different portion sizes. It is a bit more expensive than normal donut shops but they are also more specialized than a basic donut. For what it is, I didn't think it was overpriced. The restaurant is small but people are pretty polite about space & not hanging out too long. The customer service was excellent! We had a good time chatting with the employee that helped us. My husband's a jokster & she handled him really well. 10 out of 10 recommended! We'll be back for sure! read more

Amazing donut shop! The wonderful selection of fresh donuts and coffees and lemonades make this shop a wonderful detour and pit stop for a little pick me up. So many different and unique options on donuts with a constant cycle of new flavors and combinations. The staff is incredibly friendly and the space has a cozy area for seating. Before, I walked in you can smell the delicious bake good aroma. The bakery, it is really beautiful inside, nice seating area, charisma and all. Their is a variety of donuts to choose from, also in beverages, breakfast sandwiches and all. Lilly and Scott are the best employees, with beautiful, professional personalities and smiles as well. I have yet to try any donuts that I purchased, but the strawberry matcha, which is complimentary from the Yelp Event, is top tier! I love my matcha flavor and this one really hit the spot. I almost wanted to buy one but I had to hold on to myself till next time. The Goth Latte was very interesting - basically it's Vanilla Latte with Charcoal flavor. I am glad I ordered. Look at the different unique flavor options they have, they use oak cliff coffee roasters for their coffee and the people that work there are very sweet! I came in on a weekday noontime, and I was greeted by the sweet worker Lynn! She was very patient with us since we couldn't decide on which flavors to get! We finally decided on mini blueberry goat cheese, mini chocolate banana, and pistachio matcha. The pistachio matcha had such great depth of matcha flavor! It had a lovely balance of sweetness as well. The blueberry goat cheese had a wonderfully rich blueberry flavor to it! Loved the chocolate banana as well! Really enjoy going here! I feel like you can't go wrong here, but the creme brûlée and chocolate ones are always good (they use tempered chocolate instead of the usual glaze). Go early if you want the minis! I wish they had more of the mini doughnuts We tried the Ube Oreo, Mango sticky rice, neopolitan, tiramisu, and creme brûlée. They were all good. I think mango sticky rice might have been my least favorite only because I'm picky on the type of mango used, but it was still good! Will be back to try more! We finally got the chance to visit to Detour Donughnuts and Coffee. The people working here are super sweet! We went in on a Sunday morning, and it was busy! By 9:30 am, a lot of their more popular donuts were already sold out! A lot of people order ahead of time online for pick-up. We ordered the pumpkin mascarpone (not pictured, lemon raspberry donut eyeball, and apple fritters. The donuts themselves were pretty pricey ($6 for 1 donut). The apple fritters were 6 for $3. Overall, we had a good experience! The Pumpkin Mascarpone was unique (loved the pumpkin filling), and delicious! The Lemon Raspberry Donut tasted like a regular jelly donut! Wish there was more lemon flavor. My favorite were the apple fritters! The shop is small (a few tables indoors). It's a cute little coffee shop. From the outside it doesn't look big, and that says the same thing about the inside as well. There are only about 4 seating areas in the inside. When you walk in, you are greeted by nice employees and a pastry section with lots of baked goods. The mini donuts that we had tasted great. There are lots to choose from so no doubt I would come back just for the pastry's. The coffee itself was fine. My wife got the salted caramel latte. She said it tasted sweet, so if you are a sweet person this would be for you. She prefers something a little stronger. Myself, I had a black cold brew. It was decent. Every time I come home to visit my parents, I always try to stop by to get a donut from here. Recently I popped in because I saw they had their apple cider donuts and these reminded me of an upscale version of the ones you get in the northeast. I'm so glad they had them since I was not planning to make a trip up north this year around the fall. Their tiramisu and crème brûlée are a must try if you ever stop by.
