They told me they could not in good faith repair my ring without doing the seating repair as well and it would cost a few hundred dollars. Then they told me to first reach out to the small business it was from, because they would likely fix it for much less or even free. I did as they suggested and the original jeweler is repairing the seating issue for free, and the prong for $40. I have since gone back to have a different gold ring and a silver bracelet repaired and they did excellent work on both. Honest, friendly, and reliable--Bryn Mawr has our business for life!

We wanted to support our local jewelers but we've had two bad experiences here…read more First, my wedding ring had grown a little too tight so I took it to get resized. They ended up charging $800 and over a month to stretch it out so big that the white gold band became super super thin and the ring flew off my finger. It was comically too big. As soon as they saw it on my finger they agreed to take it back down several sizes. But even with the attempt to fix their mistake the ring still swings around on my finger and the band remains tiny compared to what to once was. I knew the band would thin a bit but since they mistakenly doubled the amount it needed to be stretched I lost a lot of my wedding rings integrity due to that mistake. Even with that, when my husband lost his wedding ring we went back here to find a replacement. Big mistake. After looking at a bunch of rings in the store we didn't find anything in the style he likes that was also white gold. It was important to him to have white gold both to match my ring and also he explained to them he didn't like the various yellow shades of gold against his darker skin tone. The store suggested a more expensive option on special order. We paid up front. The ring came in over a month later and I was out of town for work during that time. My husband picked up the ring and was immediately disappointed but he didn't tell me about it. It was yellow gold. Had I been there I would have refused it, but he did not feel comfortable doing that so he took it home and by the time I came back from my trip, he'd already been wearing it and feeling like he could not return it. Now we have two wedding rings that do not match and that both of us are disappointed about all because of mistakes by the store. And that just makes me sad.

The lady that helped me told me that the person that would service the watch was not in and would it would take a couple of days. A few days later they call me and tell me that the watch isn't working with the new battery. I thought it was weird that it wasn't working since it was before the battery dies. So I took it to the Swap o Rama flea market and the gentleman there opened the watch and told me that they bent a piece that holds the battery in place. He said instead of removing the piece probably by removing the screws they tried to pry it out and in turn scratching the pieces and bending the piece. So he ended up ordering the replacement parts and fixed it for me. I wouldn't recommend this place. If you do happen to do business here be very careful because if they are doing this type of work, I can imagine where else they're cutting corners or deceiving customers. Whether it's with watches or gold jewelry that they sell or buy. I mean, I got my watch fixed at a flea market for God sakes.

I had zero issues with the gentleman's temperament primarily because I read the room on how he has run his business for decades.

After a few days, I received a VM explaining that the jeweler said the movement would not fit the watch and then stated the correct movement calibre (same one as the one I left with them). After 2.5 weeks, over a dozen unanswered calls and inability to leave VM (outgoing message tells you not to attempt to leave a message) I finally was able to make it into the store and left with my watch. Their lack of response took me beyond the return window for the movement however on my way home I stopped by a random jeweler who told me that the movement was correct and replaced it by the next morning.

found these late 2000s-early 2010s roberto cavalli frames at goodwill in very rough condition…read more(broken on both sides and hot glued together) for $2.99. managed to get the hot glue off with sandpaper last night, bernal took care of the rest. he was honest with me that a perfect repair wasn't possible (he tried like four times but the frames were a little bent and there was too much pressure so it wouldn't hold) but he was able to make it happen by slightly overlapping the piece that broke-- totally ok with me because i am a visible mending warrior. as close to good as new as they were ever gonna get and tbh if u can tell they were ever broken you are probably too close to my face! can't wait to look insanely good in these all summer
