I went to a Lexington…read moreClinic Urgent Care Clinic and was pleasantly surprised to discover they offered a walking clinic specializing in orthopedic care. The clinic was a one stop shop for my injury. They had X-ray onsite. It took less than an hour for me to be seen by a nurse practitioner, X-rayed, and put into a cast. My follow up visits were equally as efficient. An orthopedic clinic was a brilliant concert and my medical treatment was excellent. Hope I never need them again but glad to know something like this is available if I do.

I had been warned by several doctors who essentially called him an a**hole. One primary doctor I was seeing on a medical panel said he answers most consults this way. My doctor cancelled the consult, knowing the two of us would get into a confrontation because he likes to push people. The amount of Assumptions in his unsolicited reply are staggering. 1) The Synthroid wasn't working because of severe noncompliance." I had complied the entire three years I was on it and it wasn't working. I was critically hypothyroid for those three years. 2) "The nutracutical, "Naturethroid", is not thyroid hormone and does not contain any thyroid hormone whatsoever." I call BS. I've been in the medical field 20 years. I don't buy BS. It's from desiccated pig and cow thyroids, it does contain the hormone. 3) I'll skip his rant on over the counter unregulated products. "The fact this patient is taking Naturethroid means she is highly likely to also be taking one of these other completely dangerous agents." WTF. Seriously? My doctor prescribed me the Naturethroid, she takes it herself. Why would any sane person jump to that conclusion? 4) "The only valid medication (in the 21st century) for hypothyroidism is pure pharmaceutical grade levothyroxin." (Synthroid). He needs to crack a book and look at Synthroid. It has an iffy history with the FDA. If my body won't metabolize it, it does me no good. Also, the referral was for weight gain / loss of 80lbs in 6 weeks since 1997, my thyroid being stable each time. His narrow mind didn't make it past," Naturethroid." I highly suggest you read his other reviews before considering going to this doctor.
