But only as long as you have the proper insurance and can pay the additional thousands of dollars in co-pays and additional fees. BUT, if you DON'T have the proper insurance, and a wad of cash stashed under your mattress, well then, you might as well just move along. That is to say, within the constraints of your physical ability to move at all! So if you find, while trying to find other means of obtaining the procedure you so desperately need, that you only require a minimal form to accompany an application for said assistance, in order to get back being a productive member of society, don't expect any help with that! A simple form, a half page piece of paper, nothing more than a few scribbles, the only thing left standing in the way of just sending the application for assistance....well, you better just go back and start over with another, EQUALLY talented surgeon, because Dr. Matthew Barber just doesn't have time to consider anything that he cannot place on his list of super-human achievements.

Finally get a call from his nurse just days before surgery, she's nasty, blames me for their failure. Still nothing set up. They have done nothing. It's all about the $. They made sure they got their money first.

I cancelled my appointment and will not be rescheduling with this doctor. This office charges the patient $25 if you cancel under 24 hours before the appointment. Maybe they also need to reimburse patients $25 when they can not uphold their appointment times since we have to waste time and take off work to see them. I for one will not be returning to this office at Orthopedic Group in Mobile, Alabama. And I definitely will not even consider scheduling another appointment with Dr Jeffrey Boatright. She and Dr. Todd's nurse worked me in. The entire staff....front desk, X-ray dept (special for them) nurses, big needle guy and Dr. Todd.....AMAZING!!! He's conservative in approach and passionate and of course extremely knowledgeable and confident about what he does. Patient to explain even though they were slammed with other patients in addition to being "on call". So if you have any orthopedic issues....don't hesitate to call them for an appointment.

And only finding myself in the line for x ray which wasn't moving. I left. On my way out, I made an appointment to come back today. I waited in the lobby over thirty minutes before being called back to x ray where I waited another ten or fifteen minutes. I was then taken into a room where a nurse practitioner came in. And she clearly had no idea why I was there exactly. She was focused on my spinal x. Ray, which has nothing to do with where my pain is or what is causing it. She pushed and pulled on my legs and feet, but never offered to touch or examine the area of the problem. It became more and more clear. She just wasn't listening to me at all. After twenty five more minutes, doctor hicks finally came in. And at least he checked the immediate area where the pain is but still stuck to the spinal issue and wanted me to get an mri. We even went over my CT. Photos together and then he talked about giving me a shot in my spine after the mri. I'm not a medical person, but I know enough. That my spine is not causing the soft tissue problem. I'm having nowhere near. I told him I didn't see any reason for the. M r I and he ordered his assistant to schedule it. Anyway, so she walked me out. Explaining the process to me, and I just nodded and left. I won't be letting them bill. My insurance for any more waste of time, including the. M r I or any follow ups. This was horrible service and treatment two weeks in a row.

If you ask the people at the desk, they just instruct you to check in on the kiosk into which you are to enter in your insurance and social security number along with scanning your insurance cards and drivers license. On one hand I like that other people aren't handling your information, on the other it's very impersonal and the people at the desk seem like they don't want to be bothered (due to the eye roll) and I should've obviously seen and known that I'm supposed use the kiosk to check in. Then you have to read the signs to determine which side of waiting room to sit on for which ever doctor you are to see. The X-ray tech was very nice, fast and professional. The physical therapy staff are all very sweet and professional. The Doctor was excellent and I am very impressed with the efficiency of the office overall. Highly recommend.

I saw Dr. Jason Determann today for a popping and occasional pain after working out in my shoulder…read more As a member of Orangetheory Fitness and relying on my body as a student in the healthcare field, I don't like to be idle for long. So when some discomfort arose in my shoulder after a workout, and persisted for several weeks with certain moves, I decided to get it checked out. The wait in the waiting room was super quick. I was halfway through my first page of paperwork when I was called back for x-rays. The x-rays took very little time, and I was placed in an exam room to wait for the doctor. My time in the exam room before Dr. Determann came in was about 45 minutes, but I didn't mind. It's a busy facility with their own rehab center inside, so I'm sure he's busy between scheduled patients and popping over to the rehabilitation side of things as needed. He listened to my concerns and to me explain what happened when I started noticing popping and slight pain. He worked my shoulder, testing my movements and range of motion, and he felt around on my shoulder blade until he could pinpoint where the popping was occurring. He reviewed my x-rays with me and explained what was happening. Thankfully, I have a minor issue that simply needs some rehabilitation for strengthening! Nothing is wrong with my actual shoulder! I appreciated the time and effort of an appointment with him. Not once did I feel shrugged off or rushed. I left with some relief of knowing I don't have anything damaged at all, and it's great to know I can return here to be in great hands while strengthening a weak spot!
