With the expertise of Dr. Liz Henry and Dr. Summer Lamborn, she was back to dancing pain-free in no time. A year or two later, my husband partially tore his rotator cuff, and surgery was recommended by his Dr. After having observed the extremely knowledgeable and friendly environment of Lifeforce, I made my husband an appointment. After a few weeks of sessions, and a home exercise plan specifically tailor-made for him, he is and has been completely pain-free with full use of his arm and shoulder ever since!!! Over the last few years, I have been helped by both Summer and Liz for a number of issues, ranging from tendonitis of both feet, and now I see Liz for chronic back pain and headaches resulting from scoliosis and arthritis. I don't think I could get through the week without Liz! She always asks for feedback from the previous session, so she can tweak my treatment plan. She also teaches me about my conditions so I can better help myself. Lifeforce also has a number of medical exercise classes that one can supplement physical therapy, for a reasonable cost, led by a Dr. of physical therapy, who also gives me tailor-made exercises for my conditions. I have been to two other physical therapy offices in Wilmington, and in one of them, I felt like I was part of an assembly line, left alone, waiting my turn to see the assistant. He is the only physical therapist at this location and only has an assistant part time. This facility schedules 3-4 people at the same time with only 1 person to work with everyone. Much of your hour long session is spent waiting to be told what exercise to do next with only a few minutes per session of one on one time. Forget trying to call the office to actually speak to a person you will only get a machine to leave a message on. If you are lucky someone will call you back in a couple of days.

Physical Therapy for women is a wonderful place. I could never thank the three Doctors who…read moreliterally gave me my life back. I had been suffering with severe pelvic floor pain for 4 years. Been to 8 or more different types of Doctors and so many uncomfortable tests with no answers and no relief at all. I was rarely getting out of bed. I was at the point of giving up to a life of pain and misery until my Primary Care Doctor in Leland (Dr. Joanna Carnahan) found and suggested this wonderful place. Dr Emily Earle, Dr Taylor Ellis, and Dr Alexandra Richards are beyond amazing. 3 brilliant, kind, patient, young and beautiful women took me on a journey that I will never forget. This was in part due to worsening unsteadiness on my feet, fear of falling or breaking a hip and ending up in a nursing home. I took my MD's advice and contacted Dr. Jeff Weisler with Wrightsville Beach Physical Therapy, and I can honestly say that I am glad that I did. Wrightsville Beach Physical Therapy's in-home, concierge model makes receiving Physical Therapy services as easy for me as waking up from a nap and heading down stairs! Dr. Jeff Weisler has helped me significantly improve my balance, strength, stamina and walking tolerance. I am once again able to walk beyond the end of my driveway, to/from our dock and around the block. I am becoming more comfortable walking over uneven, grassy terrain around our home and in the community; often without needing to take multiple seated rest breaks as I had before therapy. Dr. Weisler is very knowledgeable and compassionate, yet he has a great sense of humor, and always comes to my home with a smile. Having that information and phone number, I contacted Dr. Jeff Weisler and am so glad I did. I really thought I would need surgery on my shoulder because of the severe pain that was actually keeping me awake at night. During my first session with Dr. Jeff, (as I call him), I was impressed with his willingness to really listen to my complaint about my shoulder pain, and he had great insight and wisdom as to getting me on a plan to improve my condition and completely get me back to normal. In a matter of a few sessions, I was already making progress and it was looking like things were starting to go in the right direction... there was improvement. He explained to me that after 68 years on this earth I needed to strengthen my core muscles. I was very faithful sticking to his guidelines and exercises. With his expert knowledge I am fully recovered. I went from not being able to lift a gallon of milk with my left arm to basically lifting what I want.
