My unit was under warranty so I had my installer go and look at it. Peace Heating and Air had pulled out some wires so that the unit didn't work. My technician reinstalled the wiring and the only thing wrong with the unit was the remote. He reprogrammed it and now my guests have heat. I briefly explained my situation and was told a service tech should be out shortly for diagnostics... and he was! the tech was efficient and courteous and practicing plague protocols which is always appreciated. a little chit-chat then re-reset the breaker and the unit turns on, mostly... apparently there's a delay between 'power' and 'function' because Michael shut it off after a few minutes reporting a high current condition. shines a flashlight around and pokes about some with the meter... some parts come out, some parts go in and next thing you know we're back online with heat, yea! check the discharge temp and thermostat function to make sure everything works like it's supposed to, and we're done in short order. and it wasn't so spendy either (yea again!) while I had his attention I asked Michael about replacing the unit and doing a little duct work under the house (why should I get dirty when they're going to be here anyway?) he took a look at my system and gave me some numbers; it's gonna cost about the same for gas or electric so we'll see how that plays out in the spring. meanwhile I've got no complaints except for the plague stuff and being on eastern standard time instead of Tulsa Time. to all y'all at Air Dynamics, thank you for a job done well!

In October of 2019, we purchased a home in Denver, NC. Before we purchased the home, I personally…read morechecked the heating and cooling system and these units operated in optimal working order. Before we moved in, I had our general contractor make arrangements for a local HVAC company to come to the home to inspect our units for our peace of mind. My contractor contacted Henson Mechanical of Denver, NC for service. A Henson technician came out to inspect our units. After the inspection, the tech cited a long list of problems with one of my units followed by a recommendation for the replacement of that AC unit. Below are copies of Henson recommendation and estimate: After the service call from Henson, one of the AC units started to shutdown automatically within a few minutes of starting. I then call another local HVAC company in Denver for a second opinion. Their technician was honest and extremely bright. Upon his inspection of the circuitry board on my AC unit, he discovered a test strip was left attached to my unit. As it was explained to me, a "test strip" is a rubber strip placed in two specific locations on in the circuitry board to simulate a fault condition triggering an automatic shutdown of the unit. HVAC technicians test the automatic shutdown function to ensure it proper working order so that if the unit was to experience a serious fault, it would automatically shutoff to save the unit from damage. I believe this test strip was purposely left on my AC unit only to force me to purchase a new unit. Henson also informed me that I had a evaporator coil leak. Upon further inspection from the other HVAC company, it was discovered that Mylar seal had not been broken only to indicate that the no access was ever made for a proper inspection. Henson also quoted me for a replacement for the duct work for my HVAC. The tech from the other HVAC told me he saw no serious issues with my duct work. Before I wrote this review, I called Henson Mechanical 5 times to afford them a fair opportunity to explain themselves to correct any misconceptions or errors I had made in my assessment. When I called them, I asked the receptionist to speak to the owner(s) or the tech Henson sent to my home. It's been over 4 months I still yet have not heard back from Henson for an plausible explanation. I gave them one last opportunity yesterday to call me back and I still haven't heard back. At this point I will have to presume that my assessment of Henson's Mechanical is accurate and Henson's Mechanical was operating in an unethical manner. The company that serviced my HVAC after Henson's charged me $160.00 to inspect my unit and remove the test strip left by Henson's versus $9100 that Henson's wanted to charge me for a complete HVAC replacement. I do not recommend Henson Mechanical for any service needs.

My husband & I get no pleasure out of disparaging a company we've used for the more than two…read moredecades we've lived here (into which we've poured thousands of dollars). But we are so aggrieved over our experience with Beaver Brothers that we feel compelled to unload for whatever it's worth. Our ground level heat went out a week ago Sat., on 1/24/26. BB came that day, determined we needed a new power venter, said they would order it Mon., and shut off the system till the part arrived. For starters, the NY supplier tells me the part could have been ordered that very day (Sat.), that while the warehouse is closed, the office is open all weekend, and all orders would be promptly processed first thing Mon. OK, a day wasted as BB would not be placing the order till Mon., as we sat in temps of 36 degrees bundled in coats and hats during one of the most frigid periods on record. So Monday comes and we call BB 4x to get an update on the order. No call back. We call again Tues. (they NEVER call us) to learn they were closed Mon., the repairman couldn't get out of his driveway, and they'd now order the part that day (Tues.), to arrive Thurs. morning. (Not another human being, maybe even an owner with a sense of compassion and dedication to customer service could get in to order the part on Mon.?) They tell us the cost is $3,400, that our sticker shock is due to tariffs. Inflation maybe but not tariffs. We discover the part is actually manufactured in NC, & we know tariffs only apply to imported goods. We're then told we could pay another $300 for overnight air for the part to arrive the next day (Wed.) but we decline. They say they'll come over Thur. morning to prep things and return in the afternoon to make the repair after the part arrives. No one shows Thur. morning so we call again for an update. We're told they decided not to come twice but would wait for the part to arrive and that it was "out for delivery." Nuttin' more that day. We call again Fri. for an update, my husband has a heated discussion with the repairman who then hangs up on him. I talk to the co-owner who tells me the part is still not in, he doesn't know what's going on, and generously says they're paying for overnight air to help speed things up, but they'll be closed till Mon. so nothing can be done till then anyway. (No one can work a weekend in an emergency like this?) Here's what I have learned from the NY supplier and tracking info they provided me. BB did in fact order a part Tues. afternoon (why not first thing in the morning?) that arrived Thur. morning, but it was the wrong part (a 5" venter instead of a 4"). So they only ordered the right one on Thurs., obviously supporting the urgency (not the generosity) of "overnight air" delivery. Tracking info never said the item was "out for delivery." Why not just admit they goofed and maybe offer a reduced price on account of our inconvenience? As for the costs? BB paid $506 tax-exempt for the part, and overnight air is $135 clearly posted on the supplier website (not $300). This, in our view, is simple price-gouging at every turn. We have parted ways with BB as we are not folks who tolerate deceit, dishonesty, and such uncaring customer service that did not meet the urgency of the situation. Plus, we received an undeserved snarky final email from the co-owner. We have shared our story with Trip Beaver, who admittedly has retired from his company but was really the only one we knew there, and have not heard a peep. Very disappointing. So here's, as they say, the "rest of the story!" Stout Heating & Air came out this past Mon. 2/2/26, and simply flipped the switch to turn our heating system back on with the power venter working just fine!, and we have finally shed our coats and hats after 10 days looking like a tribe of Eskimos. And we've saved 3,400 bucks.
