Long story long to follow: We had 4 ceiling boxes that we wanted swapped out for fan-rated boxes. I found Gianni Electric on Yelp, requested a quote on the app over the weekend, they replied quickly with a few extra questions and took down my contact info. They got Alec out the next day for a quote, and he came back the following day for the install. We probably could have gotten the work done a bit cheaper if we went with some self-taught handyman off of thumbtack, and I could have done the work myself (though it would have taken me a lot longer and probably would have made a mess in the process); but plumbing and electrical are two things that are worth paying a professional who has a license and insurance for. The price was reasonable and pretty much spot on what we had guessed it would cost us before reaching out. I called Gianni Electrical Services to obtain a second opinion on a ceiling fan that was installed by another electrical company (Company A, I will call them). Company A told me that the brand new Hunter fan that I bought (direct from Hunter) was bad-they said something was wrong with the fan motor. While they were still at my house, I called Hunter fans and the techs still couldn't figure out why the fan wasn't working. After charging me by the hour, they handed me a bill for $385. Upon receiving the new fan from Hunter, I wanted a second opinion and I called Gianni Electrical. Understanding my dilemma and doubt I had of the other company's services being completed accurately the first time, I explained everything to Jesse @ Gianni Electrical and they were quick to get me on their schedule-next day service-impressive! Eric, the technician, was phenomenal! He arrived on time, was very professional and thorough. He listened to my concerns and was very patient with me asking A LOT of questions. Eric took his time in troubleshooting the issue and was quick to deliver me good news! We have lived with our remodeled kitchen for over 20 years, and yet no electrician has taken the time to explain how tripping one outlet can trip ALL the outlets. We were flummoxed so when all of kitchen outlets stopped working we called Gianni. Our electrician, Jacob arrived on time (at the end of the day---after dark!) and asked to be directed to the house's electrical panel. As he walked to the door---he said "I see your problem..." and reset the tripped main kitchen outlet. So simple---but he didn't stop there. He went outside to the panel (in the rain and dark) and double checked to make sure there were no other possible problems. He suggested some minor changes which seemed logical, so we engaged him to return and make those changes. Because of that, he waived the minimum fee for the original call.
