Worst of all, they will tell you they can come back out and look at the issue via the phone (even though it has not been a year since installation) but will only tell you after arriving there will be a service charge. Looking for legal routes now. Background: Rudy Cools installed my HVAC system in July/August 2023. My main issue was that my previous system was not keeping up with temperature when the hot outside reached above 92 F. I contacted them and asked if it was the system, the duct system, insulation issues or my windows, and they said a new system would fix the problem. I accepted and they sold me a new system. When installing they found mold within the system, so they recommended an air purification system to go along with the HVAC. Having a baby in the way I accepted no doubt to what I asked "if thats on the system, could that be in the ducts as well?" to which they replied "we checked when installing and no issues were found, plus the purification system will prevent that" so I trusted that response. The next weeks the AC upstairs (Damper system) was not functioning and temperatures were reaching as high as 90F inside the second floor. I reached out, they sent a technician to tell me it would be an additional $1.5K to fix. I call them very angry as they never mentioned that and this should have been resolved when installed. They agree and send a crew the next week to fix without a cost. I liked that. It was September/Oct already so heat went down and AC didnt need to work so hard so no issues there. In summer of 2024 the HVAC system could not keep up with temperatures over 92 F - which was my main issue to start with. I called them several times, they sent 3-4 different technicians that tried filing up the gas in the system, switching stuff, or just simply telling me "it was too hot outside and that wsa the issue". After dealing with that all summer I was fed with that and call them angry again, to what they told me "we will send the best technician we have" and they did. This super technician came and told me the duct system was not set up properly, and needed to be updated, with a price tag of $1.5K. I called them angry again since that was my question to begin with when quoting them for a system, and have been ghosted ever since. Its been 3 months now. On a separate story, my family and I have been having health issues without explanation. We did some mold testing here and there with negatives coming up, only to look into one of the ducts directly connected to the system and finding a goooood ole black mold colony hiding in there - even when having a air purification system, and having the installing team they saw nothing when installing. So not only they have costed me 1.5 summers with the same issue I originally had, $13-14k in costs, Health issues for me, my wife and my baby, but they also are now ghosting me and refusing to answer my emails or calls. This for me is as evil as it gets, and should not be even considered within your options for any type of services. The contract drafted by Putnam contained an error in the model number of the air conditioner and a fraudulent representation that the unit included a "one-year parts and labor warranty and ten-year manufacturer's warranty". We relied on the ten-year manufacturer warranty when we decided to use Putnam to install a Lennox unit. We never received any paperwork for the unit, such as warranty, installation/instruction guide, or registration form. In fact, we could not register the unit with Lennox because the unit number in the contract is incorrect. It was not until the unit stopped working, in July of 2024, and Putnam refused to service the unit, that we hired another HVAC company. The new HVAC company took a photo of the actual unit model no. which is TSA036S4N44Y. We registered the unit with Lennox after learning the correct model number and clearly could see there was never any warranty on the unit. When we contacted Putnam regarding the broken system, we were instructed to call any other HVAC company to honor the warranty (Putnam manager and owner knows there is no warranty). We called 2 HVAC companies to get estimates for repair. Both well known reputable companies, stated in their estimate that Putnam did NOT install the proper 3/8 inch line for the refrigerant. Putnam used an undersized liquid refrigerant line which damaged the thermal valve. The pressure resulting from the undersized line directly cause the A/C system failure. We are a small business, struggling to survive. Putnam's use of the undersized refrigerant line (which should have been 3/8" per the Lennox installation guide), AND Putnam fraudulently leading us to rely on a nonexistent 10-year manufacturer warranty need to be rectified. If I were to be gracious with their mistake, you could say Putnam "may have" accidentally entered the incorrect model number in the contract, but the statement of the "one year parts and labor warranty and ten-year manufacturer's warranty" is clearly a fraudulent statement used to convince us to use their services over their competitors. Due to Putnam's fraud and incompetence our unit was damaged. If you want to spend thousands of dollars on an HVAC unit, only for it to last less than 3 years and have to spend even more money to fix negligent work or to get an entirely new system, Putnam is the way to go for sure. For the cherry on top, their owner, Michael Fortin, will speak to you directly on the phone and repeat the lies in their contract verbatim to really double down on their fraudulent practices. So if you'd like someone to lie to your face, choose Putnam! Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere.

I made an appointment and they were able to come the same day. I was given a window of 11-1. To my surprise I got a phone call around 1040 saying they were on the way. The technicians were prompt and very nice. They explained what the problem is and also showed me the defective part. They were at the house no more than 30 minutes including fixing the unit. Highly recommend this business. Reliable, honest and trust worthy.

I briefly explained my situation and was told a service tech should be out shortly for diagnostics... and he was! the tech was efficient and courteous and practicing plague protocols which is always appreciated. a little chit-chat then re-reset the breaker and the unit turns on, mostly... apparently there's a delay between 'power' and 'function' because Michael shut it off after a few minutes reporting a high current condition. shines a flashlight around and pokes about some with the meter... some parts come out, some parts go in and next thing you know we're back online with heat, yea! check the discharge temp and thermostat function to make sure everything works like it's supposed to, and we're done in short order. and it wasn't so spendy either (yea again!) while I had his attention I asked Michael about replacing the unit and doing a little duct work under the house (why should I get dirty when they're going to be here anyway?) he took a look at my system and gave me some numbers; it's gonna cost about the same for gas or electric so we'll see how that plays out in the spring. meanwhile I've got no complaints except for the plague stuff and being on eastern standard time instead of Tulsa Time. to all y'all at Air Dynamics, thank you for a job done well!
