A small restaurant and bar with a pretty large menu. This is the place I goto when I visit Tiffen a couple times a year. Not because it's a fantastic restaurant but because it has comfort food that makes me feel like I did growing up in Ohio. Burgers are always spot on. Pretzel bites are really good with the beer cheese and beers are reasonably priced. This time they added pierogi to the menu and they were awesome. I have no real complaints about this restaurant. Everything is seasoned well and a solid bar menu. Restroom is very divey might be the only small issue. read more

We were in town for some testing at the Hospital, and the staff recommended this place. What a find! One energetic lady zipping around taking and delivering orders with charm and care. We ordered burgers, fries and beer. The burgers were perfectly cooked, on tasty toasted buns - and hand-cut crispy fries- delicious! I have been to Benchwarmers before and I always enjoy the experience. However, this is an appreciation review for the employees' kindness. Our car battery died (along with my phone) down the street and the employee's immediately sprung into action to help us. They offered us beverages and charged my phone while another employee drove over to jump our car. Their kindness will not be forgotten. True diamonds in the rough in today's society. Great boneless wings! Today my fiancé and I were passing through town and were really craving wings. We decided to check out this cute little restaurant that I found on Yelp when I typed in "wings". We got the full pound boneless wings with two sauces - buffalo and creamy parmesan and both were very good! Also got the cheese curds, which were delicious, and two Sierra Mists to go. Our order was ready in 10 minutes and I was in and out when I went to pick it up. The restaurant is doing their best to keep customers safe and healthy with plexiglass barriers between each table and people were spaced out. We will definitely be stopping again! read more

We were in town on a college visit and stumbled across a Benchwarmers menu. There is a nice variety of burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, and sides. Since we were tired from our drive and didn't feel like going out, the fact that Benchwarmers delivers sealed the deal for us. DH's Steakhouse burger which was piled high with sauteed mushrooms, peppers, and onions was very tasty. DD1 enjoyed her Cowboy burger. My Chili burger was the bomb. I am not a fan of mustard, but the Carolina Mustard added a new dimension to my burger. (I did swap out the hot pepper cheese with American.) The burgers were all great, but DD2's BLT was lacking. The bacon was in pieces instead of strips so she did not get the full bacon flavor she was expecting. We also ordered the pizza fries which were good and the standout fries which were seasoned with parmesan cheese were outstanding. (Even better when dipped in ranch dressing.) We also got a large House Salad to share, which was your standard tossed salad. Delivery cost $2.50 to our hotel. I believe delivery is free to the universities. The gentlemen who took my order over the phone was helpful and cordial. As was the deliveryman. We look forward to trying them again. read more

You had me at Cuban. Benchwarmers in Tiffin, OH was our lunch destination today. My cousin is part owner of this fine establishment, so I'm going to be extra critical, I want Benchwarmers to carry on (and carry out) ha ha for a long time. After looking the menu over I had a hard decision in front of me, so many great options. My cousin Jason came out to great my mom and I and Jason started talking about a new sandwich, Benchwarmers Cuban sandwich. Being the afficinato ( yes my words) of cuban sandwichs, of course I said I'll have that. Before I could even drink a few swallows of my ice cold beer, there is this glorious big ole Cuban sandwich in front of me. Sorry all, I know I need to take pictures of my food, but normally with me, the sandwich is gone before I think about it. Jason does not use the typical cuban bread, good for him, that grilled sourdough did the job, perfectly toasted, great crunch on the outside, soft and able to hold its own on the inside. Your first bite had a taste of everything on this sandwich, the pulled pork, the ham, the tanginess of the pickles, that spicy Carolina mustard sauce, there was this great cheese (since I'm older my memory stinks, can't remember what kind) OH the cheese... OMG I am very happy to say this is one of the best Cuban sandwichs ever, loved it. But, wait, there is more, we ordered a side of fries, ha I forgot to mention they are fresh cut. Benchwarmers did their research on how to cut, cook and serve their fries. They also had a good crunch on the outside and soft and friggin great on the inside, no ketchup required, they are too good for that. I only do reviews of places I really enjoy, Benchwarmers did that for me. Atmosphere was perfect, the beer ice cold, it's 90° today so this ICE cold beer was what I needed, the service (excellent) the food and then the price, don't tell Benchwarmers, but I would have paid more for that lunch If you're in Tiffin, driving through Tiffin or live nearby, go there and treat yourself, you'll be glad you did. The absolute worst service I've had any place in Tiffin. I also ordered their wings (which was my fault because I was expecting the quality of Madison Street) and they were horrible. There was less meat than a chicken nugget. I had to ask for ranch three times and my drink was empty but our waitress brought me a "half drink" because she wasn't sure how low my drink was. read more

Benchwarmers refuses to have staff (cooks, waitresses and bartenders) wear masks during the Covid 19 pandemic. In my opinion this is a bad choice for a food service restaurant Food is sub par at best. Cannot find anything on the menu worth risking my life over. read more

We have had Benchwarmers a few times now. The first time was shortly after they opened and I would have given them 2 out of 5... food wasn't great. Got it twice since then and tonight's food was delicious. We got regular fries, Pretzel stick app, the pulled pork sub, and a buffalo chicken wrap. Wrap was on par with others in the area and fries were decent (in fairness, carry out fries are never great). Pulled pork was tender and tasty and the pretzels were fried to perfection. Reasonable prices for the amount of food we received. If you tried it before and didn't like it, it might be worth another shot! read more

Had a great burger and fries. Service was friendly and loved the atmosphere. Got a few weird looks from other customers with my Royals gear on especially in Tribe Nation. I completely forgot my boys was playing theirs. Oops... Loved it!! It is definitely worth a stop for a quick bite and a brew if you are ever in Tiffin. read more

We ordered an All American Burger a Bacon Cheesy Burger Onion Petals and Cheesy Bacon Fries and everything was amazing we got ours delivered and it's nice that there is a delivery place besides pizza pizza and more pizza would definitely recommend this place and will be ordering again read more

Probably only deserves 1 star, but my first trip at least the sandwich was good, but it was not as big as they advertised it to be. I found maybe 5 fries and a sprinkling of slaw. Your trying to rip off Panini's or Primanti Bros with this style of sandwich and you failed big time. Don't say a sandwich is stacked with toppings then serve what you do. Very sad...but todays visit was worse. Tried the Flaming Chicken sandwich and it was a complete joke and waste of $8. Sandwich was 80% bread, chicken was not even coated very well and the sauce was not even hot. When it was brought to me I noticed it was missing a topping, the jalapeno chips. When I pointed this out I was told they no longer carried them, but yet the menu is unchanged and the workers did NOTHING to try and make it right. I paid $8.00 for maybe a bucks worth of chunks. I will never go back after this. They do not understand an ounce of customer service and they do not deliver a sandwich that matches their description and nothing even close to the value. I left today still hungry; an $8 sandwich should make you feel full. I highly doubt you make it 1 year with the way your starting out. Really like to support the little restaurants, but this one is off my list now. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! read more
