Got 2 hamburgers, onion rings, and 2 donuts. The hamburger patties are a bit thin but the burger is still fufilling, the onion rings are a bit oily but very crispy and good. They also offer to warm some of the donuts and they were great. They get to you extremely quick and serve with a smile. Fantastic service, very patient and kind people. The restaurant does not have an expansive menu, but instead focuses on the items making up their specialties: burgers, dogs, fries, onion rings, malts, and pieces of pie. Long a fixture in Findlay, the establishment is short on signage, and can be confusing to navigate for a first-time patron. Customers queue up at the cash register and place their orders (including any condiments you want on your sandwich), then once the food is delivered to a bright blue tray, move off to one of the restaurant's booths or a stool along the windows wrapping around three sides of the building. In my case, I ordered a double hamburger with bacon and cheese, plus mustard, ketchup, pickles, onions, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and jalapeno. With a big, 'boss' sized Pepsi, my total was less than $7, which felt like a great price! The food itself was not fancy, but the portions are decent and it tasted good! I especially enjoyed how the diced onions on my burger mixed in with the ketchup and mustard, reminding me of the way my grandma used to serve 'hamburgs' back when I was a kid. Also, much like hamburger shops of yesterday, patrons do not bus their own tables, and instead staff come by and clean up the tables after customers leave. The prices now at Wilson's are insane. $8 for a double cheese burger is insane. It's decent food but definitely not worth the price anymore. All these fast food places have lost their mind and forgot why the reason people go there to eat. It's not because it's the best food by any means, but it's cheap and fast and nowadays, none of those places are cheap or fast and the food quality is mediocre at best. There was a bunch of construction guys ordering in front of me yesterday and their average lunch bill was 17 to 20 bucks each. They weren't ordering crazy big orders either. Wilson's burgers are what a burger is supposed to be! I truly respect any business that lasts as long they have, they've been serving burgers since the 1930s! I live in Michigan, but if I am traveling near Findlay, I need to stop here! I like to order a triple cheeseburger with ketchup and mustard, bacon, jalapeno, onion and pickles If you have that you don't need anything else, but the fries are tasty too. I absolutely get that Wilson's is a community treasure, but are they REALLY anywhere above average? I personally do not think so. They have everything you'd want from a diner- burgers, fries, malts, and even delicious pie options. Every one of those options is totally mediocre, and I can't really seem to find a stand-out for anything on the menu. The hamburgers are your standard faire; probably a quarter pound patty before it was cooked on the flat top, put on a fresh roll. I got bacon on mine for my last visit, and it tasted like greasy cardboard, and nearly chipped a tooth. The ingredients are fresh that they use to top the burgers, and have been every time I've visited. The fries absolutely need some work. They're not fresh cut, and hold a striking resemblance to Burger King fries. You're going to need a lot of salt and ketchup to make these appealing, as they're mostly bland. The desserts are above average! The shakes and pies are delicious. I had the cherry, and was extremely satisfied. I've had their malts and shakes on multiple occasions, and have never been disappointed. The price is right. You can get a burger, fries, and a drink for around 5-6 ducats. The premises is always clean, and the staff has always been friendly enough. Give them a try if you're in to nostalgia from the 50's. read more

I used to live in Findlay for a little while and was always told about how wonderful Wilson's was. While living there I never had a chance to go to this establishment. While I was there visiting I decided my children and I would eat here for lunch. We ordered our burgers and sides and drinks at the counter. The way it did not take long and everybody was very friendly. The food itself was good but nothing like the stories I have heard from all of the Findlay natives. So first impressions when you walk in are interesting. Old style diner type environment, with old booths and stools with views onto the street outside. Was greeted by a very, let's say, 'in your face' type of girl, but I think she fit in the setting. I ordered a double burger, with onions and lettuce, and I have to say, it was delicious. Juicy, tender, thin cut meat, with just the right ratio of meat to bun. However, I'm going to have to take a star off for the fries. They were very soggy and full of grease, and were just not good fries. But to add to the positive, the service was very fast and I got my food in about 3 minutes. If you are new...watch the locals order before trying it! Single with..is your first request, the next from the counter server will be for your side orders, the next request from the grill will be for your toppings. This can be a little overwhelming (think soup Nazi-Seinfeld). The burgers are basic and yummy. The fries are sturdy enough to be dipped in the chocolate malt (mmmm, salt and chocolate!!). The morning coffee and pastries are a treat. This hamburg shop is a throwback for sure and well worth the visit. Men need to request a bathroom key to exit the restaurant to enter the men's room!
