Food was kinda gross. You get a ton of it, but it's a ton of not very good food, and also fairly expensive. We had the burrito and corned beef. The burrito was a mushy mess with fake eggs. The corned beef was better but had a ton of strong cabbage. Both dishes were very potato. read more

Five stars for ambiance, one star for food. The marinated/pickled tomatoes on my Benedict were so overwhelming it ruined my dish, also the hollandaise sauce had no flavor. My boyfriend's huevos rancheros were something straight from Taco Bell. "Fresh squeezed" orange juice..... there's no way, salty after taste. Great breakfast place in Rochester! Super modern and clean look to this place as well. We started to line up with yelp waitlist which made the time go by quick, for sure do this if you see there is a live wait already cause the restaurant is not huge so you will have to wait, especially if you have a larger party. We sat at the bar which was very cool, we ordered a monkey bread with cream cheese, a pancake flight and a corn beef tot dish. All was very good, the monkey bread seemed dry at first look but it was very gooey an sweet still, highly recommend and can't wait to try the caramel next time! The pancake flight I got was consisted of the Elvis, strawberry Nutella, and s'mores. All were very good, but I could only finish about half cause it was pretty sweet but the pancakes in general were pretty big and thick as well. And lastly the tot dish my fiancé got was very good, the corn beef was in pieces still so it was meaty, it kind of tasted like a Rueben since there was sauerkraut in it, so if you don't like sauerkraut don't order it. I have been here only one time and not sure if I'll go again or not. I came with my boyfriend and his mom on a Sunday around 11am. We waited for 30 mins for a table and the restaurant had several open tables. Once seated our waitress seemed to forget about us and didn't take our order until we had waited for nearly 20 mins. Once ordered it took over 30 mins to get our food. The food was pretty good over all but something was wrong for sure with the service. We didn't get refills of our beverages at all. Hoping they were just short staffed, but have heard of similar experiences from others so I'm just not sure. read more

3 stars are very generous for what I experienced. I was excited to try Benedict's before ever going in. I came in about 45 min from close. I was one of two people in the restaurant and asked if it was ok to order or if they needed to work on closing. The bartender said it would be fine to order. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and a mimosa. My meal was drenched in salsa verde and almost inedible. I quickly needed a refill of my mimosa but other than a random waitress dropping my food off, I never saw any waitress again. I felt uncomfortable as the kitchen staff seemed annoyed by my being there and clearly the staff was more focused on finishing up their work then asking how my food was or getting me another cocktail. A simple look at my plate would have indicated I didn't enjoy the meal. read more

Had a late breakfast here during my stay in Rochester. Was very good. I had the Jimmy's Special, which is two eggs, two pancakes, and bacon. They substituted ham for the bacon at my request, no problem. The waitress was cheerful and checked back several times, filling water,etc. I recommend this place for breakfast or brunch. Overpriced, mediocre food. We had the burrito, hot chicken Benedict and BLT. Also slow service and ended up forgetting one of the items we ordered (strawberry Nutella pancake) and it was underwhelming when it finally came out. We came here on a friends recommendation and really liked the ambience and decor but unfortunately did not find the food to worth the higher price point. Ordered an orange juice and the combo pancakes, bacon, eggs. I know this place likely does eggs Benedict well, however the breakfast basics I ordered were not what I expected. The s'mores pancakes were the consistency of a frozen pancake, with Hershey syrup and a marshmallow placed on top which was a disappointment. The bacon was fried to the point of being rock hard. The freshly squeezed Orange juice had a very odd after taste. I would say maybe I got the wrong thing-they may excel with other menu items, but I also think any solid breakfast place should do the basics well. read more

Had the opportunity to attend the soft opening today and so grateful as we were traveling from Mankato MN to Madison WI. We started with the monkey bread and it was great; just the right amount of caramel. For our main dishes we had the Cubano Benedict and the French Toast. French toast was amazing with fresh berries and does not need any syrup. It's that good. The Benedict was not our favorite but it might be our palate so I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying it as it was prepared as stated we just went out on a limb as far as our palate goes. The side potatoes that came with it were awesome so highly recommend those. Also the hot sauce they provide at the table (MN proudly made) is great! Not too hot and a great complement to any egg dish or potato dish. The ambiance is great and the servers we had at the bar were attentive. Manager came over twice to make sure we were happy. They open to the public tomorrow and are open until 3:00 pm. It is a must. The sandwiches looked really good as well so next time we are traveling to our daughters we will stop in and try those and update my post. read more

Tracked down this place in the skyway and had the wonderful lobster Benedict. Amazing! Our server had a great sense of humor so made the lunch even more enjoyable. We took the monkey bread to go and warmed it in the microwave for a treat later. The name is misleading though because it's not the typical pull apart monkey bread but a mini cinnamon roll loaf--very tasty but a bit unexpected. read more

Only 4 stars because it's expensive (especially for rochester). Is it worth it? Yes, but I would only come here for special occasions. If it wasn't as expensive we would have tried more on the menu. I was super excited for a new breakfast place in town, and this is a very welcomed addition to Rochester but just your average breakfast place. I had an omelet and breakfast potatoes, which was good but nothing special and cost $14. A side of bacon was $7. Breakfast for 2 with no drinks turned into $50. I do not hesitate to pay for a good meal, but in my opinion this was not worth the cost. read more

We waited 15 min (in addition to putting our name in the Yelp app) and there were multiple tables open the whole time we were waiting. I've had great experiences at their Wayzata location. The service was good, but not what I expected as, again visiting their sister location. We were a party of three, the waitlist thing didn't work upon arrival. Shared the link with my friends. They just got errors. I'll give them the credit that it was my user error. Now on to the food. It was ok, but nothing to write home about. I had Huevos rancheros, the presentation was spectacular. However, the meat definitely wasn't chorizo, no pork or spice taste. Basically ground beef that tasted barely a step up from Oretega taco season. Not one black bean. One of my friends had the corn beef hash. Again, presentation spectacular, the hash had ZERO taste. The corned beef was greasy, flavorless protein. The hash also, lacked seasoning. Hopefully this all improves as it is a great location and atmosphere. read more

I have been to Rochester MN a few times and have always found it difficult to get a decent breakfast. A bellman at the Double Tree told me to check out Benedict's inside the Hilton. Let me say the I was not disappointed. Sort of tucked away on the second floor of the Hilton it is easily accessed from the street or the Skyway. The facility was clean and bright. This particular day the place was rather busy but my service was prompt and EVERYONE was very courteous and friendly. More like a family diner the food was outstanding and appropriately portioned. While not the most expansive menu the fact that you could get a Bloody Mary if you really needed one, is a plus. I am not a big lunch person but the next time I'm in Rochester I plan on trying something. The sandwiches I saw looked delicious. I very seldom write reviews but I felt this place deserved it.
