Enjoyed lip threading results, fast and thorough, but eyebrow threading left a bit to be desired in results, took too much off

Alisha is so fantastic! I just moved here from SF and have been having the worst time finding people to help me maintain my beauty regimen. I had someone at a salon here totally botch my brows and made them completely uneven. Alisha had a cancellation that I snagged (thank God bc I'm limited with my work schedule) and she did not disappoint! She mapped my brows to help me confirm which direction I wanted to go in and explained why she was leaving a bit more in one area on one side than on the other. Ultimately, it's to help me get both my brows back into the same desired shape. I thought she was wonderfully skilled and really, really personable! She took her time and revived my brows. Although I absolutely love this brow bar, I am extremely upset that they would see a client during the time my apt is schedule. I am on a time crunch and literally this person who had a 3:20 apt shows up at 3:35 and is seen when I had an apt at 3:40. I'm sorry but she was 15 minutes late for her apt and should not have been seen before me. Why even offer the option for an apt if your not going to honor the time commitments other people have scheduled. Plain rude! read more

I have never trusted anyone to wax my brows ever. I'm very picky and afraid to lose half a brow (I have seen this happen before). Ashley at the Benefit Brow Bar in Macy's is literally the only person I ever trust to wax my brows. You should request her specifically (no shade on anyone else, but she's great). First of all, I want to say how little and uneven my eyebrows are. I was a victim of the generation of overplucked, thin and drawn on eyebrows. I went in today as a "walk in" customer. There were two ladies at the eye brow bar with customers. One of them greeted me and told me to check in at a nearby counter. I was told to come back in 15 minutes as the other lady was finishing up. so I did. When I came back, I waited for someone to help me. I heard the lady that was going to do my eyebrows say "i cant do it, I need to go on my break" and continued working with a customer. Just love getting my brows done here. For a while I had been threading because I had a bad experience with waxing a couple years back, but the Benefit brow bar has changed all that. Mary has done my brows about 3 times now and never has it hurt, my brows always come out amazing and she always offers to fill them in. I love it! Went to get my brows done and they don't even look like family...their horrible not impressed. I went in as a walk in and was happy with the costumer service but not by the guy who did my brows. Not only was the wax to hot but after he waxed them he put rubbing alcohol on me and got into my eyes. Not only did my brows burn but so did my eyes. Definitely not be coming back. read more

Had a great experience with Ashley she is very professional, made me feel comfortable and at the end I was very happy with what I saw!

Would give 0 stars if it was an option Made an appointment for 11:20 and arrived in front of the kiosk at 11:25. The lady I made an appointment with was no where to be found. Stood there awkwardly only to finally be greeted by a Bobbi brown employee who asked how they could help. I told her how I made an appointment and was waiting. Finally another benefit employee asked me if I needed assistance.. at which point I again told her about my appointment and she asked me nicely to sit down. She apologized for not knowing where the brow technician was but that she was sure I would be helped shortly. When the brow technician did finally show up she told me her next appointment was here and that she canceled my appointment at 11:24 when she didn't see me. When making he appointment (30 minutes earlier) she asked for my phone number, yet I never received a call or a warning that I would loose my spot within 4 minutes of her "not seeing me" when I was a kiosk away. What made matters worse is she was not apologetic and had a piss poor attitude. Never in my life has someone talked down to me in such a way and not tried to mend the situation so that I received a service today and she made money. Will not be returning to this location again. I went by to get some makeup for my mother and I overheard an employee talk down to another employee. I asked nicely who it was and was told she was the brow bar manager. It's disappointing to see the manager of a business talk like that to an employee in front of people rather than in private. It seemed a little unprofessional. read more
