Solely based on professionalism and time management I should have regarded the other reviews on this issue. Thought that since I officially got an initial response from someone that all was well. Wrong. Like the others, I received the notifications, even the 15 mins till your appt one. I arrived 15 mins prior thinking I'd have to fill out paperwork or screening if some sort. Ring the doorbell, no answer. Wait about 8 mins. Ring again, still nothing. Decide to wait till it's closer to my actual appt time. Long story short, after txting another number with no response, and more ringing i oh f the doorbell I leave. That's more than 15 mins after my official appt time. Finally receive a txt back. So I've never had a brazillian wax before, so you start asking your friends their experiences. My friends would tell me it's so painful the first time but gets better and better each time. So I walk in scared, I meet my waxer Bianca. She was so nice and put me at ease. It wasn't painful at all. Some tender spots but very tolerable. I would definitely recommend this place. Listen to the reviews and do not come here!!! After being a member here for 4 years, I have finally cancelled my membership. Not only has the service significantly declined since reopening after the pandemic, the front desk is unprofessional and the way they handle situations is abominable. Most of their estheticians have left and it's for a reason. In the past year, there has been multiple times my appointment has been last minute rescheduled to the point where it gets pushed to the next month and services are missed (take it, services are automatically charged the 1st of each month, whether you receive your service or not). Last week, my appointment was cancelled on the spot when I went to check in (they had sent me a text cancelling my 2pm appointment at 1:56 pm when I was walking through the door). They offered to reschedule my appointment for this week, however, the new appointment was never actually put in the books. I text the salon to confirm my supposed appointment so I wouldn't have to waste my time driving there today, the day of my reschedule, where I was informed I didn't actually have an appointment. I sent screenshots and reminded them I had requested to cancel my membership starting July, in person and via email, where they asked me to confirm the email I had sent this request to. We came to a resolution and Cecilia (front desk) still text me later on asking me, again, about the situation and claiming I had no showed an appointment (that was also a reschedule with text proof), where I had to YET AGAIN explain myself, send screenshot proof (seriously, if you decide to come here, keep all text evidence), and exhaustingly argue for the second time in the day. I felt the need to ask for proof that my card was refunded and that my membership was actually cancelled so I wouldn't have to be questioned about this situation yet again next month. It makes me sad that the service has deteriorated so terribly because they had so many excellent estheticians at one point and this was always the place I recommend to my friends and now I can't say I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Horrible! The owner called me to my cell phone after I reviewed this & texted me JUST STRAIGHT UP HARRASING ME. FIRST off I was exceedingly kind to this business OVERLY. When covid hit they texted me on my cell phone if they could continue to charge this was in March 2020, because I want to support small businesses I said ok sure,as they ensured me that later they'd make it up with either products or services. Well they did not open up until the summer time (around that). Then they provided services for about 2 or 3 months up until November. They never made up anything they said they do... then they upped the price to 45 dollars, and kept charging my visa card in December & on. I had to call Bank of America, I spoke to the fraud department which investigated it & reimbursed me. Why because this business failed to provide services, the phone number they have online they don't answer, they have different numbers they use. I had to go through the trouble if going without a visa card. & this lady Valerie has the ODASITY to call me upset on my cellphone from this review saying that I failed their contract? Really! The contract never said I be ripped of & that I'd have to give a monthly payment for free, NO THEY BROKE THE CONTRACT.in a period of a day or less I've been-called, texted on my phone & also messaged on here.This is a shame. I feel so harassed & my privacy so invaded. Really what us nect from this business. They also messaged me that they were going to charge me a late fee ! This Is awful. I've been getting waxed at Dare to Go Bare for over 4 years and would not dream of going anywhere else! I started waxing about 10 years prior to discovering this business and it is the cleanest, friendliest and highest quality choice. My appointments are always with Rachel, she is absolutely top notch at waxing and is very thorough and gentle. She makes the process as easy as possible and I honestly look forward to our monthly visits. I greatly appreciate how easy it is to schedule upcoming appointments via text. I get a prompt response and it's easy to get the day and time that works for me. The business is cheery, cute and very clean. D2GB is the best and i recommend them to all my friends. i started coming here in February, i had never been waxed before so i was definitely nervous but my first experience was everything and more. i've now had three waxes there. the salon is so cute and the girls at the front desk are always sweethearts. they are also very good with scheduling, they'll work with your schedule. Rachel is THE BEST!! i've been going to her since my first wax and she never lets me down. she does a very thorough job. she makes sure she gets every hair and she's gentle! she's so sweet and makes sure you're comfortable at all times. i cant say enough great things about her. i look forward to coming here to get waxed every month. a little bit of pain is worth the great results. read more

I scheduled an appointment via text and was given their availability. I went ahead and selected my preferred time, and received a text saying I'm all set. Leading up to my appointment, I also received automated texts regarding my appointment. I confirmed those as well. The day of my appointment, I show up 15 minutes early and the door is locked, the lights are off, and no one is responding to my calls or texts. What a shame. I took time off work and drove out of my way to come get my wax done. Why confirm appointments if you forget to even service your clients? Very unprofessional. Learn to respect people's time. I've been a customer here for the last 5+ years and the business is not as good as it once was. There is a high turnover of estheticians leaving no room for familiarity. After having terrible experiences with them, I found one waxer I like and stuck with her. Month after month there's been an issue in scheduling that they've tried to redirect me to another esthetician in house and I've politely declined due to personal reasons. Today my appointment was scheduled for 1230, with my fav might I add, and by 1245 I had to ask the new receptionist how much longer before I'd be seen. She let me know they were wrapping up and that I'd be seeing someone else today. I was upset because this could've been brought to my attention prior to the appointment or at check in. I let her know I'd like to reschedule. The owner interjects into the conversation and offers to wax me herself to which i declined. She let me know that this is her spa, I can't choose who I want, and that the esthetician I prefer is burnt out. These are not my issues. I decided to terminate my membership and asked if I can have a credit to my account since the appointment never occurred. The owner said no which is ironic because let a member show up to an appointment late and it'll be an issue. The owner was not receptive to any constructive criticism I tried to provide from a customers standpoint and instead reiterated that it's her spa. She's very petty and childish as a "business owner". I'll never go there again based on the way she handled this situation. Her workers are GREAT !!! SHE IS HORRIBLY RUDE AND UNREASONABLE. If you tell me I'll be billed on the 1st take the money from my account on the 1st of the month and not one day before !!! Business is business, right is right and wrong is wrong. I finally found a great waxing place in Fresno. Brazilian waxes are so uncomfortable, personal and embarrassing. I mean think about it, this person will be looking at your private areas so one has to really feel comfortable to want to go back. I'm not only going back, I decided to become a member. This was my first time going here. I purchased a Groupon and I made an appt through text which was very convenient. I don't get good reception where I live. My technician was Sara and she was so sweet. She made sure I was comfortable and went at a pace that was comfortable for me. I will be rescheduling with Sara, she also offered the option of other services available and showed me around. The decorations were very beautiful in each room as they had different themes. I was a member here for years and they were great until this last year. They kept taking payments out for times that they were closed, and don't offer any refunds. They only offered certificates for a service other than what you were paying for. The estheticians were awesome and seem to get a bad rep from the management. I finally cancelled my membership and vowed to never go back. So after months of not receiving service, I get a double payment taken out of my account for something that I never attempted to receive. The owner finally contacted me and said she is working on the return of the fees taken out. But the whole experience has led me to take my business elsewhere. read more

Through yelp and saw that the ratings were pretty high and also they had a lot of positive reviews. Along with that I had a friend referred me to Dare to go Bare. The first time I went I was very hesitant and scared. The last few times I had gotten a Brazilian wax the experience was horrible. The owner Valerie did my wax and was very welcoming and pleasant from the get go. Although Brazilians may be unpleasant, especially for the first timers, Valerie made the experience very pleasant and made me feel at ease. I have been going to Valerie and the girls at Dare 2 go Bare for about 8 months now, and I love it. The girls are friendly and make you feel like a friend. The method they use to wax your "vajayjay" is also a crucial part why go there. Id like to think, your wax will only be as pleasant as your aesthetician. read more

I see the reviews regarding this business being closed and all I can say is the gps and address are the old location you now must go down a little further and down a walkway to enter. I had been here before and went to old location. There is signage telling you where to go but you have to look for it, and the door will not be locked and you won't have to ring a doorbell. It was an ok experience because I got waxed by someone who had just begun working there 3 weeks prior to my appointment. She was sweet and patient and always reassuring me in the process. I've been getting waxed for about 8 years now and have had different experiences. This is definitely better than going to the European wax center (I quit going there ages ago). However I didn't like her specific waxing technique. This is just to say that it really depends on who is waxing you, and that can really make a difference in your experience, especially in how your hair grows in. The worst is getting ingrown hair because they wax wrong. So just make sure that you get someone who is well trained with a good history. read more

This place is professional, comfortable, and welcoming. It is professional because out of all the times I have had a Brazilian done at other salons I have never been given post-waxing instructions. I appreciated how mindful they were about taking precautions to avoid ingrown hairs. The female that waxed me was plain awesome! Made me feel comfortable and kept up a great conversation. I am so glad I found this place through a living social coupon. If I was from the area I would consider coming back. However the one complaint I have was unlike my other Brazilians I was left with residue hair. Didn't like that too much, not sure if it was the wax they used. I originally found this place on Groupon, where I purchased a voucher for a Brazilian wax. It had really good reviews so I decided to go ahead and try it out. I texted them to book an appointment because it says to text them and not call. I texted around 9am and never got a reply so around 5pm I decided to give them a call and no one picked up. After I called them they decided to finally text back telling me they had an appointment the next day so I texted back asking for a different time because I wasn't going to be able to make it and again I never got a reply. The next day I tried calling again and again no one picked up and they finally texted back telling me to send them the times that I would be able to come in. It's such a hassle to get a hold of them, I ended up just going to Europe's wax center and getting a wax there because I could actually get an appointment. I wouldn't recommend this place, it's so unprofessional and hard to get a hold of. I'm going to end up not even using my Groupon and just letting it expire. read more

Mia is the best!! I've gone to a few different places and either had a painful traumatizing horrible experience, bad wax job, rude service, hard time booking or over priced. This place is perfect. The girls there are super friendly and welcoming. They send appointment confirmations and reminders through text so I never miss my appointment. MIA is like no other wax specialist. I regret ignoring some of the bad reviews here. Various people have mentioned that it is impossible to get in touch with them and I agree. I purchased a Groupon deal and tried calling a few times to schedule an appointment but they never picked up. I finally decides to send a text message a few days later. They got back to me the next day and we scheduled an appointment. I then tried rescheduling my appointment but again, they wouldn't pick up. My text messages requesting to reschedule were ignored. I finally gave up. You people can keep my money but you have lost a potential life time customer. read more

Location is a little bit out of the way, but the whole staff is very friendly and nice. One of few places that do manzilians for a decent price($55). They also give you advice for how to prepare for next visit and they offer their own home made oil to help to prevent ingrown hair.
