Went to see Sonia at the Benefit BrowBar a few weeks back and I was thoroughly impressed! I loved that she actually took the time to teach as well as work her magic on my brows. She asked me what style I was looking for and actually mapped/outlined my brows then showed me first before waxing. That was so awesome. It's been 3 weeks and I'm just now beginning to see a few stray hairs. I'm so pleased and will be making another appointment this weekend. Had my brows done by Kendall a couple weeks ago. She was very nice but ended up making my brows very thin She didn't brow map so I wasn't able to see what she was going to take off. She did show me once she was done though - no going back now. She did a touch up which meant to fill my brows in SO DARK. I looked like a chola and was too embarrassed to walk around the mall. The benefit brow bar I've gone to the last 4 years (in CA) also waxes nose hair (if you haven't done it, try it) but Kendall said they use a soft wax so they aren't able to do it at this location. I have really sensitive skin so I usually get red around the area that's been waxed. I got my eyebrows waxed by Sonia and she did really well. She used a certain oil as a barrier and then began to map out my brows with a pencil. After mapping it out, she showed me if it was okay with me and interacted with me a lot to make sure that I'd be satisfied with the results. Sheri is amazing at her job! She did my eyebrows and I am so so happy with her work! I moved here from CA and I had tried other places and people and kept being disappointed. I've gotten my eyebrows done at other brow bars but Sheri from this location is THE BEST! I moved to AZ from California and thought I'd never find someone who appreciated the art of a good eyebrow wax but Sheri is exactly that. She takes her time with my brows, makes sure they match every time, asks me if i'm satisfied and if theres anything I want her to fix/change, and fills them in at the end of our appointment to show me their full potential. She even specifically waxes my eyebrows to allow hair to grow in spare areas until my next appointment. Ever since I started seeing Sheri, I always receive compliments on my eyebrows from friends - even when they're not filled in! I was so happy to know that I can get my eyebrows done while I shop at my favorite store!!! I was very very excited! It began well. She did my eyebrows fine and I was happy. She then waxed my lip. As soon as she placed the stick of wax on my lip I told her it VERY hot. She did not stop and continued on to the other side. She did NOT test her wax to see if it was too hot. The wax warmer was pretty much empty which made the wax even hotter. I was going on a out of town girls trip that weekend. The next morning i had 2 scabs on my lip.I was so embarrassed! The worst part is Once the scabs healed the scars remained. What a disappointment! I was so upset! I called Macy's to tell them. The "manager" with Benefit Katie called me and offered me eye liner. I was stunned at the lack of compassion given. I now have scars on my face and was badly burned but I was offered eye liner. Shame on you benefit. The person doing my eye brows was only employed by them for 6 months and they charge me double what my normal place charges. I would recommend never visiting the benefit brow bar unless you want to be burned and have scars on your face. I now have a scar above my lip. It looks horrible. My dermatologist said it would be over 6-12 months until it's gone. read more

Let me start by saying that I had the WORST experience ever! I was super excited about getting my eyebrows done here! The girl that did my eyebrows was very nice. However, she did a terrible job on my brows. If you have thick brows stay away from this place. I have thick eyebrows and just went in for a clean up & didn't notice how thin my actual eyebrows were because the lady filled them in with makeup products so they appeared to look great! & I loved them at the moment. Once I got home and showered & got out to realize that my eyebrows were super thin I couldn't believe it because I have never had them that thin! I felt so insecure & ugly with my new brows that were badly shaped & way to thin for my face. If you have thin eyebrows maybe you will actually like this place, but for those that are growing out their eyebrows or have thick eyebrows DO NOT COME HERE! You are being warned! read more

I've always wanted good looking perfectly arched eyebrows, but because my brows are uneven and naturally have very different shapes, I've never really had any good experiences with waxing...until now. I decided to try the Benefit Brow Bar at Macy's about a month ago based on the really good reviews it received on Yelp. I'd read that MELISSA was awesome and when I showed up as a walk-in was pleasantly pleased to find that she was available. I've gone to her twice now and am EXTREMELY happy with the results...I've even taken my daughter to see her. She brow maps me every time and makes sure my brows are evenly shaped and gorgeous looking. She even fills them in for me after every appointment and has been extremely helpful with showing me how to fill them in myself and helping me pick out products...so far I've bought Gimme Brow and Watt's Up, and wanted to get their High Brow pencil, but they happened to be sold out during my last visit. I would definitely recommend Melissa at Benefit Brow Bar to anyone who is looking to get their brows done...she is absolutely amazing!!! I've been to a few brow counters and the quality of work is pretty consistent. However I most likely won't be back to the one at arrowhead mall.. Little to pushy on the up sells. I told them I am a loyal benefit shopper and just dropped $150 the day before. But throughout the entire wax I had to say no thank you. I'm really just here for the wax today.
