First I visited the Norterra location for someone else's appointment. At Norterra they just spend their time hard selling products and packages. It was not a great experience. This time around we both tried this location and both of us had the best experience with Cassandra Myself it was a first for time waxing for me, more out of curiosity and self improvement. Cassandra was excellent, I had 2 major areas waxed and I am smooth as a baby's bottom, although spoiler alert, it was not my bottom. Still a very pleasant, joyous painfree wonderful experience with Cassandra. Sure we had a small 'sell' for products but nothing hard or full time during our waxing. Actually Cassandra was extremely friendly and an expert at her job. We will be back for sure and request her. This is an excellent EWC. Upon arrival I was promptly and kindly greeted. I was able to check in and take a brief seat in the lobby. Clean, quiet, and a little merchandise area. Trisha retrieved me quickly from the lobby. It has been many years since my last appointment, but she put me at ease. Tricia listened as I described how I wanted, my eyebrows waxed. She let me set the tone of chatting throughout the appointment, but it was clear she would've been fine if I would prefer silence as well. I can honestly say this was my least painful bikini waxing experience. Trisha was fast but thorough so it wasn't multiple waxing strips over and over a single area. I will come back! read more

So, I'm recommending because I've never had a truly negative experience, but I will say- this place may not be for everyone. It's run very much like a typical chain / franchise and I'd say there's nothing very special about this one. I've gone through a few waxers and not by choice. It's not fun to get comfortable with someone and like how they complete a service and then, boom- one day they're no longer there. I'm on an annual pass and unless one opens a bit closer to my home, I may highly considering not purchasing another one come renewal time. I love my current waxer, but again... how much longer will she stay? The check out process gets to be redundant... my advice for the front desk would be to check to see if future appointments are already made before beginning the same, "How was your wax today? She recommends coming in ___ weeks." (I always prebook). Asking how everything went and if I need to leave gratuity should be it. Just feels like the front desk people aren't trying to get to know you / or even look at your profile. read more

Always get the worst experience here. Today I was rescheduled not because I wanted to but because my preferred wax specialist had an emergency. I drove 35 minutes from south Phx. NICOLE is the least professional wax specialist ive meet, I was scheduled at 7:45 and she made me wait past 8 so I went next door to get a water by the time I came back she refused to do my wax because I was gone for one minute! The girls here are extremely nice but they aren't experienced. I tried 2 different girls and again they are super nice but the quality of the wax isn't there. I got horrible ingrown hairs with one girl and then the other left tons of hair behind and it just wasn't thorough. I gave both girls 2 tries because I like to think some times it's just an off day but it wasn't. I had asked reception to book me with their most thorough waxer and they said they only base things off of speed. For me speed is nice but a nice clean wax is worth the extra time. They are great for some people a friend of mine goes there and doesn't have any issues but for me I just can't seem to get a good clean wax. read more

Ok, so I'm from NY and had a membership there. Came here a month ago, and my eyebrows were completely out of control. I thought I should get back into "my routine " so I looked for the nearest EW. I'm SO glad I found this one. Sara was my technician and she was not only friendly, but also very knowledgeable. She literally spent time explaining what was going on with my brows. How they should be shaped, where they should begin and end. And when she was finished with my service, my brows looked amazing. I won't be going anywhere else and I won't be going to anybody else. Amanda G has been my waxer for a very long time and she will be my waxer for life. She is AMAZING at brows! She does an awesome job at making me feel comfortable and isn't pushy with deals. Got a Brazilian wax yesterday 9/1. Location was very busy but we had appointments. The service felt very rushed like they are just wanting to move people in and out. The tech wasn't even allowing the wax time to dry before ripping off, so it was coming off in sections and even more painful. Wax went straight from pot onto me, with no in between so was VERY hot. It was the fastest wax i have ever experienced, LOTS of hair left over afterwards, wax left on me, and woke up today with what looks like the WORST razor burn ever. I went here today for my complimentary first time wax and got a 50% off Full Brazilian ($25 for the first time or a multitude of totally free smaller areas). My waxer was Tamara and she was so friendly and laid back and explained every step of the process to me and made me feel totally comfortable. I have never had a wax before and I feel totally smooth, it was relatively painless and I will totally be back. Each professional has their own technique & personality- it is always a great experience and I love the recommendations they offer. I use a variety of the products. They are a little pricey, but- they last! And, the new face mask is SO luxurious! I absolutely love the way it makes my skin feel. They have great deals with "pass" pricing for those who want to visit on the regular or on a schedule... and also offer "points" (or, a discount) for referrals. I booked online and when I arrived they took nearly 30 min past my appointment to get me waxed. I understand running behind but I found it kind of rude that there was no apology. I thought I would just give her chance anyway, because things do happen. The wax was incredibly hot, and towards the end of the appointment she wasn't even applying pressure. also went over areas multiple times, so It was getting more and more painful.
