Based on a recommendation from a friend we called John and he and a helper came over that afternoon just before the Thanksgiving long weekend which was nice. He checked the panel, outlets etc and rewired an outside outlet that was wired backwards. Then he diagnosed the source of the issue to be a junction on one of the outlets needed to be repaired but it would take a few hours so he suggested we call the office to reschedule at a later date. We called and rescheduled but the day of the 2nd service appointment the office called to say they were behind on another job and we'd have to reschedule yet again. So I just called to reschedule a 3rd time and they say they won't be able to come out for a week. It's great that they came out once to take a look before a holiday and they are busy getting a lot of work, but I think that they have more than they can handle. After three times of trying to get the problem fixed I'll call someone else. Don't waste your time until they hire more staff. Plenty of others companies are ready to do the work.

At first the signed quote was for 2 bathrooms, kitchen and laundry, even though I mentioned to them several times that my laundry and 1 bathroom was already PVC, but they said since its a new job, new pipes are required. Fast forward 1 week and they said that the job was done but they never touched my laundry or other bathroom? They didn't even mention anything, so I did, and they said since the piping is fine they don't have to replace it. They charged me for a full job, but only did half! Don't even try to negotiate with them because they are so rude. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. After that my water heater "suddenly" stops working right after the job, leaving my husband, MY 3 MONTH OLD, and I without hot water!! I mention this and they try to push ANOTHER quote on me??? I've been in contact with Donovan for at least two weeks. He's told me every day he was going to…read morecome over and get started on my project. Every day he comes up with a new excuse. A couple of the times right after getting off the phone with him he had no idea who I was. I have used him in the past with mixed reviews but figured because he lives so close we might be able to get past the other issues. But Donovan is very untrustworthy. The first project I had him do for me was a water supply into the house. He told me it would cost $250 but ended up charging me closer to $400. I wasn't too worried about this because he gave me a price over the phone and obviously things changed in person. The next job I had him do for me was change three toilets in my house. Over the phone he told me it would cost $250. I supplied the toilets and after's worker was done putting the toilets in Donovan came over and told me it was going to be $380. I still had the original amount written down on appointment time written down on the post a note when we talked the day before. It was like he was on drugs and totally forgot what he told me the day before. Against my better judgment I thought I would try to give him one more chance but either he does drugs or is extremely unforgetful because every single time you talk to him it's a different answer/ attitude. They had to cut my sheet rock to get to the concrete wall where the pipe was. They replaced the pipe as well as all the plumbing under the sink and patched up my concrete wall. They even snaked my drain that got clogged, and did not leave until my sink was working perfectly. Donavon and his worker I believe his name was Dennis were professional and very detail and will not over charge you for the job that is needed. I will use Donavon in the future when ever any problem arises, and definitely recommend him to family and friends when they need a plumber.

He arrived 5 minutes early and repaired our broken outdoor faucets (hose bibs), one of which was broken off within the wall. He did not hesitate when we requested that he reroute one of the faucets with copper pipes to a more convenient location. Alex has a friendly demeanor and does not mind explaining what he is doing. Emil Kuchar, the owner, was very prompt at returning my phone calls and was more than fair with the pricing. We shopped around and got quotes from 3 additional local plumbing companies, and Kuchar Plumbing was by far the cheapest. By comparison, the most expensive quote we got was more than 5 times what Kuchar Plumbing charged us. And let me reiterate that Alex finely tailored the location of the copper pipes EXACTLY where we wanted it without the slightest hint of frustration. We will definitely stick with Kuchar Plumbing in the future. Company wasted two weeks of our life. I should have seen the red flags when they couldn't find the…read morewater cutoff valve and preceded to tell me the house didn't have one (same day the sprinkler guy found it within minutes). We were later provided a quote that literally left out every-single-repair we needed and was $1000-$2000 to have our pipes scoped and cleaned. Being that we just bought the house this was not at all what we needed. We should have cut the cord but we continued due to needing the shower faucets and sink stoppers repaired along with the sinks caulked and wanting to get these fixed sooner versus later. We then got another estimate that only noted the faucets so we called again and where told the sink at least was included (but we never got a clear answer) We were told it would take a few days (3 days) because the faucets were no longer being produced and would have to be ordered. I said that was fine and we would see them in a few days. Well, a few days came and went and when WE finally were able to get someone on the phone we were told it would be a few more days but we were confirmed for Friday. Thursday we called to confirm and were told the plumber (Alex) would call me that night but we were 100% confirmed for the next day. He of course doesn't call so we call that Friday morning and he tells us he will be there by 12:30........ 2:30 rolls around and he cancels and makes plans to be here today (Saturday) no later then 9:00am---at 11:00am we left them a voicemail that the cord was finally being cut which we should've done already. In short, if you are looking for an unreliable, inept, incompetent company that is ill-equipped to handle even the most basic of plumbing services and you want to call them 20+ times without getting a clear answer or concrete date/time of service.... well, this company is for you! If not, please don't waste your time! UPDATE: After the fiasco with Grand Rooter, we were referred to Terry's Plumbing who made themselves available that following Monday, arrived on-time, charged us half of what this company charged (including everything we needed that was seemingly lost in translation with this company) and completed the work that very day. I will be writing a very positive review for Terry's Plumbing who I highly recommend. Shame on you, Grand Rooter!
