Each time it's been very uncomfortable, which was expected since it's acupressure not a massage. However, today I happened to ask the girl who worked on me what kind of certification was needed to do what they do. This is when she proceeded to tell me that they don't have certifications, they just "google" how to do things. I think my mouth dropped. I was thinking, what the heck! Are you serious that no one has even taken a class on acupressure to know where to press and how deep! I will definitely think twice before getting more than an adjustment here. So to clarify: the chiropractic work is 5 stars but I was pretty disappointed at learning about the pressure point ladies, hence the 3 stars.

The pressure used on my hips, thighs, and glute area felt too strong for my stage of recovery, and I left feeling physically uncomfortable afterward. I have had lymphatic massages before, and this experience felt very different. The owner did refund my session after I shared my concerns, which I appreciated. I would still encourage post-op clients to clearly discuss pressure level and experience with surgical recovery before booking. I personally would not return for post-op lymphatic massage, and I would encourage others recovering from surgery to ask detailed questions beforehand.
