I had a huge problem with an undercounter icemaker that just refused to be repaired. Benfield never gave up and stuck with the repair for months despite many setbacks. These appliances (15" undercounter icemakers) are notoriously unreliable and Benfield truly went above and beyond to stand behind their work. Through no fault of theirs, the parts to repair the maker were expensive and the labor required to do the repairs was also expensive due to the extensive time involved. When problems reappeared, Benfield quickly took more responsibility than I believe any repair vendor would take and saw to it that our home got its icemaker working again. I would say anyone is CRAZY to consider any other vendor for a home appliance repair in our area. Highly recommened! read more

Would definitely not recommend the company. My dryer was cutting off after 15 minutes and clothes were not dry. I called Benfield's and made an appointment for 2:30 so I could do this after work. The repairman calls at 12:00 and says he is on his way. That was inconvenient, but I had not been able to use my dryer and wanted it fixed so I left work early. He gets there quickly, makes an analysis, and informs me that my dryer is supposed to work that way and that I had probably just not noticed it. I have had this dryer for over 2 years - what he said is not true. I Paid $130 service fee to Benfield's for absolutely nothing. Called Lowes where I purchased the dryer, and the attendant said right off the bat, "This should not be happening. So, I called another appliance repairman who confirmed that the motor needs to be replaced, and my dryer is now being fixed. I called Benfield's again and asked for my money back because they didn't fix my dryer or provide a proper diagnosis. They responded that I should have called them back. Why would you call someone back if they said there was nothing wrong with it? I am very disappointed in the service and repair service company. read more

Benfield Appliance Repair has done a great job for me in the past. About two years ago the cover on my dishwasher that overlays the buttons came off and they repaired it skillfully. Recently, the cover came off again and I contacted them online to describe my repair need. I clearly stated that the dishwasher worked fine, only the cap over the buttons needed to be replaced. They sent a man to my house knowing full well that they were going to charge $130 for "dishwasher diagnostics", even though I clearly stated that the dishwasher worked fine. The total with that charge as well as the cost of the new cover plus labor to install it was going to be $350. I balked at the $130 "dishwasher diagnostic charge, and they acted like they were doing me a favor by only charging half the price for a man to come to my house and agree that the cap came off. That is called gouging. I do not recommend this company. They will charge you outrageous fees and will gouge you to maximize their profit. read more

Kurt worked on my whirlpool duet washer . The machine kept giving numerous codes in the diagnostic testing which pointed towards a bad circuit board , however through his relentless examining of the machine by using his meter to get readings , Kurt came across the smoking gun which was a broke wire at the plug of the water temp sensor. He quickly replaced the plug and the machine was up and running. Thanks for the don't quit spirit Kurt. Great job! read more
