He did two extractions and something else i don't recall the name now AND i slept while he did it, he and his assistant had to wake me up because i took a nap while he was extracting my teeth, he did on a such amazing time i couldn't believe it, fast forward for my Recovery, everything is great i feel some discomfort but of course, I've been taking the meds he prescribed me and other than that I don't have much to say. I have always loved this dentist office. Been going here for years. They have always taken amazing care of my teeth and been so nice. I felt comfortable when I walked through the door. That has drastically changed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The front office lady literally sat there knowing people can hear her and made fun of patients. Clients calling in, and then after she would hang up laugh about their questions or what they were calling about. Huffing and puffing when the phone rang and just sounded sooooo rude.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't know if she is new or not but it made me feel so uncomfortable. I tried, I really really tried. It all started about three years ago, I needed teeth pulled and dentures. Recommended by a friend Benich is where I went. Everything seemed on the level with the exception of fitment, appearance, workmanship and materials used. I'm sure I was just being picky, but was reassured of as much by Tim. (I feel it's dishonest to use the moniker of Doctor) The bottom plate was gapped at both sides where it fasten to two of my natural teeth, I had retained six of my own on the lower jaw, it just didn't look right. The top plate was also of poor quality that never fit correctly. We all have a life so I will give you the short version. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I commented to Tim about fitment or appearance, I was told I needed a re-line it had only been six months.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was charged full price to clean the six remaining teeth I had twice a year charged for multiple re-linings as well as four different repairs where the top plate completely failed by breaking in half while I was eating (thank GOD I was at home when this occurred) three of the times once I was at work. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tim said to lay off the meatloaf and mash potatoes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I even got him to make me another top plate after the other had failed so easily. If I count an upper partial he made for my wife (that she's never worn due to fitment issues) I've spent well over twelve thousand dollars since 2022. Please do not make the mistake of using this dentistry. Dental costs became so expensive, I was trying to save some money and gave Benich Dental a chance because they are more affordable than Towne Lake Dentistry. What a mistake. They were cheaper for a reason! The dentist made such a mess of a filling and crown that I had to go back to Towne Lake Dentistry and pay again to get everything fixed. I tried to get them to refund some of my money and provided xrays and a letter from Towne Lake Dentistry showing that all the work had to be repaired. They refused to refund any of my money and were very apathetic about the entire situation. read more

Rather unsavory business ethics. I showed the receptionist my dental plan card from Aetna's dental Access plan. Under this plan, all x-rays and cleanings are covered 100%. They did x-rays and wanted me to schedule with an oral surgeon, and when I went to check out, the cashier THEN told me in a very arrogant, unapologetic and smarmy tone that they didn't accept any dental plans and charged me $160 for services I anticipated not paying anything for. They should've explained before treatment that they didn't accept my dental plan. During this time, Dr Benich said he thought one tooth was able to accept a crown. After going to a second dentist who accepted my plan, the doctor said it was unethical of Dr Benich to say that tooth was salvageable, and that an implant was necessary. Crooks and liars. read more

Our family has been going here for about 15 years now. Unfortunately customers are simply becoming a number to them apparently. I have a busy schedule like most consumers do. My appointment was at 9 am this morning. I called on my way there and said due to traffic I will be there at 9:08 am today (which they said was fine) and I was there at that exact time. After being there 18 minutes they said they only have a 15 minute late window. I reminded them I had called on the way there and I was only 8 minutes late. After sitting there for 26 minutes today in their office they finally tell me they can not see me today and they wouldn't be able to see me for two more days and naturally I can't do my appointment on that day either. What a total joke. Obviously they don't think even long time customers are of value to them. Pretty sad. read more

I had been going to them for almost 10 years. Needless to say, I'm NOT A FAN!! The teeth they "fixed" are now broken. Up sale night guards that never fit. They made me a partial, which never fit as well. Beyond disappointed by this practice. They act like they are all about the community and really care. They don't!! I've reached out many times and received no response. I've watched them take complete advantage of their patients, especially seniors. It made me sick to my stomach. They don't care, it's all about the money. ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!!! They wouldn't even call in a prescription for that fancy toothpaste, just a pathetic way to run a business. Do not go there!I had them make me a partial which was awful.I went back 6 times because it hurt and didn't fit properly. Dr.Benich told me if was because of my jaw bone and I would need to go to an Orthopedic surgeon .I wore it only for cosmetics and could not eat with it.I finally went to a dentist a friend recommended and he told me it was one of the worst partials he had ever seen and there was nothing wrong with my jaw. This Dental office boasts that walk-ins are welcomed to sign in between 7:00am and 8:00am. I walked and signed in at 7:02am on 5/27/2022. Hurting with the excruciating pain of an abscess. After an hour of waiting(8:00am), I approached the sign-in desk to get an idea of how much longer the wait would be. I was given the age-old "Ma'am, I'm not sure, we do have appointments and we'll try to fit you in". I understand what the term "walk-in" means. So, I sat back down. While sitting there hurting, and waiting I had already began watching the the influx of patients that had begun to fill the waiting area. I had also noted that people who had come in to sign after me were being called into the back, patients and as well other walk ins. After another hour 9:00am I approached the desk again to inquire of my wait time. I was, at this time given a very snobbish retort by one of the sign in employees telling me that they have only been seeing patients and that no other walk-ins had been seen before me, which was a lie. I had to repeat my complaint several times that people who had signed in after me had been called, seen and released! All were NOT Patients with previously assigned appointments. Some of them were walk ins such as I was. By this time a woman who appeared to be an administrator called me back to an office to see what the issue was, I explained to her what I perceived was happening, she, of course denied my perception. She left to go and find out from the other two employees what was happening, after about two minutes here comes this little scraggly looking man raising his voice towards me trying to convince me that my complaints were not valid and twice told me to "shut up". He was one of the 3 Dentist that is seeing hundreds of patients a day, yet boasts of "walk-ins" being welcomed on emergency visits. but having to wait 3-5 hours to be seen by one of the three is absolutely ludicrous! After much cajoling I was given an Xray, and without asking, I was given a prescription for a very "highly addictive" painkiller, without having asked my level pain! That, in my opinion, is NOT professional at all If you're not already a patient here, DON'T GO IN AS A WALK-IN NEEDING EMRGENCY CARE!!! read more

My experience was awful from start to "finish". I put finish in quotes because they never finished the job. The front desk staff have a very snobby air about them. Sherri is the worst of the bunch. Can't believe she still has a job there but I guess that goes to show how terrible the practice really is. I liked Dr. Benich at first. He reminded me of Bill Nye the Science Guy and Mr. Rogers rolled into one. He was funny and seemed quite kind. Well, I had 9 teeth removed from the practice next door (that's a whole nother story). I went to Dr. Benich for the bridge to be made and it was a total nightmare. The tone of Dr. Benich entirely changed when I told him the bridge would not fit right. And this is after a week or so of having it. I know things like this take time to heal and adjust. But, I have had dental work before and this was not working. I went back a few weeks later for the adjustment and Dr. Benich kept piling on glue and more glue to try and make it fit. I don't need adhesive on a bridge. I need it adjusted. Then I was told, "There's no magic button". Yeah, obviously I know that. All I am in need of is a bridge that can stay put. Finally, I was over giving them chance after chance to fix it (and super nice about it), I asked for a refund. As soon as I requested it, I got an extremely short email from Bo saying "return the bridge and you'll get your money back". Is this some sort of ransome email (lol)...No "I am sorry about your experience". Nothing. Very cold just like the rest of the staff. I didn't expect any apology or accepting of blame from them but would have been nice to feel like they cared. I will say the doctor assistants are very sweet and I feel bad because they are always rushing around and look burnt out. I don't blame them because this office is like a dental drive-thru. I rarely write any bad review but I feel this place deserves one. As someone who has had their fair share of tooth trouble over the years, please look at other options. I don't need to be treated like a princess when I go to get dental work (or anywhere else for that matter). I do expect a level of client service though, and this office is lacking all of that. Ruined my bite. They do not give you the in network rate of course it is not required by law in Ga. If you have an account credit, mine was close to 700.00 do not expect them to refund you, I have been trying to get them to send me my account credit since December of 2021. I paid my account in full after they said my insurance denied my claim which they did not. My insurance paid them 700 of which I have yet to get refunded from Benich dental. I will not use them or recommend them to anyone, I feel like they took advantage of me. On a side note their billing practices leave much to be desired and their office manager Sheri Rutledge is useless. read more

Run, don't walk! Terrible business. Went to Dr Benich for an estimate for dentures and extractions. At first he seems to be a nice enough guy, even boasting about how he did dental work for the governor. He made an initial impression of my mouth and gave me a quote and set me up for an appointment the following week to do a cleaning. When I got home, my wife and I looked at his reviews and were shocked to find unbelievably bad reviews, and even questions regarding workmanship, skill, competency, uncleanliness, and even over charging patients. I called back and spoke to the front desk and then to the dentist directly and informed them that I had decided not to proceed, due to the alarming amount of bad reviews. They tried to talk me into proceeding with the dentures, but I declined. They NEVER did any extractions, no X-rays, no cleaning, or never made any dentures, but they charged my benefit card at $845. When I called their office, they said they would get back to me regarding a refund. I called multiple times and they always said they were checking into it and would call back, but never did. I am still waiting for a refund and I'm filing a dispute with my benefit cards company. They charged me for work that was never done. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Very different post Covid Visit. Seems the are more money hungry now. I provided insurance info over the phone but when starting procedure they did not have anything on file. The rude assistant said there was a sign to provide it upon signing in but lady at front told me to sit down and that that they would let me know if anything was needed to complete registration. I went in for a cleaning and was told I needed a another procedure valued at $1k plus before the cleaning. Insurance would cover 80% after deductible but I didn't agree it was warranted bc I'm in no pain and floss/ brush at least 3 times a day. Also they did the same procedure pre Covid with -0- out of pocket. Then they said it was another procedure that can only be done once a lifetime (?) lol. I had to finally call BS and walked out. They informed me if no cavities but said guns were starting to show some wear. I'm 51, of course they will show wear. Unfortunately they only want your money in my opinion. read more

I went to the Marietta, Ga office. May,2020 I went to that office for hard relines that were done. Last week I went for my dentures to be adjusted. Dr Benich, younger one, comes in the room and gave excuses not to adjust dentures. One he told me to go to an oral surgeon that just so happens to be right next to their Woodstock office. Gee, what a coincidence!!! They were excuses that were not warranted. Then one of the techs comes on and told me that I can get "another " hard redline. DO NOT go to either one of their offices. I completely agree with the person who commented on "unsanitary" place. Unhygienic place, doctor (Tim) is old and wouldn't change gloves, would open door with gloves on, touches patient's back on same gloves. Other issue is they are charging more than insurance company allowed them to charge on negotiated rate. Per insurance company as a participant in insurance plan, they can't charge more than negotiated rate but office says they don't go by that and I am responsible for payment. Ive been going there for several years without any issues, but In February I went for my yearly cleaning & I was told I had a small cavity that although it was not presently causing discomfort or pain Dr Bo recommend I take care of it ASAP with a crown or regular filling. After asking what the cost would be, he checked my record & discovered I was overcharged $145 the previous year, I wondered how many times had I been overcharged without knowing!!!! I chose just the filling made my appointment & had it done by another dentist they have working there. From the moment I got home I had pain & discomfort on the tooth. Then the Corona Quarantine happened & they closed the office. I was able to get a "walk in appointment " at 9 am & was seen by Dr Tim (who as a previous reviewer stated "should retired") I explained everything (very calmly) that the other dentist damaged my tooth & I wanted it repaired! He ordered a full mouth of X-ray (which I already had in Feb) for ONE tooth ! His assistant only did one (she told me when he left the room that a full mouth was not necessary) & I also had the sphere X-ray. He told me that when I got back to my regular dentist & I stopped him & said YOU ARE MY REGULAR DENTIST!!!! Long story short I requested to speak to Dr Bo since he is now the chief cook & bottle washers & he refused to talk to me! Dr Tim offered me THREE TIMES an RX for antibiotics & pain killers & I said to him "but you told me there's no abscess or infection & declined 3 times. They gave me a referral to have a root canal (imagine if I had chosen a crown instead of the filling ) & escorted me out. When I went to pay there was "no charge" because basically they just wanted me out of there. Stay away from those chister with their Jesus plaques filled walls & happy family photos !!! read more

I had a tooth removed then from the office in Woodstock GA. I was told I would need a bone draft. I was charged for the bone draft and was told the insurance would pay the remaining. After one day the stitches stared to come out and some of the bone draft along with it. I went in and was told it was fine. By the end of the week everything came out. I was going to dispute the charges but this is my regular dentist so I did not want to start any fires especially when someone is working in your mouth. I also had a partial that I paid over $400 dollars for. Today I went in to pick up my partial and to get my teeth cleaned. I was told that my bill was $272.00 for the days visit. I paid then asked what the $272 charge was for. I was told for the Bone Draft that my insurance did not cover. I called today to get that dropped and I received major attitude and was told NO. I WILL NOT BE BACK. Stay away from this office. Very unprofessional. read more

Treated my dad horribly several years ago. He had health issues (low BP) The dentist pulled a tooth without knowing if my dad was OK to make that decision. My mother went up there and chewed Benich out. Lastly, I female dentist (Benich?) did a crown for me that never settled and it left a gap. The bad reviews I read did not surprise me. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! It is unsanitary and Dr. Tim will charge you depending on your age,race and weight. He is an old man that needs to retire. Beau his son is slowly trying to make the practice better but he is failing. The poor assistant working was running back and forth from room to room. Almost in tears. I had a slight dental emergency (chipped a molar) and was referred to Benich Dental, they got me in the very first thing the next AM (office was already done seeing appts. for the day). The staff were all so friendly, and caring. Even though the office was VERY busy, they were right on time and no waiting to be seen. I saw Dr. Beau, he was able to repair my tooth and replace the filling, rather than pull it or have a crown. I saw NOTHING in this office that made me think it was unsanitary, quite the opposite. I took time to look at the surroundings and was very pleased with the cleanliness and organization throughout the office upon my arrival and when in the treatment room. Dr. Tim came by to say hello and introduce himself, a very nice man. I have seen MANY dentists in the Canton/Cherokee County area and I am so grateful to have been referred here (by 3 others) and that I went. They are my new regular primary dentist and I already have my appt. for my annual cleaning made! As far as charges, I was pleasantly surprised that I was not charged an emergency visit (they easily could have) and that they made the process with my insurance as simple as could be. This place i heard was suppose to make the prettiest teeth and so i went there. they made my teeth and they felt really big the Doctor told me then that is normal and will go down and so on. so i went home and the sides of my mouth was getting tears in it and my gums hurt really bad and i was getting sores. so now after paying all this money that i didint really have i have teeth i cant wear. so i called them back and i told them these teeth do not fit the lady acted concerned and told me to come in so i did and then they tell me that they can realign them for 99.00 a plate and i told the doctor my complaint how they have never fit me since i got them and so on. and he said well you sign a sheet saying when you got them that they fit you and you have used them when i had not at that point used them so there is nothing they can do other than realign the same ones that are way to big for my mouth in the first place. i would so not recommend this place after going through all this with them! i will say the teeth are very pretty but they are pretty in the cup because they are way to big for my mouth i think maybe they gave me someone elses teeth because my mouth is not that d**n big.. and they will do nothing. now i have to go buy more teeth that i hope will fit my mouth thanks for nothing benich dental wont recommend you to an enemy...... read more
