A nice little quiet spot when you don't want to be treated like just another number. Great service! Friendly host. Looks nicer inside than out. The majority of the restaurant is set up for white linen dinning. We out front. We ordered parmigiana and sausage subs. Both were made well. The chicken was lightly seasoned and the cheese tasted fresh and delicious. The sausage and pepper was also made well just a little saltier bc it was sausage. Coffee was very good! We enjoyed a nice dinner at Beni's recently. Started with a delicious salad. The large salads are definitely big enough for two people. Our server was flexible, and allowed to choose different dressings. Then we had a 14 inch Margherita pizza. In my opinion, also big enough for two. The ingredients were fresh and it was delicious. I like my pizza crust a little more well done, but who am I to complain? The ambience is friendly and relaxed. The restaurant is pretty basic as you can see from the picture I took, but they have a very extensive menu, so there is something for everyone (also in pics). I thought the service was good. We had a very early dinner so they weren't a lot of people there but they had a bunch of takeout orders. Very friendly atmosphere and I would recommend it. read more

Seriously, BEST service EVER! So here's my story: I live in California and I have a girlfriend who just had major surgery that lives near this restaurant. So I called around looking to send some good food to her while she is recovering. I don't know the area, I don't even know if they would be accommodating to deliver, open door and bring the food in the house for someone that is convalescent. Ok, from the moment I called, I was truly expecting someone to be busy, not care what I was trying to accomplish, nope, I got the opposite. Once I told Erza what I was trying to accomplish, her immediate reply was "we got this"! And boy did they. Erza was SO patient with me on the phone as I went through their menu and I wanted to order enough food for a couple of days. I asked for ideas and she was so wonderful. I place my order and I swear, my girlfriend called me 30 minutes later that a nice man had delivered all this food! Even included a note from us. Wow, here I was having such anxiety if I could pull this off and Erza made this way beyond easy. Thank you so much. The pizza was OK. I was hungry and ordered a pie - the order was botched. I overlook botched orders of the pizza is exceptional but it's definitely not what I'll be craving in the future If I'm in the area. Perhaps they were busy and it's an off night for them. Who knows. My family recently had a rehearsal dinner at Beni's. Everything was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was over the top, the girls were very friendly, efficient, and kept the drinks coming!!! Price was very reasonable and we even left with a ton of left overs. We ordered Margarita pizza take out (delivery) for years either weekly or every 2 weeks. The pizza was always great, but recently we ordered the same Pizza and it seemed that it was a left over white pizza (sitting on the counter for a long time) dressed up as a Margarita pizza. We confronted the manager STEVE, bringing the pizza back and got no positive words only argarments, so we left the pizza there and walked out. There use to be a time when the customer was right at all costs, but maybe it's this Covet 19 that makes a business respond like this. In any case I would not recommend this place because there are better pizza places every where in Stony Point and a lot more reasonable. read more

The staff is so friendly and actually remembered us after returning a few weeks later for a sit down dinner. The atmosphere is family friendly. Service is very friendly and attentive. Shared two meals that were amazing. Had a veal and eggplant dish that the veal was like butter and the sauce was outrageous . This place used to be my "go to" place. Whoever asked me, Beni's was the place. I had their number on phone and menu on my fridge-until today! I ordered two large pies with toppings to pick up. The girl rang me up for $37. I said gee that seemed high-but oh well. Then what may have been the manager or owner approached and double checked the girl's bill. Apparently she under charged me! The actual amount was $47! I remarked wow and he asked me with the most unfriendly face- what's the problem! I just said it seemed high as I was already signing the receipt. He mumbled about pizza once costing 15 cents. The price was surprising but the reaction and attitude is what did me in. From now on anyone who asks me, I'l tell them about 3 brothers in Haverstraw or the place in Pomona. I will direct them away from Beni's. read more

We went as a party of 12 and not only did they never check on us and ask if we needed at least water. I felt our table was the table in the corner being punished for no reason. I will start by saying I think this is my first Yelp review ever. I always give restaurants 2nd, 3rd, 4th chances. I am in the food business and understand the world today and what it takes to be successful, and this isn't written looking for something for free. The hope here is that Beni's will learn and the next customer will have a great experience. Beni's Trattoria of Garnerville is inconsistent at best and more times than not, marginal. My family usually orders from there at least 3 times a month, and most times the order is wrong or something is missing. Their fried calamari is different every time we order it. The breading is different, the texture is different, the taste is different. Their chicken wings are a frozen product, not that it is a bad thing, but some of the wings still have pin feathers on them, they are cut inconsistent with some jumbo pieces and some tiny pieces. Many times a salad entree is missing dressing. The pizza is always very soft in the middle no matter how well done they make it and that is because they make dough and use the old ones that have over fermented instead of discarding. It costs roughly $.50 for a pizza crust. The take out containers they use, the flimsy aluminum containers are always smashed in, food is always leaking out making a mess in the car when we pick it up. They use a lot of frozen fish products as well, their salmon has a thick bloodline (brown stuff on the bottom), that they never clean off. It is bitter and bad tasting. Last night was the end for me. I ordered Sole Francaise. My wife placed the order and was sure to tell them I wanted Sole and not Tilapia which they said was not a problem. When we picked up the food and brought it home, the fish was Tilapia. I probably could have gotten passed that, but the fish was bad. It had a very strong taste (both Tilapia and Sole and very mild) and smelled like ammonia. Anyone familiar would know the smell, know the fish is bad and discard it. Instead it was cooked and served to me. Another dish in the garbage. I called Beni's and spoke to the person who took the order and she remembered my wife calling. I explained that it was the wrong fish, and more importantly, it was bad. Her response was that they 'ran out of sole'. Good customer service is someone calls you back and tells you they don't have what you ordered and doesn't sub in something. To her credit, she did tell me they would prepare me another dish and give me a credit for the bad dinner. At that point, my family was half way done eating and I wasn't waiting and driving back. This is just another shining example of Beni's trying to cut corners. Beni's did VERY WELL well during the pandemic, he could have retired. There is no reason to buy and use bad products. It's so much easier to retain a loyal customer than to attract a new one. Good luck replacing my revenue and your profit. Ps. I never even mentioned my friend who will not eat there any longer after seeing the pizza person wiping his nose on his arm and continuing to make a pie, or the time we ordered for delivery and the order didn't show up, and after 2.5 hours they told us they didn't make it, after telling us many times it was on the way. Cheap food is not good and good food is not cheap and customer service is job #1. read more

My wife and I love this place. The chicken parmigiana is delicious and the portions are huge. I usually cut it in half and include the pasta. There's always enough leftover for dinner during the week. The service is very good. The two waitresses are very attentive. The linen tablecloth is a treat. Feels like you're in an expensive restaurant but the prices are moderate. And let's not forget about BYOB. That's a big plus. What a pleasant surprise! Do not judge this book by its cover. Someone back there knows how to cook and how to present a very appetizing meal. House salad is not the usual drab leaves of iceberg lettuce. It's a melange of colorful mixed greens with a few cherry tomatoes and sliced cucumbers, and don't recall what else, but it was crisp, pretty and delicious. Scampi and scallops over capellini were properly prepared. Chicken parmigiana was generous, tender and properly seasoned. Pan seared salmon with broccoli was bright and delicious. Generous portion of Fettuccini Alfredo came slathered in a creamy sauce - perhaps too much sauce. The only real problem was the espresso. Why do restaurants believe they must fill the demitasse cup to the brim with a watery concoction rather than serve a proper espresso that may take up a third of the cup, at most, but has flavor and body? Oh, and hold the lemon peel! It's an abomination that I'll never understand. Service was pleasant and prompt. We'll be back, but we'll bring our own coffee! read more

Horrible service. I ate there a few days ago. Nine people so they put us in the room to the left of the pizza counter. The restaurant was busy but it took 75 minutes to serve the first four entrees and another full five minutes after to serve the remaining five entrees. My meal, Buffalo Chicken Salad was Ok. The chicken was supposed to be breaded but was mostly soggy. As soon as we were seated, the waitress took our drink order. 8 waters, 1 Apple juice. The waitress brought out the juice and two pitchers filled with ice/water which poured six glasses.
