When he arrived, he began insisting on payment for a diagnostic before even opening the hood or inspecting either vehicle, and then asked for partial payment just to begin. Due to heavy rain, he mentioned possibly needing to reschedule and said he didn't want to "abort mission." I told him that was his decision as the business owner and I would respect it. He chose to proceed. I also explained that I was planning to sell one of the vehicles and wanted it evaluated, but he refused, stating it would be "somebody else's problem." Despite proceeding, he refused to get out of his car and did not inspect either of the two vehicles at all (no hood opened, no physical checks). Instead, he relied on the codes I had already pulled and repeated that information back to me, then claimed I needed a transmission without verifying anything. He also stated that he "doesn't need to get out of his car to do a diagnostic." Afterward, he asked if I appreciated his help enough to send an additional $50. I offered $30, but since he had not performed any work, I told him that was not a viable decision. He later texted around 10 PM threatening to have my car towed over the $50. I paid the initial $50, but no diagnostic service was performed. I would recommend confirming all pricing and expectations clearly before working with him.

It took them 7 Months to finish the engine and when I received the engine it failed before it left the Kenworth Truck Repair shop. I had to have the new engine rebuilt after the mechanic took it for a test drive. The piston rings were put on wrong and the bearings were not pre lubricated causing them to severely score. MTZ engines also used worn out rusty parts inside the engine that were found when Kenworth rebuilt the engine. I had to take a complete loss on the MTZ engine. After all that I left this review. MTZ bribed me to take down my negative review. They were going to send me another engine to cover the lost money from their poorly built engine. I took the negative review down. I never received the replacemnt. After numerous calls they offered to give me a partial payment, actual money. $1500 to replace the $22,000 engine. I did not accept. MTZ said they were going to call me in another week to negotiate. I have not heard from them since. It took 7 months to get the first engine that did not work. I have been trying to get some kind of reimbursement for 1 year and 2 months. I am Just going to accept it as a total loss and leave this review to hopefully prevent someone else from getting screwed over.

Once the process started, he called me down from my house and told me I would need to pay for another bottle of coolant just to test whether his work was complete. That was odd because we had already supplied him with a full bottle. We refused, but he still went to the store. While he was at the register, he called us and told us the total, as if we hadn't already declined to send him to the store. After he claimed he was finished, he knocked on my door and told me he had locked his keys in his car and had left his equipment in MY CAR. He then asked if he could wait inside my house while his wife drove 30 minutes to bring him another set of keys. At that point, my house was not in the right condition for someone to be waiting inside, so this was extremely uncomfortable and honestly a huge inconvenience. Once his wife finally arrived, he came back and said that he felt he wasn't paid enough for the job he had done. At that point, I was already extremely uncomfortable and frustrated with the entire situation. Then, to make matters worse, I started finding loose bolts in the corner of my car that were supposed to be on the water pump. When I asked him about the bolts, he said he had purchased new ones because he didn't have enough of the correct bolts to finish the job. However, after he went to the store--which we never agreed to send him to--he came back claiming that he had the correct amount of bolts all along. What really pissed me off was that he left my car jacked up IN HOUSTON, OF ALL PLACES, with the engine exposed. AND NOW, LESS THAN TWO MONTHS LATER, THE WATER PUMP IS STILL LEAKING COOLANT. The exact issue we paid to have repaired has not been resolved. With all the confusion throughout this entire process, I honestly don't understand how we could be accused of shorting him when the original agreement was completely different. It's WAY too hot in Texas for people to be spending their hard-earned money and still not have the problem resolved. I paid for a service, and I expect the work to be completed correctly and my vehicle to be left in the condition it was supposed to be in. It hasn't even been a full two months since he last worked on my car, and we are STILL dealing with a leaking water pump.
