Since then, this bubble tea franchise has shut down in the GTA. Chung Chun Rice Dog has taken over this spot. This change explains Skycity in a nutshell. There is a high concentration of bubble tea shops at Skycity. Competition is fierce. I was recently here, thinking that I should get some bubble tea. I actually couldn't decide because the selection was insane and proceeded with my errands instead... haha! I tend to visit Chatime the most here to get my bubble tea fix. Apart from an oversaturation of bubble tea stores, this place has a ton of food. I feel like it'll take me years to eat my way through this place. I recently visited Chung Chun and had an excellent experience. I love their Korean rice dogs and I'm thrilled that this location is a lot closer to me than heading over to North York to satisfy my cravings. My local Cheese Garden is here. I like that I can order online and drop by to pick up my goods. There are benches scattered around the plaza in case you are in a food coma after stuffing yourself to rest or take a nap. There is plenty of parking, although it does getting busy at night. Many eateries and bubble tea places open till 11:30 pm or midnight. There are other businesses, such as electronic stores, nail salons, and more. I have yet to make a dent in these categories here. The catch is that when you exit onto Midland, you can only turn right. Although it's convenient for me to turn left and head home, I don't mind cycling around the block to get home. It's safer considering how weird drivers can be around this area. One of these days, I will visit every bubble tea place here. The problem is that I have my usual places in Markham that it's tough to break decent habits. (342)

There is lots of outdoor parking (could get crowded), and a few benches to sit outdoors. During pandemic times, all food restaurants are takeout. Recently restaurants are allowed to serve food on an outdoor patio but not all restaurants made a patio. There is no general WiFi for the mall.

Also the washrooms in this mall haven't been renovated & are usually dirty. One plus for this mall is the new Marry Me Mochi donut place near Moxie's. Also this Moxie's has a great cook. The food here has always been good when I eat at this location. I have been to other Moxie's and they are not good. A con for this mall is the transit is now outside the mall on one of the side roads. When the LRT used to be open there was a bus bay there the buses used to stop. So for transit users this mall isn't as convenient as it used to be. This mall is best for those who have a car.

They are adding more stores soon since the big box retailers Bay and Sear are long gone. There's an Ikea city store and Urban Behavior clearance store with all items $10 or less. This new information kiosk is kind of cool. Its setup like a smartphone with widgets. If you are looking to do some Xmas shopping this holiday season then definitely come here. The food offerings here are excellent as well. They got a huge food court with lots of delicous food offerings across the globe. You want more of a dine in experience? Visit Moxies, Jack Astors, Scaddabush, Milestones, Hibachi, etc. The washrooms here need more TLC. The cleaning staff need to clean more frequently to make it a more pleasant shopping experience.

A nice and safe indoor place for Halloween as an annual visit to this plaza. Seriously, this place is a little bit run down as compared to those mainstream, with big block stores, and nicely branded shopping malls. But it does serve the local community well. It does bring great memories to kids and families. It does provide a great trick-or-treating experience for small young kids in a warm and safe atmosphere. The best part was the magic show that gave children a fun time while enjoying their treats with friends and families under one roof. This local shopping plaza does have its uniqueness. Keep it up to serve the neighborhood!

If you are into grocery shopping.. there are Metro which is more pricey but has better grocery selections and Price Chopper which is a little cheaper but limited in selections. For all a round department store that has everything, Bridlewood does have Zellers... and for the handyman/woman in you, Home Hardware is at your service. Fast food choice wise, there are Tim Horton's, MacDonald's and Pizza Pizza. There are also a few bubble tea places... There are not many clothing stores though.. so I guess I cannot do a makeover from top to bottom in here. Of course, with Toronto Public Library that has wifi access.. this makes Bridlewood Mall A-OK!

I've seen some of the exact same plates at other stores for maybe 30% higher price Cups and plates are my personal go to, but they have everything from soys sauce dishes to modern coffee mugs to matcha ceremony bowls. Styles are far ranging and include cute and elegant, modern and traditional styles, and they carry lots of different sizes so you are likely to find something to suit your taste. I personally only buy dishwasher safe / microwaveable ceramics (so I actually use them) and a lot of the stock they have fits that criteria. The rest of the store is a whole labyrinth of home goods like beauty, kitchen tools, home organization, snacks, and craft goods. Again some rare finds exist, so it is well worth a look. I personally bought calligraphy stuff that was cheaper and more convenient here than buying it online, and they had related supplies like writing pads, practice paper, etc. The Japanese trinket/souvenir section stands out to me because you can get things that are rare to chance upon elsewhere. The ceramic darumas are well priced, and I've bought other cute traditional figurines there. Overall there's a lot to see in this store, to the point where it feels overwhelming to browse all sections. I keep my visits targeted and short so I don't wear myself out looking at 200 pairs of similar looking chopsticks. Also, sometimes the prices in this store are questionable, but I browse knowing overall it's fair (case in point for weird pricing - tiny plate $2, significantly larger medium size plate for $2.25). I don't live close by so I come around whenever I'm in the area.

If you're sitting at two tables that are stuck together and aren't using one side, don't be surprised if someone asks if they can pull the table apart to sit next to you. There is a TV on each side of the food court depending on which way you're facing and it appears to always be set to Fairchild. The food court has notices that guests are restricted to a 60 minute sitting time. I've never been there that long so I'm not sure if it's enforced.
