The initial visit went great. The office staff were friendly and Dr. Taylor had reviewed ALL my mom's records and we did not have to crack the folder with all the printed records we were asked to bring. He listened to my Mom, provided options, and then gave us time to talk privately prior to making any decisions. This approach and not feeling rushed was very important to us both. The office agent who was waiting for the urgent referral to come through called me several times to keep me apprised as Peak gastroenterology was NOT efficient. The scheduler was a fantastic and responsive and explained many things to my mom. Dr Taylor communicated with me twice during the day of surgery, saw my mom EVERY day around 1pm while she was in the hospital. His assistant saw my mom EVERY day around 6am while she was in the hospital. AMAZING and consistent so I could also be present. My mom's follow appt with his assistant was thorough and she communicated well with us both. Dr Taylor was extremely knowledgeable and efficient and his demeanor in ALL interactions was kind...could not stress enough what a welcoming experience this was overall! I love his attitude towards his patients and their health. He takes every precaution that he feels is necessarily needed for your over all health for longevity. I guess it is up to the patients to ensure they stay in business. The patient portal does not work. I set up an account, was able to get in once and now I cannot. I called to get some help, but the girl on the phone said "Oh yeah, that thing hardly ever works." I tried to reset my password/username and it gives me an error message that the username/password is already in use and does not let you go any farther.
