After a previous electrical contractor left my home's functioning electrical system--one I had…read moresimply wanted modernized--incomplete, downgraded, and in places unsafe, and misrepresented what had actually been done, I called local electrical supply houses and asked who they would trust to work on their own homes. Two independent suppliers recommended CDE. CDE ended up removing everything the prior contractor had installed and rewiring the entire house correctly. It simply wasn't possible to fix what had been done by the prior contractor with any confidence. The CDE difference was night and day -- in a good way. The same electrician worked here every day, methodically and conscientiously, room by room, with the same apprentice throughout the project. The owner or the foreman checked on them. They were precise, careful, and always willing to answer questions and at that point based on the prior electricians, I had a lot of questions. It was clear they took real pride in doing the job right. Before CDE came in, every night before going to sleep I found myself thinking, "Are the batteries good in the fire alarms, and is this the night I'm going to have to throw the dogs off the balcony because the house catches fire?" Anytime I turned on the microwave, I found myself checking where the fire extinguisher was and whether it was fully charged something I later learned made sense, because of actions the prior "electricians" had taken unbeknownst to me. After CDE corrected the system, that worry disappeared. Everything worked again as it had before the prior electricians created dangerous conditions in that circuit that had not existed before. Even though the work took a few days longer than originally estimated, CDE did not cut corners. These other electrician had told me my walls would have to be torn open to do the job, costing me thousands of dollars. CDE didn't need to tear walls open and anyway they have a carpenter on staff who repaired openings properly, most things he repaired were caused by the prior electricians destruction, and they actually look good when he's finished. They've been in business for over 20 years, and after watching them remove and rebuild an entire system the RIGHT way, I would trust them with any electrical project. Their pricing was also extremely reasonable and less than the other electricians who did the destructive work. As the owner told me, "peace of mind is what we provide." That's exactly what I (finally) got.

Grayless heating and cooling 5 stars! They came a day before…read morescheduled to replace our 50 year old furnace and AC when it started giving us problems. Equipment is only as good as it's instalation and these guys are top notch! They put in our new furnace and heat pump in one day and did the extras like replacing old wiring and condensation drain tube to prevent future problems. They covered our floor with tarps to avoid tracking dirt through the house and cleaned up all remnants of our old system. We had 3 estimates, all were within $100 of each other so I feel their pricing was very competitive. The installers were both friendly and professional, and took time after completing instalation to make sure we understood all the information we needed to operate our new equipment. They also followed up with two phone calls to make sure everything was working good and we was happy with our purchase. I would highly recomend Grayless heating and cooling for all your HVAC needs!

I had him come out to clean and inspect my chimney. The cleaning went well, he seemed to do a good…read morejob and didn't make a mess. After inspection we found that the chimney is in bad shape and needs to be partially taken down and rebuilt. I told him that I was interested in getting an estimate on just taking it down for safety's sake and one for rebuilding it to be functional. A whole month later after numerous phone calls and voicemails I can't get him to respond, so it seems as though he never had any intention of doing the job even though he said he would get me estimates. I wouldn't care if he just told me he wasn't interested in the job, but to just ignore all attempts of contact is a bad way to run a business.
